this is the top family show of all time...It took us back to a time of innocence and integrity, where everyone in the family would pull together when times were tough...Happiness was a simple life, going fishing, swimming in the creek...if only we could go back to those "good'ol days"...

Brainwashed is the wrong term. Kids just do what they learn from their parents. If mom uses the TV as a babysitter, who wonders that little Billy boy knows nothing else. I had selfmade picturebooks when I was little... today I'm buying Playboy magazine :-)
God works in mysterious (& sometimes unsearchable) ways. By the way, this is long before the women's movement. Caroline admonishes Charles for not listening to the "womenfolk" of the family (i.e., equal rights/say), yet doesn't mind dirt floors (i.e. money not important)! Where do you find women like that??
