Hello, Natasha! I made your Shepherd's Pie for dinner tonight! My daughter fell in love with it and requested it for her special milestone birthday dinner that is coming up the end of February. My husband loved it, too! You were totally right about the seasoning -- so glad that I followed your instructions. Thank you for a real winner! Soooo good! Best regards!
Just finished eating this delicious Shepherds pie ,my family rated it a 10,and I've never made a shepherds pie before .I certainly will be making this dish again . I don't think you could go wrong with Natasha's recipes . Her Blueberry muffins ,her Blueberry cake ,beef and broccoli are a staple at my house .
This looks delicious. I grew up eating Sheperd's pie. My mother made it in three layers. Ground beef on the bottom, creamed corn in the middle and mashed potatoes on top sprinkled with paprika. That's more or less how I make it to this day, in fact I'm eating some right now for breakfast, but I'll definitely give your recipe a go next time I make it! Thank you, Natasha!
@@ittsacrazyworld Sure, Laurie. In an oven safe pot or deep saucepan, place three pounds 80/20 ground beef and half a chopped onion. Brown in a little oil on medium heat. Salt and pepper to taste. Once the beef is browned and the onions are soft, scoop out any excess fat - but leave enough so it won't stick. Pour in two cans of creamed corn and cover till corn is bubbling. Top with mashed potatoes, thickness to taste. Sprinkle paprika on top. You can heat everything up on the stovetop. Or under the broiler if you want a brown crust on your potatoes. You can serve it as is or with ketchup or beef or chicken gravy. There are many options with this. I like a little spice, so sometimes I'll toss in a finely chopped hatch chili when I'm browning the meat. Mushrooms too, if your family likes them. You can even throw in cheese of any preference over the meat, before the corn. Enjoy!

First of all I wanted to wish you and you're family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Second, thanks for sharing all these recipes with us viewers. Me and my wife love to cook and I wanted you to know that at Thanksgiving I made your apple pie and my sister who is really a great cook which includes breads and pastries said that my apple pie was the best she has ever had. We have two granny smith apple trees in the back yard and last fall we put up 50 quarts of your pie filling. I didn't think it would freeze well but to our surprise it froze fantastically well. My sister kept saying there was no way her brother made a pie that was that good let alone made the pie crust from scratch. Your recipes are easy to follow and easy to make. About the only thing I haven't tried is your Brussel sprout recipes. That is one vegetable I cannot stand. Other then that, you are one talented young lady. Thanks Natasha. By the way, I am from Austrian descent so I cook a lot of German based recipes. I make a heck of a apple strudel. Authentic apple strudel takes me all day to make. We love Shepherd's Pie in our home. This recipe looks so yummy! Lil niece wants to help me again to make this recipe. She loves, loves your chicken pot pie!! Thank you again Natasha, and wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season. Take care and God Bless!
As an Irish person, I must agree with how well you did the pie! One small thing, for better flavour use beef with more fat. Also, an oxo cube works well in place of beef stock. Its more common to see people use oxo cubes for things like gravy when it comes to this stuff. Personally I would cook the vegetables in butter as well and without the wine - if you're looking for the fruit taste using something like apple or cranberry sauce works well here too 😋

Thank you Natasha for this recipe. My two youngest kids came from Amsterdam for Christmas and Mom is treating them with all the comfort food my Southern American mom taught me when I was in College. Your Shepherd Pie is as good as hers. My daughter can't wait for that oven to stop.

I made this a couple of weeks ago according to instructions with the exception of the mashed potatoes. The filling was AMAZING! I just used milk and butter in my mashed potato along with some grated kerry gold irish cheese. I'm making it again this weekend. Thank you for the video. Cheers!
I made this for my wife and she said I hit it out of the park with this dish. Amazing!!
Fantastic! Thanks a lot for sharing!
merry Christmas happy new year love you mom

This looks so simple and delicious!! I’ll be making this for Christmas Eve dinner 🥘 ❤️Happy Holidays Natasha
Hello 🌷
I made this today and my son enjoyed it so much. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
My pleasure 😊
Thank you Natasha for this recipe. My two youngest kids came from Amsterdam for Christmas and Mom is treating them with all the comfort food my Southern American mom taught me when I was in College. Your Shepherd Pie is as good as hers. My daughter can't wait for that oven to stop.
Wonderful! Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. 😊.
Both of them are my favorite, and the combination will be even better!! Can’t wait to make this one!! 💜🎄
Hello 🌷
