RIP to Bob's late, great sax player Alto Reed who we sadly lost to colon cancer at the age of 72 on December 30th, 2020. Reed, who's birth name was Tommy Cartmell, had played with Bob Seger since 1972. Reed had also performed with many other bands throughout his career including the likes of Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, Little Feat, Otis Rush, Dave Mason, & George Thorogood to name a few.
Bob is revered in Michigan and the Midwest. He retired but recently I heard he is considering one more tour. We can only hope. Thanks for this. Loved it. ❤️

This is one of the most recognizable, sexy sax intro in any song played by Alto Reed. Bob wrote this song about the emotional and social upheaval in a musicians life on the road. Jason Aldean said this was of his favourite songs that he always wanted to cover. He later found out the true meaning of this song
as fame came his way.

The other reason was to point out that admiration for Bob crosses genres and generations, as seen in this performance. There were insufficient views regarding the 2 or 3 that you listed. Remember now, I just said some. However, I have exciting news after deep diving into some excellent sax player performances. I suppose you could peak at my upcoming requests for February, but I prefer being in the dark. I shall await your honest assessments when they come up over the next two months.

And he has a great voice. Harri I wonder if you'd be interested in listening to some more country music. This is a couple of artists that has been largely overlooked, which is a shame because they have some really popular music "Tanya Tucker - What's Your Mama's Name (Live)" and "Clint Black - Burn One Down" Both have an extensive collection of very popular songs and I think you will find them wonderful and would like to add to your playlist. Fantastic job by Bob Seger. Notice he was standing 2 feet from the mike for a lot of this song. That just shows the power his voice still has after all these years. One of the greatest ever!

Bob is 77 yrs old
Began really listening to Bob Seager & The Silver bullet Band when I was 12(1978), and I was hooked! Loved his music ever since and so many great songs too. "Nut Bush City" I think you'd dig as well. Bob still sounds just as great as he did back then....this gave me goose bumps, thank you!!

This song was & always will be Bob's. I grew up watching him perform before he became famous, here in Michigan. He used to play in outdoor venues like Sherwood Forest & Mt. Holly. Love that he is still touring. Jason is good, but Bob is a GOAT. I'll bet Jason loved singing with one of his heroes. I sure would have been thrilled to do it.

I've been to at least 30 of his concerts over my many years. I've never been disappointed. But as he ages, it hurts my heart to see him trying to be ageless. My point is, he is a icon, a rock and roll treasure, he doesn't have to bounce around on stage. He looked uncomfortable to me. He did sound great though.
One day someone will be saying the same about you. It hurts their heart to.see you age, no matter if you are a singer like Bob Sieger or just an ordinary blow joe.
