You can definitely "void" the warranty with a piggyback because it's very easy to read the history logs on an ECU when you take it to the dealer for some issue or even a routine check/oil change, since they give such a massive window of free maintenance (1yr) and coverage (10yrs). A lot of dealers also check this, with stingers and other sports cars, because they can easily deny years of warranty service claiming that you stepped out of bounds and caused the issue. As far as warranties go in the United States for cars. You can make changes and do mods to your car now. If there's an issue, the burden will be on the car dealership or car manufacturer to prove that that was the sole reason for the failure. Don't quote me on the spelling but it's called the Munson act that we are protected by now the dealership may say that you voided your warning all this stuff but they can all lie but that is what we are protected by. The onus is on them the prove it
And if I ever had an issue I would actually start arguing how their design was faulty and caused problems where what I did actually helped with longevity that wouldn't be hard to do on a lot of stuff again, always research legal definitions of words and then see what president was set in court cases using those definitions and you have everything you need to fight your case for you. Nothing else you would have to do and let alone the burdens He's on the manufacturer and car dealership that you're alteration caused this problem and was the main cause of the problem I would think even if they would try to research all that their cost that would go involved in researching that would be way more than just dealing with whatever they have to deal with. Because they couldn't use a one size fits all mentality they would have to prove each individual case.
If you go to this website www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52020 on the main post theres a headline “in dash map switching” which shows you all the settings you have to change in the app to enable
Hi great video new sub and bell clicked 😉 I'm very interested in buying the Stinger seen alot of videos like these can someone tell me how strong the engine is eg internals with all these mods and addons what is the peak power the engine can handle before the internals need to upgraded cheers for time .
I just got a used stinger that already had the jb4 installed....6 days later I had a check engine light ...took it to the dealer and they said it was because of the jb4 that’s causing the check engine light? Could this be true? Also can I download the app and be able to connect it to this car?
Could be, id try getting connected to the jb4 with the app to see if you can read the code. Could be a lose connection. If it is jb4 related though should be as easy as removing the jb4 and the issue should go away.
That warranty refers to the actual jb4 itself. The racechip warranty refers to the car. Meaning if any damage happens to the car bc of the race chip they will cover costs of repairs. Jb4 is not covering any repair costs lol.
So I have a question when you take it to the dealer for regular maintenance and remove the jb4, do you also remove the spark plugs. Cause I'm sure if they see the hks plugs with the smaller gap they'll know you're doing something.
To my knowledge, they can't do anything about the plugs. Unless they're the culprit that damaged the engine or something. Long as the Jb4 unit is disconnected and the codes cleared.
Like Gy said chances are spark plugs wont damage the engine as long as they were installed correctly. At worst one of them will blow and youll get misfires but that wont damage the engine permanently as long as you change then relatively quickly. Legally they cant void your warranty unless they can prove that theyre the reason the car failed. But no i don’t remove them when i go in for service, only the jb4.
The warranty thing you're kind of wrong on. Yes, you could avoid your warranty but in this country the burden is on the manufacturer or dealership to prove that whatever you did was the main cause of the issue. Don't quote me on the name and something like the Munson act which protects the consumer. Now of course they want to seem like you could void your warranty so they don't have to work on a thing now. Whether they could have you change it back to stock to do something that's a possibility. I'm not sure on the legalities of that like if there's some kind of update they have to do or some kind of change that they're doing because it was the wrong fluid they put in or whatever the issue is. Maybe that can have problems where now they need the car when it's in there stock. But it wouldn't be hard to even go against them on any of their basic claims. First off that car was built to easily handle 700 horsepower with how the engine was constructed. It was severely detuned in order to have confidence in the warranty lasting. Mine is a 10-year 125,000 bumper to bumper warranty, but again the burden would be on them to prove that you're changes specifically cause the issue now. If you don't know this act or know your rights than your screwed because you'll just take whatever they say but look it up now. This goes for America only. I don't know about Canada Australia anywhere else stingers are sold but in America we have that protection. There's actually a controller for the suspension made by the people who made disuspension for the car. I already know somebody answers. I asked the dealership. I just want to see what they understand and where they are. It helps me determine who I want working on my car. Because if they don't know certain information or they're lying, they're definitely not touching my car. Do you know of anyone that had to warranty ever voided? I don't know a single person personally . So again, do your own research. Don't just take my word for it. I am right. I know what I don't know. Now any mods you do you would always want to be able to have it go back to 100% stock so don't pierce wires always have the ability to go back to 100% stock. Cuz then you're actually altering things with most things that you do. You can say you're altering, but you're actually using what the computers capable of doing the car is capable of this. They have to detune for miles per gallon in most cases. And then you could easily use manufacturers that have special editions of cars that have more power. Well how they get that power so there's precedent set. Always look up legal definitions of words. Don't think you know what a word means. Look up what the definition is legally and then president set if there's any precedent. Like I had an issue with a car. They called on fire and they kept saying if it's due to electrical or mechanical breakdown it's not covered. Well that can mean something to you, but the legal definition of that basically says you would normally know about the issue and not do anything to stop it and continue to use the vehicle till catastrophic failure where they did not my claim originally. But once I found all that information out guess what. They reopen and gave me 33% more than the car was worth because I dared into the time again. When I'm going to the regulators next I should please deny me. I dare you. They didn't because they knew just go on RUclips and see people that took their cars to get service done and didn't take any of their mods out. No issues
Keep doing these Great videos . For those who believe the information is wrong, please be specific. You can always make your own videos but to just say it's not accurate without being specific is just ignorant.

If i go with the jb4, do i need to do any other mods besides the spark plugs? Only mods i have now are intakes and midpipe
Oil catch can would be helpful. But yes Jb4/spark plugs is definitely needed. Should be good to go.
Correct. Intakes and exhaust will give you some extra power but definitely arent needed for the jb4.

@@JulianWithAnX Preciate it
@@JulianWithAnX id really like to see a GT2 awd vs RWD of the same year with the same mods. Track & drag tests.... Also. If anyone every develops CF rear seat delete, I’d totally do it.
Thanks very informative video! How much power can you safely push on stock engine?
Id probably say 500whp and about 600tq would probably the max id want to push it if i was going for any kind of longevity. Some guys have been launching this thing regularly with numbers close to those and havent blown anything yet.
@@JulianWithAnX cool thanks 👍🏾
Wait. Tell us more about the jb4 wiper blade thing😳
I have a 2022 kia stinger gt line it’s the 2.5 liter would you recommend getting a jb4 or Lap 3 tune I just need a bit more power nothing to crazy my base horsepower is 300 and would you add a cold intake to the car also
As far as warranties go in the United States for cars. The onus is on them the prove it
The fastest Stinger right now will do 3.00s flat 0-60 (2.85 w/ 1ft rollout) and
Agreed. JB4 is best for people who buy the genesis in canada. (We get free service etc for 5 years)
The Lozic car you speak of blew up in a month or so.
@@Marshmellow_Old_Fashioned Shit, where did you see that? Williamsj41 was his handle on the stingerforums
@@Nickersont88 it was brought up on instagram live. You can ask the owner. The head gasket blew and overheated at the track running 10.9
What's your thoughts on VR Tunes? Looking at possibly trading in my truck for something different
With cold air Intake still under warranty?

You didn't try out the racechip gts
How do you switch the map from the wiper speed? I have been trying to figure that out?
If you go to this website www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52020 on the main post theres a headline “in dash map switching” which shows you all the settings you have to change in the app to enable
@@JulianWithAnX Thanks got it figured out
Can you use them spark plugs on 2015 cadenza
Hi great video new sub and bell clicked 😉 I'm very interested in buying the Stinger seen alot of videos like these can someone tell me how strong the engine is eg internals with all these mods and addons what is the peak power the engine can handle before the internals need to upgraded cheers for time .
You can’t drive your car if you send the ecu in ?
Thank you swag
I just got a used stinger that already had the jb4 installed....6 days later I had a check engine light ...took it to the dealer and they said it was because of the jb4 that’s causing the check engine light? Could this be true? Also can I download the app and be able to connect it to this car?
Could be, id try getting connected to the jb4 with the app to see if you can read the code. Could be a lose connection. If it is jb4 related though should be as easy as removing the jb4 and the issue should go away.
But on jb4 page it says it has 5yr warranty too🤨
That warranty refers to the actual jb4 itself. The racechip warranty refers to the car. Meaning if any damage happens to the car bc of the race chip they will cover costs of repairs. Jb4 is not covering any repair costs lol.
If I run the JB4, do I have to remove it for a simple oil change at the dealership?
Do your own
Anyone tell me what app is being used here?
It’s on the jb4 website
PLS HELP !!! How can I make mine go faster than 134mph!??
Ecu tune is the best way as far as i know
Gotta buy the tune from torque motor sports increase limits from 135 to 170
The warranty thing you're kind of wrong on. No issues
Wouldn't it be awesome if Kia made a limited edition of a V8 model 🤔
