Je ne me souviens avoir jamais écouté les 4 Saisons de Vivaldi avec un tel rythme, une telle inventivité musicale et avec une telle joyeuse tendresse. Chapeau bas, l'artiste... Tu nous as quitté, coquin ! Mais tu nous as laissé de telles interprétations époustouflantes...
He was a master of classical piano and probably one of the best jazz pianists ever, because he was a master of improvisation, during which you can follow the theme without missing a beat. Budding jazz musicians should learn from this maestro
He is simply the world's best pianist/arranger/interpreter.

It's so beautiful, it doesn't sound that jazzy actually, so it still shows the Baroque quality a lot.
A real master. His versions of Baroque music enlighten jazz and actual music.

Quel magnifique musicien... il est par trop méconnu, sauf des vrais publics - les Allemands ne s'y trompent pas, eux. Cette interprétation est magistrale, musicale, créative, et elle donne à entendre des richesses de Vivaldi qu'on n'entendait plus dans le fatras des crincrins policés.

Che Jacques LOussier avesse anche rielaborato e riarrangiato Vivaldi,uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto assieme a Bach e Mozart,non ne ero informato,ed è quindi la prima volta che ascolto questi lavori.Ma mi spiace che non cisiano i suoi collaboratori,basso e batterie,peccato.In effetti per una 'riduzione' a jazz della 'classica,per conto mio gradisco 'il beat' di accompagnamento:gusto mio personale,si intende.Nient'altro.Tutto qui.
