Bought a Mini 3 Pro with the RC controller 5 days ago, thought it was expensive, Flew it for the first time today. After seeing how it performs and the video quality I now think it was worth the money, a great device.

DJI is stepping their game up for sure. I see they are listening to the consumers. Making the screen in the controller with the mini 3 Pro was the right path to take also making it compatible with the other drones is a huge game changer.

The DJI propeller strap is the best accessory you can buy with this drone because you can LITERALLY throw it in your bag at that point without even thinking about it. Put a battery in, toss the RC, toss the Mini 3 pro, 2 seconds worth of thought process. Amazing

Thank you for showing the ISO difference. I want the best possible picture due to shooting around a forest with lots of patches of dark trees. I would save up for a Mavic 3 Classic but then the insurance and battery price goes way up.

Thanks for your feedback. Other viewers have reported of the Range problems on this video, but as you can see from our tests, we managed to go quite far. Now we’re just waiting on the Plus version of the Battery to see how much further the Mini 3 Pro can go. Are you from Victoria?

I am also waiting on my Plus Batteries, hopefully to be sent Friday, so I can see how well the Mini 3 flies for extended period. It can track from the front! But I did notice when I first got it, it did not track from front. But I have lots of videos of front tracking. It is brighter compared to the 2s but it has a bloom to the light, so that 100%. Not a Drug Scale. 2 funny and subtle
always depends what you need. I need waypoints and so there is just the R2S for me as DJI gets a bit petty with their new drones and SDK... (I mean they have waypoints in Timelapse mode, would not be a big issue to open that up to normal video mode)
Fun movie! Payload difference is only 20% (420g vs 520g) though surface area of Air2S is significantly larger. I guess wind resistence (not stability) is comparable.
bro, i adjust the brighness in my monitor, but i realize that studio footage is like C-Log with under expose, really hurt my eye try to see through the darkness. Btw great review.
in Australia there is no reductions in Drone flying restrictions under 250g. They apply to all drones.

Would love to buy One I have the Mini SE . but the Mini 3 here in Canada is $1356.00 Taxes in .Then you got to spend another $300. for the fly more kit. That is Pricey but tempting. 😁😁
Still can"t decide. Air 2S works with my original smart controller, a big thing for me. Can use my M2P and A2S with same controller. tough one.
I bought mine a few days ago, I havent been able to test the speed of trackin, I heard some people saying that it can not follow you if you go more than 30 mph. But in your video it doesnt seem to have any problem at all.
According to the specs it does tracking at 10m/s, (22mph). It does POI at 16m/s (36mph).
My mini 3 pro gains altitude if I fly forward, my mini 2 didn't do that, any way to stop that happening?

Again, I loved your presentation on this one also buddy! I am ordering this. But the big question is whether to go with the DJI-RC controller or just the DJI-N1 controller. If the RC controller could be used with other DJI drones and if transferring those videos from RC to social media was easy then that clearly would be the way to go. Let me know your comments on that. The Mini 3 Pro uses Quick Transfer, which allows your smartphone to connect directly with the drone. This is regardless of which controller you choose. The transfer speed is quick and a lot less cumbersome than using the SD Card. As for compatibility the DJI RC is currently compatible with the Mini 3. And it will be compatible with the Air2s and Mavic 3 soon, and drones that uses Occusync 3.0 Which other DJI drones do you own?

Not sure if the DJI RC will be compatible with your drones. We’ll just have to wait till we find out more details from DJI.

In your opinion, if they were both the same price, which one would you have ? I am mostly interested in image quality.
Wind resistance and flight against wind is a big difference. U can probably stay with the Mini3Pro(With lot of Shaking) in wind like the Air2s but the Air2s can flight against strong wind where the Mini3Pro will not! Plz prepare of that :)
The next generation of Mavic Air is gonna be able to have the same turning and tilting camera features as this one with a 1inch sensor
We hope that's the case. Can't wait to see what DJI decides to release next. Rumours says it's another FPV (Cinewhoop) drone called the Avata.
I just purchased a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Even though registration is not necessary, I'm also using the plus batteries and I'll register it. I'm also looking for inexpensive liability insurance, most likey with State Farm.
Love the video! I've had my mini 3 pro for about 3 months I've been getting anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes of flight. If you're holding down the throttle it will drain the battery faster maybe that's why you only got 20 minutes?

This is hands down the best value drone DJI has ever made. Nice photos nice video and soooooo small.
Downside: this drone does not like wind. It get blown around quit a bit as it is so light. Can however handle to fly against wind relatively well.
The new controller is a no brainer and is brighter than my iPhone 13 Pro that always dims after 10min flight time anyway.
I hate DJI for trying to confuse consumers with 48megapixels though. That’s just bullshit, it’s a 12 MP sensor and the 48MP images do not have more detail.

I still think Air2S is better than both mini. The mini apparently has no fan so if you aren’t constantly moving the drone then it may get overheated. For those who like drone photography, it may be an issue as we want to stay in one spot to get multiple angles

Why do people, forget the 48Mp is a stitched image, not true 48. Still take an Air 2s over a Mini 3 pro. Range and overheating also an issue in warmer countries.
Hey so my mini 3 pro is do to arrive any day now. So as a first time drone person you say I can fly anywhere without a 107. I know not by airports or certain restricted area but I travel a lot and want too take with me. Give me some insight so I know. Lot of reviews say register and get 107. I did get the TRUST certificate.
I think you just about covered it. I would recommend getting DJI care refresh, just in case anything happens, you’ll get 2 replacements for a lesser fee. As a first time flier try not to fly out too far, or in places with lots of obstacles or over water. You want your first flight to be a happy moment, so go to a nice open area, away from airports and aero dome, and have fun!

Eventually.. at the moment they are struggling to keep up with demand. With shipping time of over 1 month for the drone and delays for the fly more combo.

Nice video Jeremy but amazed you were able to have the drone travel 4500m! Seems many folks in the US are having problems with loss of signal t 600m or less. I think some of the RC controllers may be working better than others. Glad yours seems to be outstanding! Thanks for a great video!
I think you just talked me into wanting a mini 3, I just got a mini 2, I love the mini 2, but I didn’t know the 3 had that bigger camera sensor. I assume the air s2 still has tapfly like the original mavic air drone did? You didn’t mention that in your comparison. I used tap fly a lot with my mavic air. I got the mini 2 because they put occusync on it. Now you got me wanting that camera that’s going to do so well in lower light situations. Just letting you know, my wife is going to be mad at you 🤣🤣🤣
Haha. Happy to be your scapegoat anytime. But the Mini 2 is still a pretty great drone; it all depends on what you want to do. If you want to do low light shots, Mavic 3 is the best equipment out there. With the Mavic 3, your wife will be really mad. 😅
@@JeremyToh , I would love to own a mavic 3, if I tried to save the funds for it , I would get something less before patients allowed me to save enough. I’ve watched a couple of videos of demonstrations of its capabilities. I’m sticking to the sub 250 for obvious reasons. Evo has a capable small drone I might get , the original Evo was much less restrictive , I assume they still are. My Evo suffered a crash, tore camera off of gimbal. Still flies perfectly , just line of sight now. The sensors even still work, lol. Me and the mini will work until I make up my mind. It is a great little drone.

dji listens to my comments and creates drone that actually I just made up about a year ago ;D THANKS DJI for listening!.. now please go and make for a next proper drone a f1.5 glass with variable aperture 4/3 or at least 1inch sensor. with HQ mode for cropped video (4k at least) giving 24, 40 and 60mm from 20Mpix (max) sensor. This would be HUGE. just sayin ;)
I'm not buying one! Too many people complaining about bad signal and lost connection! Will wait for some updates or get a next version!
It really depends on what you mean by bad signal? More than 4-5km.. then yes. Flying in an urban area, probably. But in the countryside we got 5km with the DJI RC and the RC-N1. The RC-N1 might have did a little bit better. But that was about it. Our previous Mini 2 also did around 5km.
@@JeremyToh most people report loss of signal after 1km and some for a weak signal after 200m - 300m

I think he means that Telephoto lens take better parallx shots. Which it does.
1 month ago I purchased the Air 2S and my friend got the Mini 3. Although I liked the smaller size of the mini, the small size made it hard for my friend to keep an eye on it while flying. The photos and video are also much better on the Air 2s. The wind resistance and the ability to fly through the wind are not even close. The mini 3 struggled to fly against heavy wind. Save your money and buy the better product. The mini 3 is just ok in my opinion.
The Mini 3 is certainly making me want to sell my 570g Mavic Air 2...!
You may just want to hold on to the Mavic Air 2.. the wait time for a Mavic Mini 3 Pro is now just over a month. Or it may just give you enough time to sell your Mavic Air 2. Whatever it is, this is a tiny safe drone, that can compete with the big boys.

Well they surely have improved that newer sensor. Is that a Sony sensor? And which one? It looks great. I'm very happy with that look. It's just the way I want to see it! It's breathtaking, looking. Oh WOW! Yes! I've fallen in love!

That’s quite unfortunate for those that may have received a dodgy Mini 3. We hope @DJI will solve this for them. Feel free to skip to 07:40 to watch our Range Test, we compared the range of both Controllers. DJI-RC vs RC-N1, the standard controller. We had no such issues.

To be worth the money of you want the new generation is a solid argument but of you want better footage and grading, plus professional aerial footage, the bigger sensor speaks for it s self, only if you do not want some cheap ass videos to post on tiktok and youtube shorts.
