- Come along as I share my adventure from rookie pilot to CRP (Cruise Relief Pilot)! Starting in sunny Vero Beach, Florida, and moving through the challenges of IFR training in Germany, I've faced it all. From nerves on my first flight with TUI to discovering the massive A330 with Discover Airlines, every step shaped me.
Now, at 30, I'm embarking on a new chapter as a CRP. What does it take? I'll break it down for you: lots of flight hours, seniority, and passing rigorous assessments. But the payoff is worth it!
Join me behind the scenes of CRP training. From intense ground sessions on leadership to adrenaline-pumping simulator sessions, we're prepared for anything. Line training sharpens our skills, and the final line check seals the deal.
Join me on this journey from Frankfurt International Airport (EDDF) to Windhoek Namibia(FYWH). And learn everything there is to know about becoming a so called Cruise Relief Pilot. Besides that, i'm taking you along on the entire trip may it be the Departure out of Frankfurt, the landing in Windhoek or the layover itself. In this Video you are part of it all.
With that said!
Sit back and enjoy this one!

surprised to find out that your training was in Vero Beach Florida, just like Captain Joe; I am a Floridian, I watch all your videos and for some reason every time I see you in front of the cameras your face reminds me of the famous Erich Alfred Hartmann, I hope I don't offend anyone with my comment, in my opinion he was a Fantastic pilot, thank you for your videos, I love aviation, I wish you the best, until the next video, Thank you.

.it has been a while since you upload. we are always eagered to watch your vids. we just want you to upload frequently.
Great video! I thought of a question whilst watching, what happens if you become sick on the layover - especially if it's only hours before you are due to fly back?
Congrats you made it 🤍
You are Awesome! I fly in May with Discover to Tampa. If i see you as my Pilot, may i say Hello to you? 🎉🙋♂️

You’re a great pilot! It’s a matter of time before you get your left seat! Might as well place the order for that Bugatti now 😊
😅 that’s gonna be a while✌️
Congrats!!!🎉 And how long did it take to be promoted?
Congrats! Btw, a landing in run 25C in Frankfurt is really rare...
Hi i wanna be a pilot because of you , you inspired me
That means a lot 🙌
Hello, congratulations on your promotion and at the same time I have a small request, I flew with you (your airline) from Cancun to Frankfurt, maybe you could make a film about this destination, maybe there is something characteristic in it and about navigation on such a long night (return to Europe) )route.
Hi Pascal, congrats on your promotion. I have a question: Do Discover have mixed fleet for pilots? Because i know that Edelweiss have it, because they're a smaller company. Or do you know more? Kind regards from switzerland🗻
Interesting development, what is your role now? Are you allowed to do landings? in some big airlines the CRP (or 2nd Officer) is the lowest in rank with lowest seniority.
yaay you say gonna cadet our program thx a lot
can i ask why do the call outs sometimes miss the radio altitude, like at 3:49 it missed 30
Does the A330 have a separate crew rest area or do you just have a premium seat?
Have you ever flown to Jamaica? I've seen your airline here in Montego Bay once.
Lucky you, I can’t even make it to first officer let alone dream of being anything higher…✈️💫
I have a question for you. As a pilot, you are constantly tested, checked and assessed. So you have to like/have a tolerance or liking of being monitored in a way? I am a person who profusely hates school, namely due to the fact that we are being tested all the time, which stresses me out and I do not really handle it well cause I always feel like I do not know what I need to or that the test will for some reason go bad. I don't think I will become a pilot, but do you have advice regarding tolerance of being tested and assessed generally? I could not possibly live a happy life thinking about that I will have to be constantly tested and evaluated to this degree, I know it is unavoidable in life but yeah. thanks
Congratulations for achieving such a huge mile stone.
I have a question about the type rating.
Who chooses what I fly or practice in a simulator or do I decide what I want ?
Most of the time it’s the airlines decision ✌️ depends on the aircraft’s they’re flying 🙃
@@Pascalklrthanks ❤
Would you have to land the plane if the captain became incapacitated?
How do you keep your landings current if you can’t fly below 20,000ft.
8:22 what watch are you rocking ?
For a second there i thought he said he will become a capitain😅
Not yet still a couple of years to go 🤐✌️
🎉🎉🎉
Do you get to do any landings as a CRP?
Hi! I'm thinking of cutting short university to begin pilot training; any advice for someone like me ! Studying Chemical engineering just isn't for me, but I hope there's some transferrable maths and physics skills!
Congrats. It is so nice that it is not like when I came up. I am 54 in the States and from 95 till about 2018 you had to have 5000 total time and 2500 jet PIC and a degree to be even considered to make 30k to start at a major. after 19000 hours of 135 I am not bitter at all. LOL Again congrats.
