Underappreciated band in my opinion. And Noddy had one of the best, most distinctive rock-and-roll voices ever.

Underappreciated because their catalogue has been overshadowed by their own Christmas song.

You just have to love a song that the entire audience can sing along with. This song ranks right up there with Queen's "We Will Rock You"....just an inane joy of a song.

How many people realise SLADE are the third most successful British band, for chart success.
Only the Beatles & Rolling Stones have had more number 1s and top 40 positions.
It may be many well over forty years ago, but from 1971-74 they simply dominated the record industry.
It takes great music to achieve that.

Dont care what anybody says! Noddy Holder is one of the top two greatest rock voices EVER!!!!! Who is the other? Brian Johnson of AC/DC! All the rest are trying to be them! What makes them better than the rest is that both of them could shred effortlessly. It was God given!

Love my country hate its leaders but unfortunately the reasons for Slades lack of acceptance in America is twofold 1. The media never understood hard rock/heavy metal 2. The country as a whole is musically shallow with a short attention span
