BG Music:
Man Bob Segers voice is so iconic, every time he's singing his voice just dominates everything. He can really put these young bucks in their place without putting them down. He commands respect while showing respect. I hope this and all generations to come learn from this man.
Couldn't have said it better.
Ditto
First off Bob still sounds great, second this song is 49 years old!
I bought this album back in high school in 1973. This is still one of my favorite Bob Seger songs.
He sounds the same as when he was in his prime, it's crazy
Same here, but I was in Jr Hi. Still have all my old vinyl.
I want to down vote you for calling attention to the fact that this song was only released a few years ago!
Rest in peace to Bob Segers amazing saxophone player ALTO REED 🎷
Wow, didn’t know he’d passed. Detroiter here, so proud of our musical heritage!
I saw Bob cigarette going tour promoting this album Turn the Page it was fantastic
I saw Bob Seger do turn the page on tour when the album first came out
@@robertslade3088 Same. saw Bob several times through the years. Last saw him about 4 years ago, and kinda knew it was probably the last time I would.
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I actually enjoyed this collaboration. Bob’s voice is still amazing.
And he essentially nails the last “there IIIIIIIIIIIII go!!” Love it!!!!
One of my favorite songs from Bob. He sounds great still.
Bob Seger still has that iconic voice!! This was so good!!❤❤
know this tune from Metallica's remake... Wonderful song. Quite prophetic 🤙
Brad & Lex, you love his bangers "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!
And “Feel Like a Number” and “Betty Lou’s Getting Out Tonight”
I have always loved bob seger. Great singer & songwriter. High school memories. 😮
This has always been my favorite song by Bob Seger, adding Jason is great
There is an unexplored story of Seger's musical genius. He knew how to make songs that "spoke" to us, then brought on a lot of unproven talent to collaborate with him to keep it going, for instance, Jackson Brown. How to hell did this kid do it?
The goose bumps hit me when Bob yells out at the end “Here I Goooooo” then smiles and pumps his fist!
Omg that was amazing! Jason rose to the occasion and I absolutely love Bob! Probably my favorite Bob Seger song!
Brad, Bob Segar's final "Turn the Page" gave me goosebumps.
This song is about life on the road, and the rigors musicians face when they're touring. It presents the other side of fame which the public doesn't see - the loneliness and aggravation. Seger wrote the song in what for him, was an unusual way. He told Music Connection: "I hardly ever wrote on the road. I was more of a field general, and there wasn't a lot of time for writing on the road back then. The only two songs that I can think of that I wrote on the road are 'Night Moves' and 'Turn The Page,' but those were basically cases of getting an outline of verses over three-hour periods. The songs weren't totally finished until I had a week or two off the road to really knuckle down on them."
Seger explained: "Our first headline shows ever in a large (twelve thousand seat) hall were the two shows at Detroit's Cobo Arena, September 4th and 5th, 1975. I remember while I was singing this how nice it was to have such good on-stage monitors. I had never heard my voice so well while performing." The version on Seger's greatest hits album was taken from these shows. >>
Seger suffers from tinnitus, which is a ringing in the ears caused by exposure to loud volumes. This explains the line, "Later in the evening when you lie awake in bed with the echo from the amplifiers ringing in your head."

This and Jackson Browne's The Load Out are Brothers from Different Mothers, about Band life.
@@toddstevens13 love The Load Out!
Check out Joel Placket - through, through and through. Hes like Canadian Tom Petty. Great Song Writer. Check it out, you will like it.
Hey guys what's up! Greetings from South florida! One of my favorite Bob Seger songs. And a Duo with one of my favorite country artists. How could you go wrong. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
This song always gives me chills.
Was a new hit in 1973 I was 12 years old then I was a 70s Spoiled Brat lol
*Mandalay Bay*
Metallica ALSO did a rendition of Bob's ,"Turn The Page" . I suggest you give that a listen. 😎👍
Please do Bob Seger..fire down below..shame on the moon
Seger's "Roll Me Away" - ruclips.net/video/TEBwq4A1wsU/видео.html
Really enjoy your perspectives on music!
Have you ever heard of Blues Traveler?
i heard turn the page first from metallica both are great versions
Bob seger is blowing my mind he sounds so good 👍
Bob is one of, (if not the best) the example of 'grit' and timing ... EVER !!!
LOVE HIM/SILVER BULLET BAND !!
Wow … I cannot believe Bob Seger is 77!!!!!!!!!! He was so huge when i was a teen in the 70’s .. so many favorite songs…and I am 62 lol😂
That saxophone coming in putting the exclamation point on those lyrics is just the greatest.
Great reaction....llove Brad's reaction: That was a goosebumper!
Brad is usually stoic during their reactions. Enjoyed seeing a smile from start to finish!
That’s Bob’s longtime sax player from his Silver Bullet Band, Alto Reed!
Have you done Bob's song.
"Katmandu"? It's his best rocker! Thanks guys!
Not much for country, especially modern stuff. Dude did a good job and Bob still has "that voice".
Really glad I watched this! Loved it! Brad is right, a goose bump moment!
I love you guys, but this might be my favorite reaction you guys have done…speaking as an authoritative Grandpa :)
Now you need to check out the Metallica version, with the official video. It takes this song in a whole new direction.
Metallica's cover is my favorite version of this song, it gives me goosebumps almost every time I hear it!
It's cool you picked up on Bob's joy. He is widely known to be a really good guy whose fame never really changed him. He even took time out of his career to help his wife raise their son. A real, midwestern rock legend!
You GOTTA react to Segers "Roll Me Away". One of his best!
I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. I was a teenager and i was driving.. I had to pull over, and I cried a bit. It's so emotional! Great duet with these two, and excellent reaction. Thanks!
First
I've never heard that version, that was cool. Thanks for sharing that one.
Back in the day when friends gathered someone would always want to listen to Seger!
Everyone had an album or 8 track of this band. Our class of '79 song... The famous final scene!
I love Bob Seger and my daughter loves Jason Aldean great combo
Bob Seger has arguably the best voice in rock ‘n’ roll
They do more songs together Hollywood Night and Against the Wind
Your excitement over this is infectious! You made some great points about both artists sharing a generosity of spirit. So nice to see. I saw Bob Seger perform this live in 1975 when he opened for KISS. I still listen to Bob, KISS not so much. :) I think that sax player may have been the original one on the famous live version, and who I saw years ago. He has a great name for a sax player: Alto Reed!
Thanks for another great one. This version of the song was new to me.
Great collaboration! And one of my favorite songs of all time 🔥
I agree. That gave me goosebumps, too! I remember the song from so long ago.
Seger has amazing pipes for a man in his 70's who's been screaming for 50yrs, damn.
These two killed it. Great Honor to a living legend.
A new term, " a Goosebumper"!
That was awesome hadn't seen that one before!
I’m not a Metallica fan but they did a awesome cover of this
Metallica's cover is my favorite version of this song, I get goosebumps almost every time I hear it!
No they just copy it " nothing original or more . Just to say that the diffence that could have made it is the voice of James Hetfield and its same !!
That’s why it’s called a cover
This song came out in the SWEET 70s1973 ..I was 12
WOW AGAIN THE ORIGINAL ( i dont know before ) IS BETTER THEN THE COVER .... Cover badly by Metallica
Another duet : Dwight Yokum and Buck Owens - Streets of Bakersfield

If you like this, react to Jason Aldean with Bryan Adam's doing Heaven. PERFECTLY DONE.
What a beautiful rendition 😍💓💖
Great Song -- from 1973 I believe---A housemate of mine in college (early 80s) played this constantly for about 3 months straight--lol---I gotta say I love Lex's smile /enthusiasm --u rock girl--btw--Metallica did a cover of this song in the late 90s ---COMPLETELY --different approach--it is awesome too
Bob Segar
Come To Poppa
Watch, Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton live preformance together.
You guys have to react to BOB SEGER’S, “If I Were A Carpenter” and “Ramblin Gamblin Man”
Great new word...goosebumper. 2023 dictionary nominee.
HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS by Bob Seger is a BANGER - Must Reaction!
Oops I mean bob
Ohmagawd…❤Bob Seger❤!!! You’re still the best!!!!
I wish I had friends like Brad!! Great job you 2. ❤❤ from Kentucky🎶🎶
couple other great songs by Bob --if you haven't heard them already; Ship of Fools, Night Moves (massive hit), Sunspot Baby, Still the Same , & No Mans Land (not as famous as some of the others I mentioned--but it a great tune---have fun :)
Brad & Lex, would love to have your reactions to this music and video: ruclips.net/video/u9Dg-g7t2l4/видео.html
Truly amazing vocals and the video is so poetic!!
Great work as always guys .. as metallica fans you should check out the metallica version of this song .. uk fan .. keep up great work .
Have you guys covered any of Bob Marley and The Wailers stuff? You've gotta check out "Is this love?". I think you'll really really like it!
"All those same old clichés, is that a woman or a man". This was about the discrimination against long haired men & boys in the late 60's-early 70's. The rednecks attacked the "hippies" constantly, until it became so commonplace that they even grew their hair long.
Bob does look pretty damn happy, you’re looking happier too Lex….glad you’re feeling better! Now take it a little easier…ok?
I don't know of you caught this, but there was a spot ( I think it was in the third verse) where Jason sang a part, then looked to Bob to let him know he wanted Bob to take over...but Bob DIDN'T take over. He stepped back from his microphone so that Jason would know that Bob wanted him to keep going. That moment showed the respect and graciousness of both men beautifully.
Have you reacted to Metallica's version of "Turn The Page"?
This is a great version.this duet really sounds great
Yes! One of favorite songs. Amazing duet. 👏 🤘❤️
This was my High Scool Class Song. 1980 was a LONG time ago.
I'm gonna say it, I LOVE Metallica's remake of this song.
Bob Seger❤
Great version hey play Joe Bonamassa Sloe Gin and Asking Around for You
The irony is hard to ignore. When Seger wrote the song, and in the times the song became famous and transitioned into classic, the people the song highlights as being bad would be those that Aldean makes a good deal of his money from. I guess it has come full circle, and in the process, short-haired cowboy hat-wearing country music-listening folks have come to accept hippies or this just highlights another example of how pop has taken over country and moved the definition of what is country further towards the commercialized mass. Pop has done it to every other genre out there, rock, punk, metal, etc...so I guess it shouldn't be so shocking that Country isn't immune to it either.
Hear the difference between the 2 singers? Bob Seger's voice is so crisp and clear and you can understand every word. Jason Aldean's voice is coming through his nose and he not even finishing his words. How the heck did he even pass for a singer? I dont get it.......
you really need to listen to Metallica's cover of this song..... just be careful what video you watch there is a very xxx rated one not for under 18s. lol.
What I liked about this reaction is I can tell that you've become fans of Bob Segar.
Nice to hear you talking good about old farts....I love you guys!
Great reaction guys! Lex your so pretty! ( got the glow) What a great version of a great song LOVE Bob Segar
Metallica covered this song and I go back and forth on which version is my favorite.
"On a long and lonely highway east of Omaha." That's where I live!🤗
Bob probably still sings better than others 20+ years younger than him.
Billy Joel and Bob Seeger will always be the two most iconic American singer/songwriters
Bob is awesome has always been my favorite. Please check out his song
Little Victories
MUST REACT to Bob Seger's "Shame on the Moon"!
One of my top favorites- LOVE this duet!!🤘🏼✨✨
nah....I wish it was just Bob
@@michaelasay8587 Believe me when I say I’m a huge Bob Seger fan- however, this was still a nice duet and HE surely appeared to enjoy it so..
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 one of my favorite songs
You go Bob I have enjoyed this and have listened to you for 50yrs 😊
Really knocked out by the young audience knowing the words and singing along.
Bob Seger did it the hard way. He'd been touring and recording for over ten years before he finally made it big.
Goosebumps when that saxophone hits. Man Bob Seger is awesome!
Bob Segar is one of my faves all times....So underrated....Had hit after hit after hit and nothing he ever did was bad....I heard one day that Bob was always trying to make another "Turn the page." hit because of the early success he had with this one...You can recognize his attempts with songs similar in theme and sound and they were all great great songs but they just never became as popular as this one...Rightly so. This was his trade mark song and didnt deserve to share it with any other./
Bob Seger has nothing to prove, he's done it all. He is enjoying himself and still killing it.
Bob self described his vocal pipes as being like iron. Never having vocal chords issues.
