I watched this series over and over again on RUclips. This was part of my childhood memories watching on TV every Friday. All the members of my family loved this tv series 💕
... I recall one Laura Ingalls book in which they finally got a cow. And after milking enough to fill one cup... they all watched as Baby Carrie drank it all up. They gave it to her as she probably needed it the most. Same with Christmas gifts. When times were tight, the youngest got the most spoiling. It's not "ok" but I understand jealousy from anxiety is just normal to a degree. Every kid needs reassurance that they still matter as much. :-)
Rip peace baby Charles ingles may U rip.with hails Haylee it's never the same.espesially a baby I wish my daughter.was.bere but.i know she's resting.amd.peaceful.she was under a gram.small and no hope she was tiny rip my little.darlinh girl.17 yrs have passed with out may we meet again one day .good by Haylee
Life was harsh in the very sense of the word , not all parent was able to show such effection towards their wife nor to their children, but some made it , and some how the couples, found time, to make love, without in the most quiet way, at least the Ingals did have some sort of privacy .
this TV drama was very nice 2. just like The Waltons. the 2 differences between this one and The Waltons was #1: Little House on the Prairie premiered on NBC-TV in 1974, when The Waltons premiered 2 years earlier in 1972 on CBS-TV. #2: This TV drama take's place in the 1860's or 1870's and The Waltons took place in the 1920's or 1930's.
God, no wonder Laura Ingalls never mentioned the baby in her books. I imagine it would've been very difficult, both from a writing and emotional standpoint. Just reminds you how difficult things were back then, and how far we've come in medicine.
Every family situation is so unique. In their time... a son was much needed for practical, survival purposes. The son would get to spend all the time with the father learning men's work. And in any family, the baby has to have top priority from the parents. The more kids, the more time is divvied out and the less each one gets. In the books, they never had a son. Laura was nice to her siblings. But kids grew up at young ages. The babies got the Christmas gifts, the only milk, etc.
Laura was jelose cos she thought her father'.wouls give him.a the love and affection she was a stubborn f Girl but sweet and head strong she was little survive I can't blame her he got very sick like lot of babies died more back then in those days so sad for the ingles family they lost a son a.brother.and a d Friend Charles ingles jr
@fancyfluffy the Ingalls actually did have a son in real life though. Laura just never mentioned him in the books. The son was really named Charles Ingalls Jr. and he did die as an infant, but all the stuff about Laura being jealous and running away was made up for the show, and didn't happen in real life.
@fancyfluffy And although the son is not in any of Laura's books, there is a book about Laura called "Old Town in the Green Groves" written by a different author, that was supposed to tell about the events that took place in that period of Laura's life that she left out of her books. And I remember there being a chapter about the baby.
@funloverpeeps I think she's supposed to be like 8 or 9 in the first season...she was definitely older than 5/6 (I believe Melissa was actually 10 when this episode was filmed). But I agree, she was still just a kid so I think people are being a little hard on her.
@CherryFrog321 That's right.Poor baby took the name of his father and his mother's stepfather Frederick Holbrook. In the real life he died 9 months after his birth. His death was the first from a small curse of the Ingalls family.Laura's baby boy died also a few weeks after he was born and the same happened to Laura's baby grandson(son of Laura's daughter).
@ihave90days what do u mean? in the fifth season they meet the orphan albert in winoka, and later adopt him, but other than that they don't have a true, biological son..although albert is treated like he's their son.
@aenjgeal Frederick was his middle name- his full name was Charles Frederick Ingalls, and in real life, he was called Freddy, I believe. On the show though it appears that he was just Charles.
You know when I first watched that ep. I didn't know Grace's also a volunteer midwife, and I didn't think the girls shouldn't be around during labour. All-in-all this is the saddest ep. and I felt sorry for Mrs. Ingalls, I mean someone that was...well part of you for 9 months then suddenly it dies
Carrie is happy for other baby next time a girl tell mum and dad or Mary and Laura maybe not boy is fine have a girl next time Carrie might have baby girl Carrie know
@funloverpeeps so a "non brat" would just up and steal something that's not hers because the owner didn't treat it with care" and the bee episode when she gave Mrs Olsen the bee hive?
@tmwalkerm I know they had a son, but because he didn't survive, he wasn't there for future episodes..and that's why I answered their question with Albert was their only "son" :)
@CherryFrog321 I may just be getting the wrong information but I thought the baby's name was Frederick? That's simply what I researched, I could be wrong
THank you. I also forgot to mention that she should have realised that any other dog in need of love and attention is just as important as Jack once was. I hated to hear that yelp. It just showed that she was being selfish all over again and never regrets her actions until it is nearly too late. What a shame. Did she think that being horrible to Bandit would bring Jack back from the grave. I didn't think so.
So somehow I think it's very unfair of Laura because she said she was the favorite daughter of her "Pa" and in the other episode "Fagin" she was also so stupidly jealous, just because Albert spent time with charles, somehow it makes me mad 😡
@@charlottengunza6454 Yeah, I know it's just a TV show, but there are times her character just gets on my nerves, throwing a tantrum or hissy fit whenever Pa is not playing favorites with her. Even as an adult in some episodes, she acts so stubborn and prideful that made me question if Ma and Pa were always way too soft on her when not behaving with others.
This isn't the complete episode. There are parts missing. It's not possible to fit the length of a Little House episode in only three parts. I believe others have posted the complete episodes. There are usually 5 parts.
Her mother gave her a special plate? What was the name of that episode? And I agree about her being irrational when she's grown. I just saw the episode "Divorce, Walnut Grove Style" where she keeps on overreacting believing Almanzo is having an affair, despite hearing him say that music was the only thing he and that other girl had in common.
My mom and I have been working on a garden, and I cautioned her not to use much Miracle-Grow. She thinks she's no what she's doing and blows me off. Can someone help me find the episode where Charles Ingalls uses Miracle-Grow HAHA I bet that's how he got all his food too LOL
yeh i know what u mean. she was really horrible to bandit especially when he follows her to town. she throws a stick at him. dont know if u heard but i heard a yelp!
@TheCourtney666 you're you, and laura's laura...all people act different when faced with different situations. back then, there were a lot of pressures toward having a son to carry on your name, so it was a different experience having a son over having a daughter (still same in much of the world today). so, all those pressues got to her and, having a bit of a selfish personality (although later she redeems herself by asking God to replace her with baby Charles), she was jealous of her brother.
if you tell children and dads wanted but no let know we not wanted them or not Laura s dad we not wanted but no if you tell Laura we not wanted I’m sorry but no
I saw that episode of "Fagin" and geez. In my opinion, Laura can be so selfish sometimes; thinking of herself. Have you also seen the episode "Castoffs" where her dog Jack dies? She annoys me in that episode more.
Can’t watch a single episode without crying.
Happy childhood memories.
Some of these episodes were so cruel and sad and I remember crying at this as a child. Fabulous authentic acting.
no one could cry like Micheal Landon!!
I watched this series over and over again on RUclips. This was part of my childhood memories watching on TV every Friday. All the members of my family loved this tv series 💕
so pure and lovley . this i loved all my childhood . and it always made me cry .
Awww childhood memories loved little house it’s so lovely to watch with all the family
Laura totally had a normal reaction that happens to many children when new ones are born, jealousy, that doesn't make her a brat just human.
Shavon Lowe
True.
Why am I crying everytime I see Charles happy or crying... ? It gets you deep!
Kag Tim yes
Same here 🤗
So sad to see that why all the show of the little house on the prarie had deleted..i going to miss..pls put back..this is my childhood show😭😭😭😭
I remember this episode. It was one of their best ones
More like one of the saddest.
charles reaction is so cute
Life should be like this now and we would all be happy and stress free
DID YOU WATCH THE VIDEO?????
Aw man this comment is 8 years old my bad.
I love this episode. It's also really sad at the end.

So sad..Charles was so exicited..suddenly Charles junior is gone...
This is my favorite episode!
ooo I love this episode! Thanks so much for posting! Looking forward to watching the rest!
Just the most amazing actor
I wouldn't be so jealous because I grew up without siblings, so I always wanted one or two. That's what I meant.
People back then were really happier compaired to people nowadays!
gosh we don't have decent series like this now
Rip peace baby Charles ingles may U rip.with hails Haylee it's never the same.espesially a baby I wish my daughter.was.bere but.i know she's resting.amd.peaceful.she was under a gram.small and no hope she was tiny rip my little.darlinh girl.17 yrs have passed with out may we meet again one day .good by Haylee
It's always sad when a good character dies. But the death of a baby has to be the saddest!
Aww, Laura wanted to show Pa that she was like a boy so he wouldn't hope for one.
but no
Yes they are happy childhood memories
A psalm of David.
If I had a baby brother or sister, I wouldn't be so jealous.
Good Movie.
aww... he didn't finish his lunch at the beginning :(
It did serve her right. And that kind of attitude made her keep breaking the windows Pa was trying to put up. THanks for the friend invite.

so cute baby
...when did caroline and charles ever had time to fool around i wonder o.O"
When the kids were at school and Charles came home for lunch? At night when the kids were asleep.
Siobhan Astorquiza I’m happy see your baby boy but sad

Laura actually did have a little brother; she never wrote about him because it was too painful a loss for her and her family.
Laura is lovely baby in family anymore

there was only so much people could do back then
Its strange how both Laura and her ma had boys that didnt make it=(

My Dad's mother could not carry girls. She had ten boys and three girls and only one girl lived.

Avviene quando almeno si ammala e rischia di finire sulla sedia a rotelle, mentre arriva un uragano che distrugge la loro casa.

Thats baloney. Family Ties didn't use twins. Neither did a lot of other shows that had babies.
if you post a whole episodes you can get your RUclips account taken away.
