Instructions unclear, my motherboard is full of food crumbs now and my fridge has 32 GB.
😎I just overclocked my fridge, and now it’s over heating, but my foods frozeb
My toaster only has 1 ram slot but its full of bread. also, my cooler doesnt work
My toliit has 16gb vram with an 4090ti👽
it wouldve been helpful if there was a motherboard in the video and not just a game
Exactly what I was thinking lol. The game in the vid makes it VERY HARD to follow yo. In fact, if you're a 100% newbie then I doubt you'd understand anything he says there because of the misrepresentation in the video.
Ikr so fcng stupid
@SS0 Haha all good partner!
I currently have a really beefy powerful PC! So I am all set for now either way lol!
Thanks for the reply though! Much appreciated Papa! 🤙
thank you for making such a simple tutorial, im getting pc parts for a computer and wanted to know if the ram im getting is correct and it is, thank you!
Me too!
Your explanations are very clear but it seems you're aiming at a younger generation than mine (almost 80) So i would have prefer the same things but with matching shots with what you were explaining . The music / background was ok although people want to stay focused to understand well, but thank you still great :)
Thank you very much! I value the feedback and i'll take it into consideration.
@@GoodsauceTech Well after all this I managed to order 16 gb kit of four sticks and could not use it. It is ECC and apparently I needed PC... the one I got is for 'servers' I'm led to believe! And I could not find such a kit; the best was 4x2gb but I have already 2x2gb :(
I love the part where you told us WHERE to check what ram we currently have/ need. I’m new and have no idea what type of ram to get or where to check what type I need.
Thx this video was a big help to my build

Thanks
Ok but it was shown on the video too
Thank god for you
Krishan Saini it's so that people can just click it instead of manually moving it 🤣 bc some are lazy
Thanks g
What abaout Ryzen compatibility? I got a Corsair 2x8gb 3600mhz 18 cas. But it says are not 100% compatible with my 3900x. I cant get it to its cloack speed as advertised, my bios reset it to 2100mhz
I ordered that same ram for my 3700x before noticing the compatibility wasn't amd x570 certified :( Did you get it working?
Yes, it works, but at 3200 mhz cas 18. I need to try more tweaks to get it proper working because every time i try to move and tweak it fron the bios, it resets to fabric presets after i save and exit from it. I get it work thanks to amd ryzen master. But i am concerned about going higher from there because i read some people needeng to flaahback after that because by some reason it overwrites its bios default settings and thus, imposible to get a working post and the solution was flashingback. Imagine someone qith an x570 without qflashback?
I think you could get it higher if you enable a different memory profile, like an XMP so to speak.
@@dewaynemason9540 wait what?
@@Bruh01234 the ram worked fine, no worries :)
Great explanation, and I loved the analogy and the accent!
Glad you mentioned RAM clearance, I didn't even think of that as I use a bulky air cooler
Thanks, This really helped when upgrading the motherboard in my pc!
very good and clear explanation!
*but da gameplay was thicc*
If I buy memory that isn't on my qvl motherboard list will it not run at the maximum speed?
50/50
Maybe yes and maybe no. You will be by your own luck.
you left out cpu compatibility. significant oversight. a motherboard might be compatible up to a certain speed but not a cpu
oh shit didn't know that
Yeah lol, that's the reason I went on this video aha 😂
So if I buy a processor with 2933 MHz ddr4 ram compatibility, but a motherboard with 3200 MHz ram speed compatibility, will a 3000 MHz ram stick work with my system? If so,what about a 3200 MHz ram stick?
@@eviltubby101 that's a good question, don't know.
@@jigarpatel1978 yeah, been surfing around for 2 hrs trying to get an answer
thanks for the help im trying to upgrade
I havea question.
I'm gettinga module with 2800mhz of frequency.
However, my motherboard page says: "Supports DDR4 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667(OC)/ 2933(OC)/ 3200(OC)+ MHz".
This means the speed at which they will run at wit a XMP profile?
And will I be able to post with the afformentioned module? Thanks
ik this is a year ago but for anyone watching now
if im correct, it should be able to support 2800mhz ram. The only other things that might stop it from running at that might be the cpu and the bios of your motherboard.
for the speed with XMP im not too sure but im sure you can find that online somewhere
Zurxys can I use 4 sticks of ram in a dual channel motherboard?
@@abu4559 if it has 4 ram slots, you can use 4 sticks but itll prob have to run in dual channl so you wont be getting the benefit of quad channel but still get the added ram
Zurxys ok thanks
@@foxsocks9851 what if I have 3200mhz rams and my motherboard supports 2666mhz? Can I still put 3200mhz?
Great video! Thank you!
Very good and interesting :)
this is so helpful man!!!
me clicking on the video : thinking im gonna learn how RAM work
me at the end : now i know i can put more food in the fridge than my mouth !
Thank you! It's very useful!
Hi, planning to build a pc and i have problems in compatibility, do I need to buy a certain ram on the QVL of the motherboard?
I also have this same problem. I've read that you don't really need to follow the QVL but others say that you should. I'm not really sure. May I ask what you did?
If u don't get the same qvl then u have a chance that your ram won't operate at the rated speed
@@FLASH24x or at all
Zero help from this video.
Came here trying to find out if ram types are unique to amd versus intel builds. If not, why not mention it. I keep seeing a sort option on various websites but it’s inconsistent. So I’m just not sure if it matters.
You forgot something that no one looks into, the ram speed compatibility with your CPU, if you place ram speed above what CPU is capable of, than it will automatically down clock, even if the motherboard supports it!
forgot about the motherboard only supporting certain speeds of ram. not all motherboards support all speeds, example its rare to find a motherboard that supports 3600 mhz out of the box, not even the x570 elite i bought supports it.
Thx Very Great explanation, You really made me understand.
Really professional video!
Thanks a lot!
thanks for the info. Shit just looked at your specs, the internet dang it must be great living in the future.
Instructions unclear, my ram became food.
Breakfast of champions
I really enjoy all the info on your video . U r on point and just right on detail to the subject. However, with out actually looking at what ur talking about I'm not to sure what's what??
What the mean of ddr3 *L* memory?
L stands for low voltage. Its not for Mac only. Its Just running on lower voltage
ddr3 runs at 1.5 volts
ddr3l runs at 1.35 volts
just found out today, correct me if im wrong xD
Check both Motherboard Mfr. and Memory Mfr. QVL -Qualified Vendors List per MoBO. Most people building a Gaming PC will only need 16GB (2X8) DDR4. Speed = $$$
I have intel caleron g5900 and aorus z590 pro ax, i tried to boot up my rig with kingston fury beast 8gb ram memory but the dram led on my motherboard always glow and does not want to turn off and i cant acces the bios.
Now i dont know if the ram isnt compatible with my procesor or the motherboard.
if some one knows the problem plz write in the comment
Please help.
My motherboard refuses to accept what is basically the same kind of ram to it, I have a msi z97 and I had it with 4x4 16gb ram but then that had an issue so I decided to use the exact same brand and kind of ram (corsair vengeance DDR3) but it was 2x8 16gb and it didn't work, why?
Lawl I looked down from just listening and saw volt.... epic seeing a fellow tenno
Is it possible if i get an 16GB 3200 MHZ ram it wont be compatible with my Prime B250 plus motherboard (i want to switch from 2133 mhz 8gb i tried xmp but i wont load more cause of ram)
Please tell does xmp matter while some cases cpu max ram frequency support is 2666mhz
Please tell me....if yes then why cpu specs shows the max ram frequency...
Please reply
So I have 2x4 8gb ram ddr3 and it says that it has 1200mhz so I want to upgrade ram and to 16gb 2x8 so those 8gb rams must be 1200mhz?
🤣🤣🤣 this guy was probably hungry wen he made this video
People don't really understand how much you help bro
Keep it up
if i have 8 GB DDR4 (2400 MHz) corsair ram already but im gonna get Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 will that all be fine?
If you want to REPLACE the ram you already have with that new one, then yes. If you want to keep the ones you already have and add the new ones next to them, then no. All RAM modules should have the same capacities, frequencies, delays, etc.
@@GoodsauceTech sweet thats all good as im replacing it
hahaha very nice video, but your synonyms for ram vs hdd was very nice and i think a lot of beginners will like that explanation
Haha, great to hear that, thanks!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR CLEAR EXPLANATION
So fucking annoyed, Corsair released a version of their CMK series to be compatible with fucking nothing, FUCK hynix it keeps bluescreening on me
Just realized that I was trying to use 3200 mhz intel compatible ram on a 2600 mhz max ryzen motherboard. Silly me
best analogy.
I have a motherboard which is dual channel 64gb with 4 dimm slots.. so can I buy 4number of 16gb memory, will it be ok???
Yep, if you have 4 slots and a capacity of 64GB, then getting 4 sticks of 16GB each will work
where or what website do you check your motherboard which stated it support 64gb?
@@loyscgodlike msi.com/support

"SO-DIMM sticks which looks like this?" Man have you been drinking again? All we see is a an animation/game being played. Anyway I have a question for you. I have four slots in my desktop that can handle 4 gigabytes in each slot (or 16 gigabytes in total) I believe. If I already had two of these slots filled with sticks of 2 gigabytes of ram each already but they could only run at 1333 megahertz. Would it be preferable to use them with two more new sticks of 4GB of RAM each that can run at 1600MHz or should I just take the first two sticks out altogether and only use the two new 4GB sticks bc they' won't be limited to running at the slower 1333MHz?
Constructive criticism : You should have shown a motherboard and ram instead of this game.
Agreed, but I idn't have access to any at the time, but I've gotten some RAM and a GPU as props in the meantime.
@@GoodsauceTech Otherwise the info was very helpful.

bro can you stop talking about fucking food and just explain it like a normal person?
I've been eating straight out of the fridge for years. Saves on washing dishes too!
Hi i have a question. What happen if you combine 6000mhz ram with a processor that only support 5200mhz?
Hey so i have an dell vostro 3558 laptop it has 4gb ram ddr 3 1xr8 1333-1600mhz support and so i ordered a 1xr8 ram but 2xr8 came so does 2xr8 supports my pc?
Can cpu limit my ram speeds i was going to buy the i3 10105f but it says under memory type ddr4 2666mhz on the specs page for that cpu on intels website
I was going to get 3600 speed ram but my cpu ryzen 5 5600x says it only does 3200 but I’ve seen people using more than that is it okay
So I’d just stick to the exact same brand and model cause I made sure they were both ddr4 and 3200hrx but still incompatible
I have a B360M bazooka mother board , So as long as I buy ddr4 ram no matter what brand it is it will fit this motherboard ?
He forgot/left out ram speed, which although not as big of a problem, can still confuse people as to why some sticks are pricier than others.
i think something to add is the number of pins? i just fucked myself with a 240 when i needed 288.
Can we use single rank ram (1Rx8) with dual rank (2Rx8)?
does it matter if the latency isn’t the same but everything else is? when using 2 different ram sticks
So if my motherboard supports DDR3 ram can i just buy any ddr3 ram and it will fit?

AMD A6-5400 SERIES CAN MY PC COMPATIBLE IN 8GB 1866 MHZ RAM?
Does something happen if i have one 8gb ram and i put another 16gb?
Wilson Jason Lewis Anthony Martinez Donald
can you change your ram to a 3000mhz to 3200mhz? i need help'
You forgot and didnt mention specifing the number of pins the memory is required to fit the motherboard!
What?
So DDR4 RAM can go into a motherboard made for DDR3?
No, it doesn't fit. The necessary condition for ram and mobo compatibility is that they have the same DDR type.
wow i have never seen ram explanted that way👍
what about cpu compatibility, I keep seeing in ram descriptions "oh made for the nth generation blablabla" is that important?
Have the same question, trying to find answer
Short answer, yes.
can im put 2400mhz ram in motherboard who can run 2133mhz
is ram compatible with a motherboard that says its compatible with ddr4
There is a critical missing piece of info. A harder one to spot. Not all frequency is accepted on a Mobo just cause it's ddr3, a pc12800 may not be able to swap with a ddr3 16000
Just download 128gb ddr6 24000mhz cl1
a list would have been nice
Noted for future videos, thanks for the feedback

I just found my old computer and i saw that there is still an 2gb ram in there and i want know if i can use it still
I have a asus tuf h310 can i put a corsair 3200mhz ?
I have a trident z neo 64gb ram 3600 cl-18 it says on packaging it says amd ryzen I have 11th Gen i7 now my motherboard says it takes up to 4000 64gb will this work?
Msi Z370-A motherboard
thank you so much ❤️🌹
That's not very cache memory of you
Nice tutorial but your food analogy is awful.
Where does the motherboard specify what kind of ram is supports??
Does anyone here uses a Neo Basic Laptop? I want to know if that model is compatible with 4gb RAM because I heard that even the model of a laptop should also be looked for to find if it is compatible or not.
A it's a warframe player Imma sub
I need to add another stick of ram but I cannot pay £200 for an identical stick, so if I match the ddr4, 2400mhz and sodimm, but not the capacity (ie 1x8GB and 1x4GB) will it still work?
So if I have 2 slots my mother board supports 16gb ram?? Am I right please answer I really need to upgrade my pc
No download another gaming laptop.
can someone tell me what the difference between branded ram and server ram is?
Usually server RAM has some features that servers need but that regular home computers either don't need or don't even support. Some examples would be ECC (Error Checking Code) for better reliability or registered memory . Don't get server memory for your PC.
bruhh you forgot cpu compatibility. Now some would wonder why is there no display on screen 😂
Well, the only must-have thing a CPU specifies is the RAM generation (so DDR3, DDR4 etc). But your motherboard has the same RAM spec as your CPU (you won't have a DDR3 motherboard with a DDR4 CPU) so if you check motherboard compatibility, you're good for the CPU as well.
Have a question here: if i have the previledge to buy a cheaper 3000mhz ram over a more expensive 2666mhz(the fastest speed of cpu support) both same size 16gb, will it work if i downclock it to 2666mhz through bios? Or will i have issues?
I wanna ask about something
My motherboard supports (MAX) 3200 MHz Ram okay sounds good
But it says on website For 11th gen CPUs it supports 3200 MHZ
But for 10th gen CPUs of intel it says that it's supports until 2933 MHz
And I have 10th gen CPU which is i3-10100F so can It run 3200 MHz ram sticks normally but at speed of 2933 or something cuz from where I wanna buy them sticks 3200 MHz Are cheaper than 2933 MHz
can you completely take out all the ram and install a different ram? (both ddr3)
This gameplay making me dizzy
can i upgrade with ddr4 3200hz if my mother board says it does 2933hz? will the new ram sticks run at 2933hz as the board is clocked or will they damege my laptop?
how do I find out what RAM my desktop has without opening it?
