    LOTS of comments saying "just get a pc lol it's faster" as the video has been suggested out to a much larger audience than usual. A few things: Firstly, an RTX 3060 desktop is only like 8% faster than a laptop for similar money: ruclips.net/video/S1sCLpkOkhY/видео.html Secondly, not everyone just sits at home, some people need portability, and even if the device is only used at home not everyone has space to maintain a dedicated area for a full on PC setup, or the money to have both a PC and cheaper laptop. Thirdly, why are you clicking on a video with laptops in the thumbnail if this is what you think? lol

    I cant stress how important it is to clean your laptop. Take your time to learn how to slowly open to back of it to get the dust out. Then slowly again take your time to learn how to remove/replace fans and clean them. And again slowly learn how to change your thermal paste. It's not as hard as you think you just need the right tools to unscrew a few screws here and there.

      There is a faster way but you will need two people. If the desktop PC is elevated at a highest possible distance you can go by hand, and then turn it upside down, it can boost the speed up to 75.8%.
      Next you'll want your friend to turn the monitor sideways while elevating it the same way like you did the PC, you should then see it gives you another 45% speed increase.
      And that's how you can boost your download 123.8% faster by utilizing the power of gravity. It works guaranteed.

    Optimization and tuning is key with gaming laptops. There really is so many little things you can do to improve performance like disabling steam overlay(CPU went from 95-88 degrees), making sure all the different power settings in windows are set to performance, grab a laptop cooler for better airflow, and last but not least overclock you’re GPU because now adays GPU temps are much much lower in gaming laptops.
    I no joke went from 55-65 FPS in Horizon Zero Dawn with a consistent 96 degrees on my CPU to 85-100 FPS and a max CPU temp now of like 88 degrees. Lower temps means you’re boost clocks can be maintained better from what I’ve noticed

    Short upgrade tip
    CPU: Upgrade ~ each 3 generations (like Coffee Lake -> Alder Lake)
    GPU: Upgrade ~ each 2 generations (like 1060 -> 3060).
    RAM: Anything ~3200+ MHz is fine 32GB total, your next step should be like +800 MHz (like 3200 -> 4000)
    Its a rough estimate, since in case of GPU it could be reasonable to have 1060 -> 2070S upgrade as example because of RTX and nature of how GPU live recently.

    Here's mine: don't use your gaming laptop's lid closed when connecting to an external monitor for extended periods of time (while gaming). Your battery is very likely to bulge or even explode. I have changed my battery 3 times already.

    Pro tip: when tilting your laptop for better premiere export speeds, remember to set it back straight after the first pass or the bar will get stuck at 100% for VBR 2 pass. I just encountered this issue yesterday. You would think Adobe would fix it, smh.

    Make sure to physically prevent the fans from spinning when vacuuming them. Otherwise they will spin too fast and induce a current which will damage the board.

    For mistake #3: Does being plugged into the wall mean that power does not flow through the battery? I am not sure I understand why being plugged in means your battery lives longer (also does this mean that if I am almost always plugged into the wall, then the battery doesn't degrade?)

    6:45, i know its a joke, but turning your laptop on its side does make it cooler because it is radiating heat more effectively. just dont go thinking it will get you 50% more FPS. At best maybe 5%, and this can backfire if one or more of the heatpipes are oriented in a way that means the wicking function of the copper sintering/microchannels has to work against gravity. IF you have a gaming laptop you're likely to have at least 1 heat pipe like this, on the better designed laptops that share heat pipes between CPU and GPU, you're almost guranteed that all of them will be fighting against gravity to get to at least one of the parts

    • @JarrodsTech
      @JarrodsTech  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it would help cooling for sure, but also a bit awkward unless you're lying down haha
