  • @Uncle19

    Is map 2 just plugs, intake and catback? No e30 or any other mods? Also do you know the gapping on the plugs? Getting this in a week or two !!

    • @mikem9047
      @mikem9047 Год назад +5

      Gap the plugs to .022/.023. Intakes, exhaust and plugs. I also have the EWG wires for added functionality and over boost prevention When I see folks asking about overboost or limp mode the common theme is they don’t do the entire system. Their intentions are to do it all, but they install each part as they get them. I did the plugs first and then built from there. I waited until I had the intakes, exhaust, VT snorkels, Mishi FMIC, and JB4 in the house before beginning the build. I’ve never over-boosted or had any fault codes. I installed the JB4 first. Then one part every couple of days to ensure there were no leaks or faults. I didn’t want to trouble shoot an entire build if something went wrong. I run up to map3. If you search RUclips you’ll find everything you need to know on how to do it all yourself and save a lot of money.

      @@Uncle19 I travel a lot for work. Over 15days per month. I spent many many hours combing the internet for recommended parts and their associated install videos. Not all install videos are created equal. But what I did find was even in some of the less informative videos there would be one tidbit of info that helped. KJ, KDM Kurt, papafall, twn2rbo we’re among the best. I did the Mishi FMIC. Their install video was top notch and made it super easy. As did the aFe intake install video. I can remove the from end in about 10-12 minutes now and reinstall in about the same time. Best of luck. Folks are shocked I did it all myself to a 1yr old vehicle. My buddy is GM at the KIA dealer and was impressed at the added fun factor over stock.

I was thinking they seem a hard install and if I’m going for 6 months services at dealer I would probably have to take the intakes off. Here in the Middle East not sure the warranty would be void with them. I was thinking k&n’s which seem easier remove. Personally I prefer the aFe look awesome.
