Every teenage girl in 1991 cried themselves to sleep to this song. So beautiful, and their harmony is insane. Neno is an excellent guitarist as well, check out Play with Me to see for yourself. A more fun upbeat song.
I love this song and I still know all the words! If “show me” was a song! Their voices blend so well and that acoustic guitar is beautiful. This song is so true because actions speak so much louder than words. 💖💖
Still one of my favorite songs of all time. The harmonies, acoustic picking and lyrics still give me goosebumps. Helps that they were gorgeous as well 😉
Was in college when this came out. Learned how to play this song guitar. Years later I introduced my daughter to this song and we would duet. Made me a proud papa to hear her voice and raising her on excellent and eclectic music.
Gary Sherrone is an amazing vocalist. His stint with van Halen was surprisingly good. He could actually do both the David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar songs and do them very well. He never received the credit he deserves. But that's life...
I agree Gary got a bad rap when he did Van Halen because everyone was expecting girls songs and car songs and Eddie grew up and he wanted to tackle more serious subjects and they blamed Gary for it it wasn't fair! The whole album was fantastic! I highly suggest you check out fire in the hole
The black haired guy (Nuno) was married to Australian rock singer Suze DeMarchi from the band Baby Animals -they are very much worth a reaction - try their song Early Warning which was their first hit but they have lots or great songs.
Such a diverse range on the pornograffitti album, now you need to listen to Get the funk out, it's a completely different sound the whole thing is fantastic, Shame my ex never got the point like you do, thanks Jayy
Jayy!!! So glad you did this one. I'm pretty sure Nuno (the guy with the straight hair, not the lead singer) was my first crush back in the day. Loved this song! Glad you liked it too!
There's a more recent clip from just a few years ago that has Nuno Bettencourt (the guitar player in this) performing this with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith at a Nobel Peace Prize concert. Steven's voice works surprisingly well with this song.
Written by Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt. GC is the lead singer. NB is the guitarist 🎸. In other songs, he is also the keyboardist 🎹 They and 2 other members of Extreme, who are in the video 📹 not singing, are from Metro Boston. 1 unusual ballad from Extreme. Leans toward country music. Note that Extreme is a metal band! 🤯 There is another unusual ballad in the album. Suggested next video 📹 Whole Hearted. ❤
You’ve got to hear more Extreme. Nuno Betancourt is a beast on guitar. Try “Mutha (don't wanna go to school today)”. The way he carries the rhythms and leads on that song is reminiscent of Eddie Van Halen
My favorite band for most of my life. I’m so happy you finally checked out Extreme! This is definitely their most famous song but I prefer their harder rock sound, I really hope you react to some of that. I’d love to see you do “Get the Funk Out” or “Decadence Dance.” Or “Stop the World” which is so relevant today. Honestly there are so many to choose from!
As a black person I wanna know what's up with the treand as of the past year that black folks are just now discovering this wonderful classic song?? 😂 LOL I grew up listening to it and fell in love with this song as a kid and would bounce back and forth between the urban stations and the alternative music stations. I loved music, didn't matter the genre. Glad yall finally hearing this. 👍🏼
I'm always surprised you don't have lyrics somewhere on-screen, on the phone, or somewhere. It's also a song beginning guitarists can aim for because the percussiveness of the playing style is so useful for other songs, too.
Since it appears you really liked this one, check out the album version of this song. It's mostly the same, but there's an extended (by a minute or more) ending which is much different, and has some beautiful and unique vocal harmonies (that you don't hear anywhere else in the song, and that you don't hear in this video version). Here's a link - check it out when you're in the mood! ruclips.net/video/0R-FGchhwLw/видео.html
Jayy. There is a song called - blue moon by Elvis from the sun sessions.. 1954 I believe , it is AMAZING.. it was a big hit for the marcels. But his version is haunting and phenomenal vocal.. not a lot of people are familiar with it. I know you love Elvis so give it a try..
Would you please consider check out CRAIG MORGAN “the father, my son, & the Holy Ghost It’s about a true story. I love your Barry mani low reactions, their the best 🥰 And think only you would appreciate the song. Thanks so so much

👀
Yes, Play With Me is so fun and crazy! And they even used it in the new season of Stranger Things! 😃
@@THEJAYYSHOW i LOVE this song so much!!!! And these twins have the prettiest, luxurious,softest- looking hair ever!
@@geminiacleo7ewe um... they are no twins in Extreme. You are probably thinking of Nelson.
@@richardmcdonald6237 didn't type twins i typed two( this time it was "teo, then tep...)
Amazing that this beautiful soft love song was performed by a metal band. ❤
The power of a single guitar and words
This song is timeless and one of my favourites.
I love this song and I still know all the words! If “show me” was a song! Their voices blend so well and that acoustic guitar is beautiful. This song is so true because actions speak so much louder than words. 💖💖
These guys are either playing the hardest, funkiest, grooviest music or they make playing the sweetest, most beautiful music you’ve ever heard.
The 🎸 player is a virtuoso..Nuno is incredible
My grandmother always said, actions speak louder than words. She was not wrong.
Still one of my favorite songs of all time. The harmonies, acoustic picking and lyrics still give me goosebumps. Helps that they were gorgeous as well 😉
🎸🎸🎸🎸 I understand that this was originally a song the group used to warm up their voices before concerts.
🔥🔥🔥
So glad you got to hear this - I know you're really sensitive and a fan of simple, beautiful melodies and meaningful lyrics. This is a good one 👍💕
So beautiful
One of my favorite songs! Oh, the memories...😍. And Nuno!! 😍😍😍
🔥
I love Nuno so much he"s still gorgeous🤩😍💗💖💘❣️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💝💕💓💞🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

The best guitarist you never heard of. One of the best of all-time and only guitarists know it
get the funk out is probably extremes biggest hit by airplay, this is a close second.
👀
The black haired guy (Nuno) was married to Australian rock singer Suze DeMarchi from the band Baby Animals -they are very much worth a reaction - try their song Early Warning which was their first hit but they have lots or great songs.
Watch these guys steal the show at the concert for Freddie Mercury after he passed. They did a medley of Queen songs in front of over 80,000 people.
This was the wedding song of the 80’s everybody played it while the bride walked down the aisle.
Really??
@@THEJAYYSHOW no 🙂 and this song came out in the '90s.
The 80s? This song was released in March of 1991.
"Hole-hearted" is a great song of theirs

Absolutely! I totally agree get the funk out is so great! You cannot sit still when hearing that song it's impossible! :-)
@@ginamarandino6451 There are so few albums that show the full diversity of a band.

❤️
Fun fact: Gary Sharone recorded an album with Van Halen as the lead singer
Yes he is saying. Don’t say you love me. Show me. Do it. This was the wedding song chosen by my wife to be shortly after this song was released.
There's a more recent clip from just a few years ago that has Nuno Bettencourt (the guitar player in this) performing this with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith at a Nobel Peace Prize concert. Steven's voice works surprisingly well with this song.
Weird Al paroded this video, wrote his own song called " You don't love me anymore." It is a work art, very funny.

That wasnt the real ending, that is what you really need to hear. Its what I and others wait for.
Two guys and a guitar. Too awesome!
This one of my favourites,
I see why
Really great song. Get your favorite girl and bring your two step!
We had this at our wedding. I would imagine that many others did, too.

A beautiful song I recommend is Led Zeppelin “the rain song”. You’ll thank me. It’s truly beautiful.
We played this song at our wedding in 1993.
