I was at the Reading festival in 1980 when Slade made their comeback appearance. At the end of their set, no one would let them leave. When Noddy Holder ask the crowd what did they want to hear. Everyone shouted for "merry xmas". To which Noddy replied. 'It's the middle of fucking August'. Before playing what we all wanted. Jayy my angel. It's been a real privilege watching your love & knowledge of music grow. I've got news for you. It never stops. It's the best thing. Peace out.
