i don't know why people say set performance to high is gonna help. it does absolutely nothing except have your gpu at max speed at all times which is only really useful for laptops. set it to normal and balanced power plan and search gpu on win search bar insure when game is on it uses max performance this way ur cpu and gpu are running max for whatever game you play and when your game is off ur cpu and gpu can breath before u start up a game again. also any game with nvidia reflex plus boost will try to max out gpu and keep timings level. people think setting max performance in nvidia control panel helps but it literally does nothing but run max when in idle mode

No, it doesn't. The scaling is done on the GPU and uses virtually no CPU. If you're basing that statement on higher CPU utilization with scaling on, that's because of the higher framerate. Higher framerate = higher CPU usage, regardless of scaling.
thank you this worked I play Roblox, and I get 300-400 sometimes even 500-600 fps but it plumets down to 150-130 and it's kind of disappointing but after watching this video this really helped! I really appreciate and keep making this content I would really love it!

There's no better tip than going to work and buying better hardware , I put a lot of thought into increasing the performance of my old hardware and turning my pc into a heater by google trans :)
Tried this but saw no difference other than 5fps increase in frame rate. Also, when the pc started up it showed a mini screen that you could not use. So had to revert to default settings. Strange.
Turns out that having the default settings on is the best way to go. You get no real improvement anyway and most of the time you'll lose an fps on other settings. Videos like this are easy and have been regurgitated for almost 20 years. There's a reason why no one can agree on the "right" settings. People are either not satisfied seeing the default settings or really want to believe thety can get better fps. In reality, unless it's something specific that the control panel can fix, your probably better off not touching the settings and leaving them as is.
Good content. did ddu uninstall for the geforce drivers and had 0 backup for the game settings,i thought i would have 1 like always on tweeking extempore something comes on your mind and u think later. Do the game mode settings video too on windows 10 /11.Many don´t know it when new to gaming and windows 7 didn´t have it.
I will check my game now lol. i have years nvidia and never use that control pannel. was installed but always thinking. what ever my game is working good. so i wil check this now lol thanks man!
Man, after enduring a dozen Panjno videos with TMI it's nice to see a much quicker tutorial. But to be honest after following his videos I am averaging 140 to 170 FPS in Warzone with my 2070 Super. Too bad I can't get it to unlock the above 4G Encoding tweak in NVIDIA Control Panel. HWINFO says it exists on my GPU.
I'd like to add that my FPS in Warzone 2 are much lower for some reason. Yes, I tried the flawed newest Nvidia driver, which didn't improve anything. My frames went up a bit when I went back to an earlier driver, 526.86
at 2:00 screwed up my gpu clock, it keeps the gpu at high clock even when we doing nothing or idle (in my case 1530mhz), therefore making your gpu build up more heat. I prefer optimal or adaptive to lower the clock as possible (300mhz) and more cool toward the temp
Weren't they already default values for most of the settings? Please tell us only those settings which you changed their default values. Fewer settings would remain in mind more easily. Now everything looks too complicated.
no they were not... open nvidia control panel and take a look... its just an idea... maybe u should take a look. Or, maybe not since it's "complicated".
Thanks for the amazing video bro. I just have a question now i got rtx 3080 12gb, i912900K and i play warzone at 144hz which is my monitor’s refresh rate. Now no matter what i do in warzone i still stuck around 140 fps to 180fps no matter the settings are even if they at the maximum or everything low. What should i do?
That’s actually decent for a 3080. Warzone is poorly optimized for PC players in general and still is to this day so 140 to 180 is what an average 3070 ti and up would get no need to worry. But consistency should stick around 155 to 175 but can also depend on your temps and how much your utilizing your CPU n GPU
Not to forgot to mention: You overwrite every setting you can possible do ingame like Antialiasing... Leaving everything on default and changing the ingame settings makes much more sense. Some games doesn´t even gain anything from more than ~120Hz (FPS for the casuals..) There a literaly two settings that can be changed in there that makes sense... Also changing the PhysX Target makes no sense what so ever if the game is tied to a CPU PhysX implementation and you change this to your GPU you will definitly dumb your GPU with instructions that it cant handle transfer it to your CPU and tank you FPS like ~70% jsut because this simple setting... And for all that say "it works" of course it will work but you ingame Settings except the resolution will not matter at all and you will have an negative performance impact in some games..
@@stormstudios1 If you say so :D Never seen only one of this options missing and played far more than 1000 games till now.. You should learn to read better ;) Also: Do this settings and ruin you system i dont care the slightest :D

This is just sacrificing quality for performance lol!! It's like "do you want to get 100 more fps?" "Just turn the setting from ultra to low, EZ bonus 100 fps"

i don't know why people say set performance to high is gonna help. it does absolutely nothing except have your gpu at max speed at all times which is only really useful for laptops. set it to normal and balanced power plan and search gpu on win search bar insure when game is on it uses max performance this way ur cpu and gpu are running max for whatever game you play and when your game is off ur cpu and gpu can breath before u start up a game again. also any game with nvidia reflex plus boost will try to max out gpu and keep timings level. people think setting max performance in nvidia control panel helps but it literally does nothing but run max when in idle mode
You are right
I'm not a very technical person and I just followed your step.. And my frustration in playing suddenly gone. Thanks to you bro. ❤

If you have a RTX card and you're game supports DLSS, don't do this use DLSS instead.
Same goes if your game supports FSR, don't do this use FSR.
xactly, but not everyone has RTX, i guess, so might be usefull, exactly as in video 750ti is not known for DLSS otherwise good point if u had anything newer dont do what the video suggest only if its ur last option perhaps
@@everx7 I've no problem with showing how to enable the upscaling but a quick disclaimer a start explaining the other better options are out there and only if those can't be used you should then do this would have added a minute to the video. Hell he could even get potentially another 2 videos out of it by showing how to setup FSR (available to GPUs if developers have implemented the feature) and another for DLSS.
But there's no explanation that these other features exist and are better if you are able to use them and NO explanation of what it is he's actually showing you in this video either
Yeah that being a solution is a no Brainer tbh
In my IdeaPad gaming 3i image scaling is not showing instead image sharpening is showing

hey , as being a coder and computer expert i think that this setting is just best setting for gpu optimization but some setting just put load on cpu but best setting from which gpu will give its best performance
?
could you tell which setting that'll put load on cpu? i want to know so i can consider what to do about them.
Brooo you are such a miracle guy. Before i watch this video, i had 45-50 fps on ultra settings with a high-end game. After i have changed nvidia control panel settings like you did, i have now 90-110 fps with the same game. God bless you.🙌
Is there any quality drop ?
thanks a lot - this fixed my Tekken 7 graphics issues now it running smoothly at 60 - In the Mishima factory stage = )

Bro Thanks a lot 😘😘
Nice video and presentation. Very straightforward. I tried the said settings on a new laptop with updated drivers. I lack 2 options on the 3d settings. After the settings on this video, my benchmark test went from 1969 to 1974 or 42.1 to 42.2 fps. Both test ran with the same settings and no other application running in the background. It probably only works on desktop version GPUs.
Dont do benchmark, try a game directly, I did this with my laptop with RTX 3060 and increased FPS from between 40-60 60-80 or even more, lol
Thank you for making this 3 minute video... and not a whole series, like these other videos... Cheers brother

Brother you dont know how much you helped me i make earlier i had almost the same settings but later watching video of other youtuber i dont know name i think panjo or something totally decrease my performance i was very worried then i did your settings and thank you very much again i got the performance ❤️❤️
Well, yes but not to forget that enabling image scaling uses a lot more cpu than without
No, it doesn't. The scaling is done on the GPU and uses virtually no CPU. If you're basing that statement on higher CPU utilization with scaling on, that's because of the higher framerate. Higher framerate = higher CPU usage, regardless of scaling.
Certain game has funtion like "optimize game cpu usage" for reduce cpu higher for sure example fps from 140 drop some like 120 above

Tried this but saw no difference other than 5fps increase in frame rate. Also, when the pc started up it showed a mini screen that you could not use. So had to revert to default settings. Strange.
OMG this is such an underated channel i got 30 to 60 fps at first and after doing the optimization i got 120+fps no nice

Great video, straight to the point two thumbs up
Turns out that having the default settings on is the best way to go.
In reality, unless it's something specific that the control panel can fix, your probably better off not touching the settings and leaving them as is.
thx man ..this improoved my Hunt Showdown FPS by cca 30+ frames on 1080ti THX again XD
Good content. did ddu uninstall for the geforce drivers and had 0 backup for the game settings,i thought i would have 1 like always on tweeking extempore something comes on your mind and u think later.

@@gnomeraah Apparently resizable BAR is only supported by the RTX 3000 series and later.

Or, maybe not since it's "complicated".
you can just Hit "Restore" to see the difference in the setting.

Dude thats the limit for your display why the hell do you need more hear I am with my gt 610 trying to get a 60fps for my games

Not to forgot to mention: You overwrite every setting you can possible do ingame like Antialiasing...
Leaving everything on default and changing the ingame settings makes much more sense. Some games doesn´t even gain anything from more than ~120Hz (FPS for the casuals..)
There a literaly two settings that can be changed in there that makes sense...
And for all that say "it works" of course it will work but you ingame Settings except the resolution will not matter at all and you will have an negative performance impact in some games..
most comments here are either written by bots or very young people
