Disney was the dream, they made it durable years ago (90/00) with dining plans etc, now it's just back to the elite and just not affordable for families. Walts version was that you paid one price and everyone/thing was included, think they have forgot that.
Sadly due to Covid Disney lost millions, now they are fleecing every one to get the money back, I remember when staying Disney gave access to the parks etc, not any more, the greed has set in.
Just got back from Orlando myself, this video dropped whilst I was away. The Bazza’s were two rows in front of me, only noticed about 3/4 of the way through the flight
Just wish the parking wasn't as expensive or they didn't charge, it's so annoying and just makes it extra expensive 😢 xxx
In your haul at the end you mentioned vegemite again. As an Australian I can tell you it is an acquired taste. If you don't take to it you can use it with honey and olive oil to cook chicken, but DON'T add salt as vegemite has huge amounts of salt. I'm sure there is a recipe for this online that will give you approximate amounts for each in the recipe. Enjoy settling back into your routine and van build.
I wish real airplane travel times could be condensed into minutes instead of hours like in your vlogs!

I hope you realize how helpful it is to see that even seasoned travelers like you two get stressed at times during travel and at the airport. When I'm experiencing it myself , I feel like I'm the only one. Travel days are my favorite Lodge Guys days to watch!

Disney is extortionate. It cost us a fortune (family of four)! Next trip will mainly be Universal for this reason. Plus, it’s too busy and having to pay for LL’s is a joke on top of the standard ticket prices.
Agree, too expensive, especially for the stress involved planning, booking and paying extra for everything on top. Should be stress free for the money families spend. We still go, but just do a day and base ourselves at Universal.
This was a great trip and I loved that you did things you hadn`t done before. It`s nice to see the lodge; won`t be long before you`re decorating for Christmas! Glad you got home safely and I hope you haven`t been affected too much by all the crazy weather you`ve been getting over there. Love from the west coast of Canada❤🍁

People never get used to parking prices so expensive. It’s part of the reason I’m not getting the new Dvc Disneyland. And they now are talking about buying 250 points. If that’s not greed I don’t know what is.
I remember the day you guys left! We ended up in MK and got a good soaking! We hope you had a great stay (we actually stayed very close to you in Emerald Island). We got the holiday blues at the moment, having returned last week. Going back in April, hopefully to Margaritaville. To us Orlando feels more like home now. It’s just so nice, clean, safe(r) than where we live in London. It’s been a hard back to life in our case.
Well delta doesn't do the same . We made it from Orlando with delay and missed our connection in Atlanta. So had to get hotel ,food and 24 hour delay and delta wouldn't give us a penny. With it being weather related. We then had to have another connection to JFK before arriving in heathrow . Not happy at all .

Hiya guys, just catching up on your vlog, A great vlog really enjoyed your vlogs in Florida, glad you got home, last year we were in harricane Ian and couldn't fly home but did get extra few days to stay and lucky in our villa, so miss Florida but looking forward to going back in 2years , thanks for sharing your trip,take care 👍
$30 for parking is ridiculous it's just easy money for them I suppose.Next year I'm hoping to drive coast to coast following a lot of the route you did and was hoping to start in Florida and a day in Epcot but due to prices will give it a miss spending the saving on other things along the way.☹️
So glad your both back safely i must admit i dont watch the florida ones very much, but watched the one tonight on travil day so glad your back now for the van build.
Oh my gosh, I was a bit sad watching you leave Orlando😢 the food on the flight looked pretty good, then to see you back at the Lodge, there was a sigh of relief, just knowing you’re both home safe n sound. Thoroughly enjoyed Disney thru your eyes again, especially with Emma & Viki😊, thanks for the wonderful holiday me lovelies❤❤
You reported in this vlog about Disney price increases, is it possible next time you go you could investigate budget stays. Not asking you to go budget, just use the free bus, perhaps show budget accommodation and meals for those visitors who want to do Disney on a limited budget. Thanks xx
Downtown Winter Garden on Plant street is wonderful, I do wish it was longer with more shops.

Price Florida 4 adults and child just for flight hotel 10.000 pounds can't pay that when's we went 1999 for two adults and two Children 1.800 big difference

The secret bar in the airport is so good. We found it searching for a smoking area 🤣 But no luck on the smoking area but we got a gin haha

Funny how I get a bit sad when you leave, but not being able to stay is what makes a vacation special.
If you go for a full day, say 12 hours, $30 is average 2.5$ per hour. Hey trying to make the parking sound cheap, it’s NOT. Loved this series.
All good things come to an end but think of the fun & memories you made😀. Totally disgusted in the prices being charged by Disney.....parking, tickets, genie pass etc, Walt Disney would be turning in his grave ☹..... this was never how he would have wanted it. We have been visiting Disney World for over 18 years now but this year was the first time we decided to skip Disney & visit other parks and attractions in Orlando. The trouble is people just keep paying it so they keep putting the price up total greed!! If people stop going for a while they will have to reduce prices or at least, not increase them! x

Great vlog series..... I am in Orlando at the moment I'm not doing any parks on this visit.. as I think it's getting too expensive....im visiting other areas in Orlando
Iv just watched your return home from Florida. You are lucky that you can leave your stuff with Barry and Maxine so you still have a day to explore. I hate travel days now as you have your luggage with you so can’t go out to the parks. Since virgin stopped doing Disney springs the last day just isn’t fun anymore.
MCO is so big that the queues to go through security mid afternoon are manic and TSA were so rude this past holiday that we have decided that we will go via Tampa, travel down the night before see the slights then fly home.
In May we had fantastic weather until the last day pm the flight was late due to weather we were 1.5hr late taking off as we had such a big thunderstorm with lightning so ground crew couldn’t go out our plane was left flying in circles, that day was so so long.
I purchased the melatonin chews tablets 5mg, took one the eve we got home. Omg the next day I didn’t suffer jet lag at all when I always struggle. I would definitely get more on next visit. They help at home when I have sleeping issues best sleeping aid Iv ever had.
When you are not using the campervan you can get a trickle charger which stops it from going flat.
I loved all the vlogs but was really scared for you both at that wildlife park. Glad ur home safe n sound.

We have absolutely loved this trips Florida vlogs, thanks for taking us along with you.
I think Disney has become incredibly greedy of late & given the current climate most family’s can’t afford it. I think when your already paying for a 14 day ticket that you should definitely be able to get parking included especially as Disney have put up the price too 30 bucks a day! So on top of a 14 day ticket that’s an extra £420 which is just nuts! Factor in the cost of return flights, car hire, renting a villa for 19 nights plus adding Universal 3 Park pass your up too about eight grand and that’s without adding any spending money or the cost of food🙈 At this rate I’ll never be getting myself over to Florida to do WDW unless we win the bloody lottery!!!!

Disney is getting way to expensive, they have a captive market and whilst people keep paying it they will keep increasing it. The merch looks hardly any different to Disney merch in Primark tbh, it’s way way over priced. It was nice to see you both do some other stuff away from Disney.
It says something about how few really long airplane trips I’ve taken that I have never been on a plane that had screens to watch. And the only overseas plane trip I’ve had was in 1974 when no planes had screens for passengers to watch. Maybe someday! I can imagine how frustrating it was to get to the airport only to find that the electronics had been knocked out and nobody could do a thing. At least you finally were able to get on the plane!
Loved your trip and vlogs, I've got a couple still to watch, just the last 2. I've got Virgin booked for next year, they fly direct from Edinburgh on certain days so it will be a 9-day holiday. Just waiting for the room rates to drop on the Disney UK site
A cheaper way to paying for drinks before your flight is to bring shooters (small bottles from the liquor store) in your backpack or carry on and drink them before your flight. Order a tonic and pour you alcohol in. FYI by law you cannot drink bought alcohol on the plane but you can drink it before you enter the plane

Disney is now poor value. Increasingly more money for the same or poorer experience. I can’t justify spending more just to ride the same rides etc again. If I’d never been or hadn’t been for a while then sure but having been in 2022 I don’t think I’ll be back in Florida until Universal finish Epic Universe and even then I might skip Disney as what are they even building? Didley squat? You can get far more for your money elsewhere in the USA or even in Europe. Hope all that go have a fantastic time but for me it’s dropping down my ‘go to’ list which is sad as I’ve loved it.

Had the same thing happen to my van. Realised my daughter had kicked the grey water heater switch on (winterised) and it drained the batteries and ruined them 😮. Ended up getting new batteries. Put a cover over the switch and a note on the exit door to remind me to check all the electrics. Fridge etc. So annoying. Hope you get it sorted okay.
We had a similar situation happen last year in Orlando when BAs systems went down across the world we where delayed by like 5 hours it was kind of a blessing in disguise because we could then claim back due to the delay and the refund was like 550 quid per person so in the end the flights for 6 people and car hire a big suburban for two weeks only cost us 1400 quid
Nick take care with your shoulder my husband is have his rotary cuff replaced in 3weeks this will be his second one take care
Regarding parking Disney might be thinking stay on site with no car and use our transport
Yes, Disney is getting too greedy. I used to work for Disney and their philosophy has wildly changed. Their new philosophy is, “If we can make just as much or more money with fewer guests we’re going to raise prices”. That is a direct quote from a hotel general manager. I overheard him say that to someone. Bob Chapek said they wanted a certain caliber of guest. Read: Rich. It really isn’t what it used to be.
If ever a teleportation device was required it’s for travel home days 😢

Hi guys we need advise next year is our first time hiring a car in Florida but we don’t know where to start & everywhere seems so expensive who do you guys use ? Xx
Watching your blogs I’m shocked by the changes at Disney. We went regularly in the 90s and early 00s. We’d buy a 7 or 10 day, all inclusive pass. Generally after 5 or 6 days we’d had enough and for $36 you could pay to red circle unspent days for life (we still have 5 of these tickets in the office drawer). We’d then head down to Naples for some much needed R&R. There was no additional charge for parking and you could could park hop (including the water parks) as much as you wanted on a single day. It could get busy, but nothing like we see on your blogs. I think Disney has become too much take and not enough give. We now spend our leisure time and money touring UK and Europe in our Hymer motorhome. I sense you may be on the cusp of rethinking your holiday choices too. Ps Hymer get around the splash back dilemma with a single piece going around the kitchen window and continuing down to join the work surface.

Ive said since they open after corvid. Disney got greedy we've not been back to florida since before corvid, its just too expensive, but we did go to paris which wasnt as expensive, but i do prefer paris disney, all they need is a epcot showcase & a soarin ride then i be happy maybe france could do a outlets then i wouldnt go back to florida just overpriced now, i dont know how families can afford it 🙈🙈🙈
The Buffalo Sauce bottle looks like Whataburger logo. Whataburger is a fast food burger restaurant based in Texas. They sell there sauces at Walmart and other supermarkets
Our flight home last December was awful turbulence nearly all the way! A lot of people were 🤮🤢Hate that journey home
