Kim Richards was a fabulous little actress. If there had been no Melissa Gilbert, it's not hard to imagine that she would have been a serious contender for the part of Laura. I wonder if Landon auditioned her for it. Would have been a "different" kind of Laura.....
I loved her. I just NOW figured out that Kim on "B.H. Housewives" was this little girl I watched in Escape from Witch Mountain as a kid. I remember my parents were in another theatre watching the Godfather and they had my sister in the other one watching Witch Mountain. God Father was WAY long, so my sister and I watched it like 3 times in a row. LOL.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Being speacial needs I can relate to Olga and I have Hypotonia witch mean low muscle tone and I limp because I figured out I have one leg shorter than the other.
Kyle was in movies too but it is Kim everyone remembers. I even thought it was Kim in The Watcher in the Woods until recently. I just thought they colored her hair for the movie they looked so much alike when children. I had never heard of Kyle until the Housewives show.

awe jings - i'm a big jessie - I loved this series in my teens a long long long time ago until the news of the passing of James I in real time. I defy anyone not to have a tear in their eye/s when watching any episode and stay dry? Not a chance - not a hope in bahhooookie.

Each of us has taken a role and Little House now continues on Twitter where the series left off when NBC cancelled it in the early 80's. Now called "Twitter House". sorry but i understood Micheal cancelled the show because his young cast that he called his children had grown up and wanted to move on. and the show's lease was up on the filming location they used for the walnut grove
yeah I agree with all of you. Micheal Landon was a really great guy who saw what direction t.v. or movies were heading into and wanted to counter-balance that with heartwarming shows. I don't even watch 90% of t.v. anymore. it's all trash. I hope all parents will see the destructive forces they do and keep their kids from watching t.v. as much as possible, accept shows like LHOTP of course.
Nellie is a devil in disguise. So cruel and cold as ice. But who can blame her, with this mother? She is momys sweet little angel, and in the Olsen household, momy has the balls. Allison armgrin and Katherine McGregor did an fantastic job. They portrait two annoying charakters, wich the audience where supposed to hate with such grace and humor, that you just can't hate them. They're great actresses. I love that show. I've seen it at least 100 times, and it still gets me. Bye the way, did you know, that kyley Richard's played the little girl, which Jamie Lee Curtis friend is supposed to babysit, when she gets killed by Michael Myers, in the original Halloween? I just found out this Halloween, when I watched the rerun.

Maybe if you were older and actually remembered some of the shows from the '70s you would have more perspective--there was juuuuust as much crap then as now.
