This week we go over 300 Black out vs 556! Scott Dryun LACCW.net (818)-825-8760 805-520-4867 4228 E Los Angeles Ave, Simi Valley, CA 93063 @gretasgunsoriginalpage
A subsonic 220 grain projectile will penetrate farther than a super sonic 62 grain? If both rounds were supersonic for sure, but we discussed supersonic 556 and subsonic 300 blkout
@@GRETASGUNS yes. 220 grain subsonic will penetrate farther than a 62 grain softpoint through residential building materials. Penetration is based on momentum and sectional density, not kinetic energy.
300blk subs will run in the rifle but won’t stabilise. You want 1in5 twist for subs and closer to 1in12 for supers so you have to choose what you want it to be used for primarily unless you don’t care about accuracy at all 👍
True that, however we were talking about home defense applications and I was ringing a 8” gong at 100 yards everytime, if you have a 100 yard hallway you are living the dream lol
Im dropping the bomb here, but you're wrong. The only good thing about 300 BO is the suppression factor. Other than that, the cheapest 55g 5.56 ammo will perform just as good as the best 300 BO ammo ballistically.
Absolutely love my LWRC!!🇲🇽✊🏾
You can’t go wrong! They make a hell of a rifle!
Thanks Mike, I enjoy both my 556 and 300 BO from Greta's Guns in Simi Valley.
Appreciate you Scott! 👊👊
Dude, 300 blk penetrates more walls than 5.56. You can find multiple RUclips videos that show this fact.
100%
A lot of folks have that misunderstanding

@@es4583 Yup just physics my dude! Plus, I have tested this out extensively!

Not sure what you mean, no where did we say which caliber was better, we laid out applications and the differences
I love that rifle, even If CA compliant.
Can never go wrong with either of them!
