Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't even tell how many websites I have visited to find out what maximum capacity for my laptop is but not a single article had this information. You really helped me a lot. May God bless you! 🙏🙏🙏
Perfect! Straight to the point. Thank you, my friend.
Thank you for this video!
Thank you very much for such a valuable information. Good job!

thank you very much.
Love u bro❤ From Sri Lanka
Great video!! Thanks for the assistance !!!
thank you very match
Thank you!
Thanks man help a lot
I was wondering how do you find the max speed supported by the motherboard, not just what speed is currently installed.
Search the model of your motherboard , and then search the specifications on google
he shows it watch the whole vid
@@emanuelfrytsantos1302 I probably missed it or something, the only thing I saw was the same speed he currently had over and over, the only difference was he found the max capacity but not max speed
@@alexone6357 just search your motherboard up on Google and see it’s max speed
@@emanuelfrytsantos1302 no , he just gets the speed of the ram installed . unless it just happens to be the same. whereas the ram he has installed is total 8gb, when run the capacity in the command it shows 16gb. so max is 16gb. but the speed he has installed is 1334, then runs a command and it again states 1334. what did i miss? i watched because my issue is i have a mobo and cpu that support 1600mhz and i have 8gb of 1600 installed. when i check the speed it says its running at 1333. so i still have no solution or explanation.
Thank you bro
Thank you so much, sir. very informative video ❤️🙂

I have 4 SODIMM slots on my laptop and it supports up to 2133 MHz. I only have 4 GB ram on my laptop currently. So can i add more 12 gigs more. Like 4x4(16 GB) quad-channel?
It would be very very helpful if the commands you have typed is listed in the comments section so viewers just copy and paste to try on their computer right away. Just tiny bit of consideration can help alot!
Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi my laptop has 4gb soldered + 4gb so-dimm and it says that it has a max memory of 8gb (written on the specs in their website). Does this mean that I can't upgrade my 4gb so-dimm to 8 or 16? But after running the max capacity in cmd i also get 16gb

Seen the full video but could not find how to figure out the max speed that my motherboard will accept. All I could find was the speed which I already have installed but in case I will replace the ram how would i know if I can get a much faster ram than before. In my case I am using (4GB+4GB)=8GB rams with the speed of 2667MHz how can i be certain if I can use 3667MHz. But could not find what I was looking for.
Thank you! But Please can you help me out. I have HP pavilion 360×14-Cd0xxx now its 12ram. I want to upgrade it but it shows 2 slots are used.
How can I check which slot have how much ram so I can buy new ram.
It shows 33max but on some websites 16 please help me out!!
Slot & Speed CMD: wmic memorychip get banklabel, devicelocator, capacity, speed
Max Capacity CMD: wmic memphysical get maxcapacity
at the very end i realize you are getting the speed of the ram installed, not the max speed of ram your motherboard will accept. unless you already had the max speed allowed as the ram you had installed. like, you had 8gb or ram, you run a command and it told you 16gb. therefore you can install 16gb instead of the 8gb you have installed. when it came to speed , the speed of your ram was 1334, in the end it was 1334. i thought this would tell me what the max speed of ram i COULD install, not what was already installed. and a question, the DDR or double data rate, since it shows you have 2 sticks @ 1334 does that mean the ram you have is 1334 or is it doubled to 2668? im having issues maybe, i have the foxconn joshua-h61 MB, an i7 3770 and 8gb of Kingston HyperX Genisis ram 1600. in task manager it says the ram is running at 1333. the cpu, mobo says it supports 1600. what am i missing? the motherboard doesnt have really any options such as xmp profile in the bios. so....... anyone have any idea of why it is not stating 1600mhz in task manager?
Have you found out a way to find max supported RAM speed?
is that speed max value or the speed of the ram you have?
while this shows the current ram installed and the frequency, it will be the freq set by your bios settings. How can I find out the maximum frequency Ram I could install (as an upgrade) for my pc?
thanks FHT, really helped. is that total or just for one slot? im no an amateur on pc but a virgin, just so you know
Don't be nervous bruh
I want to upgrade the ram of my Laptop for Study reasons, but I have a Question my laptop ram Capacity is 8GB and 1600Mhz but right now the installed Ram to my Laptop is 4GB and 1066Mhz so my Question is It its okay to remove the 4GB Ram of my Laptop and directly replace it with 8GB ram with 1600Mhz?
This command is not always accurate. I have 16gb installed in an older system already running fine, Memtest clears multiple passes but it is saying it is limited to 8gb. I tried a command in Linux with the same result and found a post online that says it is only reading from a table in the BIOS, and all it means is the manufacturer has not deemed it to be final. (I did update the BIOS also since I installed a server CPU, not on the list also fine) Since DDR3 is so inexpensive at the time of this writing and I also know another system will handle it I decided to just try and it worked.
How you find if your motherboard can support Gen 4 SSD? Those ones with 5000 or 7000mb/s.
You should post the command lines in the description so that everyone can copy and use easier
wmic memorychip get banklabel, devicelocator, capacity, speed
wmic memphysical get maxcapacity
Perfect English
How about the maxspeed/mhz of the ram that can be supported by my laptop?
Up for this! 🥺

I just reinstalled fresh window 10 latest 2021 edition and I discovered that i was not able to install windows 10 until i removed my 8 gb ddr4 ram from my laptop. Now my laptop is running fine without 8 gb of ram and its quiet smooth now without any hesitation. I want to check which RAM is compatible for my laptop.
Firstly check your laptop brand and model number. And search in google for your laptop specification.
hi can you help me, im so confusing when i use cmd the size is showing 12582912 which 12gb max capacity, but it's also diffrent when i use crucial.in website, it's showing 16gb up to 20gb, btw my machine is lenovo ideapad s145 14iwl, plz reply
Then look into specification of your machine in their offcial website
Hi! I have a NOTEBOOK DELL INSPIRON 15 3593, 15.6" FHD, INTEL CORE I7-1065G7 1.3GHZ.
In the dell support they say I can upgrade up to 16Gb in total.
In the cmd it says 32gb
In Crucial website say 32gb
Who must I believe?
Ur laptop ofc
When I type out the command it keeps saying description - invalid query
I have laptop thinkpad x260 Yoga with 4gb ram sticked in, i want to upgrade my laptop to max ram when i check official website it saw i can up to 16gb ram, but when i check with command promt wmic memphysical i get only 4gb ram max capacity, can anyone tell me what should i do?

My ram capacity is also 16777216 i.e 16 gb so can I install 8 gb ram in slot 1?
Yes

When I used the cmd it says that I have 16gb max capacity but in the website for my brand of laptop its only 8gb max capacity? I badly need to upgrade my RAM so your help will be appreciated.
If in official website its shows maximum capacity 8 GB then it will not support more then 8 gb. One thing you can do is install SSD to improve performance
@@Trickshungerpage Thanks for the reply sir, I almost waste money
How about the maxspeed of the ram? How to find it
In my laptop it is showing maxcapacity is 0.....but slots are 2 in my laptop now what to do why it is showing 0 please explain.....
You can also check in official website of your laptop brand
Mines can support 32gb. But how to check the max speed capacity ?
did u ever findout how
It's kinda simple. Type your mobo + supported ram and from there you'll get your answer
wmic memorychip get banklabel, devicelocator, capacity, speed
Ddr1 maximum how
Can you please write a command line in the comments please
wmic memorychip get banklabel, devicelocator, capacity, speed
wmic memphysical get maxcapacity
Why does mine says that it can support 134 Gigabytes?? Is that weird
Or download cpu-z
hi it is showing 4294967296 so means 4 gb so i have 2 slots so can i add 8 gb in second slot and 4 gb in first
If its showing maximum ram capacity is 4GB then you cannot install beyond the max capacity
How can I get 8gb of ram even though I have 7.45 installed with 2 slots?
Some amount of ram is used by system hardware so it will not show 100% usable
dude is if valid the "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity" if it does it say "MaxCapacity
16777216" so my HP laptop max capacity ram is 16 Gb right ? but yesterday i ask HP Support, he said my type laptop capacity ram just 8gb. who do i trust? plss need help i want upgrade ram
You can also check in crucial.in website
@@Trickshungerpage already done that. but its say eror when scanning my laptop
Thank you and now I found out how F’ed up HP low budget computer is! Mb supported up to 2400mhz and the mofo HP installed 3200mhz on it no wonder I feel problems!
The command: wmic MEMORYCHIP get BankLabel, DeviceLocator, Capacity, Speed
Found out I only have 8gb and my motherboard supports 268gb...
I dont think so, that this is work 100 percent cause my motherboard support 1066 ddr3 ram. But then I put 1333mhz of ddr 3 ram is working just fine.
Your pc support 16 on a ram? Or total
16gig each slot
I came here to find about the MAXIMUM RAM FREQUENCY ??
my max capacity of ram showing zero what does that mean

how is it possible in a laptop.

I tried the crucial scan it shows 20gb 👍
looks like the guide is about how to know the speed of your RAM... not the motherboard all support speed of RAM..
I thought my pc supports only 16 gb but it's 64 so im buying 32 gb of ram
My one is 16gb
the speed is in mhz right????
@usef taraf ok thanks im am planing to buy another 8gb ram and im doubting because i really dont have knowledge about the compatibility, the stocked 8gb ram has a speed of 2399mhz is it compatible to higher speed of ram?
Max is 33554432
2 Slots
Online says expandable to 16gb, but from this calculation it looks like 32gb. Can someone let me know. Thx.
Btw- I have 12 Gb in there. It’s a new pc. But for some reason, there’s a 4gb Samsung and a 8gb Hynix, both 3200 mhz, (Sodimm) installed. I don’t know why they are 2 different.
Divide for 1024 twice, result is 32 GB.
if u have 2 slots it means u can use 2 16GB in each, i would say
mine is 33.5 gb max
Likewise = )
Currently sitting on 8 gigs! Will upgrade to 32 gigs next week with RGB Ram sticks 😌👌
Can't wait lol
u didnt explain how to check the speed
mine says 67108864 so whats that and is that even right?
I got the same my best guess is it’s up to 64 cause I don’t think 67 ram is possible
You explained how to know the Maximum capacity of Ram supported by your computer
But you didnt explain the MAX SPEED of RAM supported by the Motherboard. You only showed how to know the speed of the RAM installed.
QUESTION CAN I CHANGE THE LIMITS FROM 32 GIG TO 94 GB OF RAM
no wth do you need 94 gb of ram for?
