I grew up watching this drama as a child. There was an ideal family, neighbours and the sorrows and joys of life. The Ingalls family still lives on in my hearts.
innocent family shows that treasured good christian values. Little house was the last of those type of shows. and still my favorite family tv show of all time. charles ingalls is the kind of dad i want to be to my children and the kind of dad i wish i had. He was strong, caring, loving, compassionate, brave, kind, not prejudicice or racist , hardworking, honest, and he was a christian.
It's funny how Charles says he always likes to pay cash but it also seems like he buys things on credit a lot! That's probably how farmers had to do it until the crop came in.
Damn, this is so old! I've watch it in 1990 or something like that, so it was already 20 years old, and I'm watching it once again now, so it's almost 40 years old movie! But I remember that I loved it very much :)
You have The Waltons too?? Oh joy!!!! Such amazing shows!! Will you be posting all of the LHOTP episodes? If you do, can you number them in the title so everyone can see which is which? Thanks SSOOOOO much for uploading these- you're AMAZING!
I just watched LHOTP pilot. I want to know is harvest of friends the first episode after the pilot. If so why didn't they explain how they got to walnut grove. That is the trip from their first house that they were drove away from to Walnut Grove. Thanks
me 2 I have the complete series and watch them over and over I watch them on u tube and on hallmark channel I love laura and almanzo the best Patty 33 who grew up with little house
@XxSadisticWraithxX: No, not at all! The actor playing Mr. Hanson is Carl Swenson. The Wizard of Oz - if you're talking about the 1939 movie - was played by Frank Morgan who died in 1949 (and if he'd been alive in 1974 when this episode was filmed he'd have been 84 years old).
I know your comment is ten years old, but I 100% agree. It's good business sense. Charles gets all insulted and mad, but they don't know him and they've had their experience with people running out on paying.
@majorleaguebaby my dads so a pa, built a large room onto our house by himself of course some friends stopped by to lend a hand from time to time, built a lot of the woodwork in the house cabinets, put in floors, works 5 days a week an hour drive both ways, he still works 5 days a week, hour drive there and back, is currently building a new room onto their old room so my mom can have the suite she's always wanted, all after his right leg was amputated at the hip. yeah, i def have a pa.
@fantasyknuckleheads You have touched on the very important issue of misandry in today's society. The current socio-cultural trends and values have eroded fundamental gender and family dynamics to the point of utter chaos between the sexes and within families.
@fisteberg ~ Well said, well said indeed....I wish times were like this again....Where have all the good hard working men and women gone....smdh ~ and kids who respected their parents and feared God ~ So sad this world has went and got itself up in a big hurry and nobody cares about nobody, that's when why when someone does something good its plastered all over the airwaves, while that's great and all shouldn't that be something we do everyday ~ as human beings ~ Novel idea I think ~
You´re right about some things but I´d like to say that the women and men back then also had values. Noble values and good characters. You said that men get put down by their wives...that is IF they even marry! Studying hard, getting married, working hard for your family...ppl nowadays shun religion and any other things that teaches "values" and they also think that jumping from one partner to the other is a privilege. Youngsters would rather becom rappers, models, filmstars or reality tv stars.
Karen Grassle was perfect as Caroline. So patient with the children. Kind to everyone, and submissive, not arguing with Charles. She had plenty of things to be worried about, but you seldom see her without a smile on her face or worrying Charles. I wish I could be more like her.
@stinkfootzep The ingalls were new to walnut grove and came to a town w FRIENDLY people helping them out and trying to b there friends whats wrong w that, plus charles was hurt.
I love and watch this show alot, but the part where charles built the home in the dark by latern, to make that kind of home with glass windows and cobblestone chimney with iron oven, and smooth beds etc, with no money just the wagon they came with and also the know how to do it all with show much detail for one guy in the dark, to me just went overboard, it should of been more realistic, not so perfect for what they had/owned.
@stinkfootzep: If you'd looked carefully enough you'd have seen that another user asked about it and that's why I answered. It's not about how old the movie is but about how old the actor playing the wizard of Oz would have been at the time this episode of Little House was filmed. And that's why your post doesn't make any sense anyway! You didn't understand a single THING!
@stinkfootzep You might need to look up the definition of "bum." The Ingalls were clearly willing to work in exchange for the goods they needed. See, back in those days, there was this thing called "Bartering," which was trading without exchanging money...exactly what the Ingalls were trying to do (and did do.) Please go grab a dictionary and learn a few new words... and make sure you know the definition of the words you do use.
Laura's cute and all, but when she narrates, her baby voice gets on my nerves! Annoying! Her teeth could open a can, but that's all resolved and she turns into a beautiful young lady. They grow up sooo fast!!!
These classic movies are some of the things that keep our hearts alive 💕

SPOILER - PLOT HOLE! He took the job to be able to afford a plough, but his wife was ploughing the field with a plough!
If everyone had a father like Pa, the world would be a much better place.

He was muslim. He said He pretended to be Christian ,but was muslim. So, Pa was pure muslim.

I loved Melisa's "Little House" series, which was translated in 1974.
Thanks so much! Hope you'll upload it soon!
Wow... their house looks so different brand new here! I'm used to the later seasons when the house is all weathered.
My childhood favourite series though I had no idea what the characters were talking about because I didn't speak English. 😂😂
Thank you for uploading LHOTP, xLaura81x!

Very goods film
Charles is using an electric table saw in the 1870’s.
The first electric saw was made in the 1920’s.
Table saws in the 1870’s were foot peddled.
çok severek izlerdim şimdi çıksa yine izlerim

@kdosvol284 It's a watermill. You can see it in the middle right part of the screen at 1:45
like seeing Nevi s baby Ashley

@Rowan07001484 Interesting point. There's that old expression, "Idleness is the devil's workshop" that would apply I guess.
Y me lo aprendí de memoria
What kind of motor was used back in those days to run the kind of saw at 1:46 ? Didn't seem to be located close to a river/watermill ...just curious
@allcanadiangirl15 apparently she wore braces on there, but they were on the back of her teeth because they didn't have braces back then
Could somebody plz tell me what the epi. is called wen a boy fakes being blind 2 keep his family 2gether
💗
Jag tycker mycket om illa huset på prärien väldigt snygg serie tycker jag också väldigt bra gjort också ☀️☀️🌑🌑🍤🍤🍡🍡
i actually like Mrs. Olson in this scene. And I agree with her.

It called progress !
Does anybody know when its supposed to take time?
Serasa ada di Minggu siang, saat SD.
Hanson, Olsen, Ingalls. Are they Scandinavian?
Is that an electric saw?
@map8oula Ah! You're right. Thanks. Thought maybe there was some interesting steam thingy or something...
@fantasyknuckleheads You have touched on the very important issue of misandry in today's society. The current socio-cultural trends and values have eroded fundamental gender and family dynamics to the point of utter chaos between the sexes and within families.

Well, youi obviously haven't taken much from it. I'd sue the school you got it from.
No such episode, i assure you
If Charles can work a full day and build a houSe by night,,,why can't he plow a feild at night with a hand plow?
@stinkfootzep You might need to look up the definition of "bum."

you, my friend.. need a woman :P
Amazing Charles character and Michael were polar opposites, Charles a family man, Michael drunk on set all day and a womanizer with a bad temper.
Lies!
i hate this movie
