Wow- love your content and delivery!! I’ve seen soooo many interview videos on the ‘Tube and I really appreciate the clarity and directness without yelling in-our-faces - really takes the stress out and gets your tips through!
I still fine virtual interviews uncomfortable even though I have had several of them in the last two yrs since my layoff. I have to psych myself up for them. I rather have an in-person or a phone interview any day of the week than a virtual one. I think its because I never know where to look. I don't like to be on any kind of camera period. I will listen/watch your videos. Good tips!
Good question! Being more formal is fine - adding ma’am or sir to your responses won’t hurt you! I’d recommend not just saying “yes” or “no” though - give a little more context or information. For example: “do you have experience with Microsoft word?” You could say “yes” and end it there. I’d recommend saying something more like, “yes, I have worked with Microsoft word for over 25 years and have significant experience formatting and copy editing.”
You do an excellent job of communicating what the interviewer is looking for and what we should be looking for as well while interviewing. 👍🏾

During an interview, should the interviewee say yes, ma’am no, sir, to answer questions or should they just say yes or no?
