Just picked up my VP9L a few weeks ago. The slide safety take down seemed like a bummer after watching this video, but after getting it in hand and fiddling with it the slide removal is not complicated at all. I didn't have to stick anything in from the bottom of the frame. Could mine be "defective" or something?

Thank you for the great videos. Last year, there was only one SK model on the CA handgun roster, which expired as of December 31, 2024. Currently, for the VP9SK, there is no specific model listed, and it simply says "Model: VP9SK OR*." Considering there are a few models available online, how can I ensure that the one I purchase is CA compliant? Also, the pictures usually shown do not clearly display the magazine disconnect or loaded chamber indicator.
