Thank you Abby. I'm preparing for a few interviews that would take me directly into management for the first time. It is nice to listen to your videos to get my head in the right space for these interviews.

First off I would like to say, thank you! I'm learning so much from your channel. Secondly, could you give me some suggestions for creditable, certification programs that aren't outrageously priced? For things like typing, Microsoft Suite, and some bookkeeping or accounting?
    Thanks,
    Teresa

Thank you for your kind words!
If you’re located in the US, I would recommend checking out your local Workforce center as they likely have affordable options OR can connect you with local resources for those sorts of training/certifications. There may even be classes offered through your local library!

Here's an idea for a video, what to do when the interviewer says something inappropriate or offensive...what to do. I just interviewed recently for an admin assistant position with a physician and his opening line was "well aren't you pretty"... I was speechless. I'm 58 and never heard this in an interview.... After the interview, I emailed the hiring manager and revoked my application.

Say thank you and use what yo mama gave you!!! Being pretty is one of your strength . I’m sure you’re intelligent as well but use what yo mama gave you!

This is a GREAT idea! Thank you! I will add this to my list of content ideas. It can be very uncomfortable when anyone, especially someone at a future employer, makes an inappropriate comment or asks you an illegal question. I think I would have done the same thing if I were in your position (revoke my application) because I wouldn't want to put up with unwanted comments like that every day at work.
Keep an eye out for a future video on this topic!

I get where you're coming from but a majority of the time it's not meant as an insult when complimenting someone innocently. My female colleagues sometimes call me Honey in an affectionate way but as a friend; nothing more. So I would say depending on how it was said and the person's age (Yes, old people like myself sometimes get caught up in our old adages) it was probably meant as an innocent compliment. But I wasn't there so who knows; sometimes it is exactly as you would think. Hope you found a more suitable position later on.
