Thanks Aly, this series is great! ANYONE CAN WEAR WHATEVER THEY WANT! This technology is for those who is not satisfied when shopping and is trying to find their own lines in outfit. This technology is NOT MINE - it was made by a famous NewYork stylist David Kibbe back in the 80s in his book Metamorphosis, and he's continuing it now. I try to follow each word he says in this book cause this is what changed my fashion life )))
I agree, but you shouldn't have to explain yourself to the whiners who don't want to be told what to wear. This system just helps people to learn how to accentuate their best features and avoid styles that don't do their bodies justice. You do an excellent job of detailing and explaining this system! I am a new subscriber, and I look forward to every one of your videos, particularly the ones on the Kibbe system!! Keep up the good work!
@@maatsfeather4864 I needed this because my body is a romantic type and I used to wear crop tops and it made me look so unshapely and ugly. After watching this series, I've gained so much more confidence in my own body. It helped me a lot
Thank you for sharing this information. I have a sweater that I have hated for years, but I held onto it because it is so difficult to find a nice, warm sweater for a romantic body type. Now I know what to look for to replace it. This information is invaluable to me.
This series has been very helpful, however, once I have identified my body type it feels kind of boring to sit through explanations for other body types, and since mine is toward the end, I tend to loose focus by the time it gets there, and yes, I do fast forward through. It would be really helpful if you did in depth videos for each body type where you explain one body type only so people can go straight to theirs
just discovered your channel yesterday and i must say you have taught me more in one day about flattering makeup than i've ever learned from any beauty gurus. Thank you for making these videos! :)
Aly Art Merry Christmas Aly! I love your videos and your voice (singing and talking). Love that you said Merry Christmas! If anyone said Happy Hanukkah to me, I will answer back with: "Thank you and happy Hanukkah to you too!" All is well! I say Merry Christmas because Christmas is a tradition in my family. 🎄
Dear Aly, I bought Kibbe's Metamorphosis for Christmas and am absolutely loving it! Thank you for introducing me to his concept. The book is a great addition to the videos you are posting. Xo, Gabrielle
I think these helped me figure out my body type more than the meat of the body type videos! Seeing these make me think back on what actually flatters my body and it always hits Theatrical Romantic/Romantic
Alyona, I'm impressed. Somehow I hadn't noticed before you had another chanel, but when I did I thought you're an absolutely talented person both in make up and singing. I love how you're not only concentrated on beauty and make up like a lot of female youtubers, but also have some very own passion. Also, I've always liked slavic women (I'm Polish heh), so it's just somehow so nice to know you're Russian... You singing in Russian makes my heart melt. :-)
dead inside me!! But I’m an overweight romantic so I don’t want to wear anything too fluffy, or I look like a Teddy Bear!! Also white looks good on me, but when I wear it by itself-I feel like the marshmallow that ate New York!!
Yesterday went shopping for a sweater and for the first time in my life I knew exactly what to do. I'm closest to Soft Classic and Theatrical Romantic, so cropped slim sweater with simple cable knit worked the best. Thank you so much, Aly!
Amanda Johansson same here! I always wear long oversized or ribbed sweaters and I think i do look good in them. Can't refer the same to those short sweaters though...
John Smith in my opinion I look cute in them too, but also very childish... I've always loved wearing them because I thought all those girls on Instagram looked so stylish yet effortless but because of my young looking face I look like a toddler lol
I am also a romantic and love how oversize fluffy sweaters feel and look on the rack/other women but sadly it's very rare to find some I feel I look good in...sigh...if I do it's usually one with a delicate or very low neckline
yikes I'm gamine but only have thick oversized sweaters, I thought I'd make me look cuter and smaller, but now I think of it I just look like a short potato.
Same, I always thought that I look so cute in oversized sweaters but it makes sense that if you have small boobs and Wear loose stuff it won't be flattering😆
Aly, thank you so much for the work you're putting into these videos! Your explanations are clear, structured and easy to follow and the HUGE amount of picture is extremely helpful. I always had trouble finding the right clothes but good sweaters were the hardest. It's all about to change now. THANK YOU.
I love videos like this where you "zoom in" on one clothing category and give advise on this for the different bodytypes. If you feel like making more, I'd personally love to see the same with for instance swimsuit and beachwear
Thank you. Please do one for bags too (and please include all sized bags for each type since needs vary regardless of body type). Your videos are very insightful. Cheers.
This series has been amazing. I was excited about it since the very beginning because I've always had trouble understanding what fitted me right. I still find it difficult, but ended up learning some things by myself. Getting into adulthood I wanted to up my way of dressing. However, I still find it difficult to know which body type I have. I think that I'm very biased about what I look like (even using pictures). Does anyone know who could help me, someone trustworthy that could help me figure out what is good for me and has the time to put into it. Aly, I don't think it'd be fitting to ask directly you, since you have your own tasks along the day and this could bring hundreds of people making the same request (I've already seen it in the comments). However, do you know of any one whom could help me, and could you give me any other advice? Thank you! P.S. - Your videos are amazing and I find you absolutely fascinating. Have a good day!
Your videos are a piece of art! Can you make a video about "how to choose the right foundation shade" all the RUclips videos are useless and also about the perfect lighting for doing makeup? Thank you
This video is so spot on! I'm Natural and tight fitted sweaters make my shoulders look wide and broad. Short sweaters/cardigans also look weird as my torso isn't short. Also delicate lace and whatnot is too feminine for me. Good job, you're amazing at what you do!
Hi aly. I really like your channel and appreciate your true artistic eye. These videos would be more helpful to me if you said a little about why you recommend certain things and discourage others. If you shared what you see: what these clothes do to the lines of the body, how different shapes move on different frames, etc. thanks so much and looking forward to more!
Merry Christmas!!! I was hoping there would be a jumper one for body types. I live in a cold country and flowy thin lightweight clothing isn't always a good idea haha
Very interesting. I never gave much thought to sweaters but it sure makes sense. Living in Canada we all wear a lot of sweaters. As a Romantic I still like turtlenecks. For warmth but also my neck has lines on it which I feel better covering. Thanks for a great topic.
I believe I am a theatrical romantic, and might I add as usual you're a true artist. I'm am a huge fan of body language and body types. I've never seen fashion described to this detail taking into account actual human proportions.
Thank you Ally for all the videos about Kibbe types! Recently I've bought I coat having in mind my type. I was used to wear more baggy clothes now I'm more confident to express my feminine side. (I'm Soft Classical)
I am loving this series! I think I am somewhere between Theatrical Romantic and Romantic. It is so strange, a lot of the things you have said to avoid, I have been avoiding for years because they just do not suit me- stripes, for example. However, I think I might need to indulge in a few more ornate, delicate and intricate pieces, which will be a new and interesting experience. I wonder if this series will also explore makeup and hairstyles suited to the differing body types. Merry Christmas from Australia :)
Hi, Aly! I really enjoy your videos, especially this series of body types. It would be awesome if you could make a video focused on dresses. Thank you so much
can you please do a video on facial assymetry and how to correct it with make-up? ever since i found out my face is kind of assymetrical i've been feeling very insecure about it
SN here. I love cashmere and wool blend sweaters, cut long. Cowl necks, low cut, v neck or wide/off the shoulders .Turtlenecks make me look like a head. Just head.
Hmm...Now I'm starting to wonder if I'm yet another body type, or if I simply am completely dumb when it comes to assessing what I look like..... 3 of these advices seems to work for me. (Soft Dramatic, Flamboyant Natural and Dramatic Classic)
roxemary Thank you :) I can probably rule that out, then. The profile picture is old though, from my teenaged years, but this form of body typing may not be so dependant upon current weight as the more well known pears and apples :)
Hey Aly. A suggestion. Could you please make a video where you describe what clothes are best for the 13 body types when they have gotten older and gained (lots of) weight?
This series is very cool, interesting, just get lost with my body type again- yes I did test and I have soft-natural or classic, and I look good in coats for classic- I feel the best in them- but Look great in some hourglass long sweaters, and some classic ones- but not all of them (from the movie) as the series is good for clear types as for mixed ones you still need to try several kinds of clothes to choose the best one :) although series is very good and big tomb up - your channel is so educating, practical and revealing - thank you very much Aly
I’m a FN; I had a sweater I thought was good for me: a poncho type shape with a large cable knit pattern. But it is cream with a fine gold thread in it, and it is real wool with long, soft fluffy tassels. And a big soft cowl neck. The last time I wore it I realized it is so wrong for me! I looked very masculine and plain, not my best. I gave it to my Soft Dramatic daughter. It’s perfect! The faint glimmer, the large, soft shapes! She looks so feminine, it looks just right on her. Funny. I’m still learning how to apply this system!
Aly Art Merry Christmas Aly 🎄❤😍.. Please consider the patterns/prints and fabrics in the series.. Also please over explain all the types.. I never get bored with any of your videos.. So speak away as much as you can... Love you xoxo
Aly Art Merry Christmas Aly 🎄❤😍.. Please consider the patterns/prints and fabrics in the series.. Also please over explain all the types.. I never get bored with any of your videos.. So speak away as much as you can... Love you xoxo
Great as always =) I would love to see more facts on how to dress up when a bit overweight? I believe I fit into Soft Classic, but have a few excess pounds (belly, waist, arms) that make nothing look good on me. So some advice there would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!!
I really enjoy the information in this series but this format can be hard for me to stay focused/follow along. I think it would be more interesting if the videos were separated by body type instead of clothing.
My main issue with sweaters these days, is that most of them are "drop shoulder" which just makes my upper body look broad. I like the shoulder hem ON the shoulder
Wow that's cool! If you look like a grown up woman and feminine in moving - you are TR, if you are a bit awkward like a bit like a teen girl - then - SG )
Dear Aly, I am a big follower of you. Thank you for this all videos. A lot of loves from Turkey ❤️ Didem Ps: Pls, add a video for brides, as how to choice wedding dress according to body type ☺️
I'm flamboyant natural. Please talk more about this body type. I love your videos and these 2 last ones u talk just little about flamboyant natural. Could natural type fit me also? Love from Slovakia!
More important than height is the illusion of height. If you look petite (if you have a big head in comparison to your body) you are probably a gamine.
Hey! I've been absolutely in love with your channel, especially your celebrity transformations, and I was wondering if you could do an Anna Nicole makeover? I would literally die of happiness lol
Thank you for the great information, Aly! I think you said you're Soft Gamine yourself, didn't you..? You'd automatically have tons of experience with very type, trying things out etc. If you could ever tell us even more about your own experiences, favorites for Soft Gamine - I guess it's an imbalance to the info about other types but I'd bet many other Gamine types would be so happy.
I am dramatic type, but I find that there is way more than just extreme straight lines that look good on me, am I the only one ? This is so restrictive, maybe explain why certain cuts are flattering and some are not ? Anyway great work Aly, I can see how this helps other body types, but for now I'll stick to my current style :)
patatepatate95 I think a lot of it has to do with your personality and what 'look' you are going for. we all have different features on our bodies but it also depends on what we want to accentuate. Whatever you feel works for you:)
I'm a romantic with theatrical romantic body type. I'm overweight and I don't like fussy details and I prefer solid colours to patterns. I think I am in for a challenge developing my personal style and a decent wardrobe.

I'm a classic, and this series has been EXTREMELY helpful to me. I am getting better at recognizing what will and will not work for me. Thank you!
Soft classic anyone?
I guess so... But I also find similarities with soft natural and even soft gamine.
Jovita Rutkauskaitė I find similarities with soft natural too!
Oh, now I know. My facial features are not symetrical and my nose is also quite prominent, so that makes me more a soft natural :).
Me too. I guess I'm somewhere between soft classic and soft natural.

Happy Holidays! And yay for sweaters! 👏🏻👏🏻
Great video. Happy holidays Aly!
Can you do one for dresses please? I'm dramatic classic and its very hard to find a prom dress that suits my body type.
This information was very helpful in narrowing down which body type I am.

Happy New Year, Aly! I Love your vídeos !!

So I’m either romantic or TR… where the heck do you find gorgeous sweaters like that! 🤦🏻♀️ I can’t find them. Lol
Merry Christmas Aly! Greetings from Hong Kong🎄Love your videos💕

"avoid oversize sweaters" shit, all i own is oversized sweaters.
I own everything she said not to wear for my body type and that's the only sweaters I like... goddamit, I feel you
I’m theatrical romantic and I’m actually very slim but now I understand why some styles made me look stocky and overweight.

Wow that's cool! If you look like a grown up woman and feminine in moving - you are TR, if you are a bit awkward like a bit like a teen girl - then - SG )
Why not skinny ribbed knots? What's the reason?
Dear Aly,
I am a big follower of you. Thank you for this all videos.
A lot of loves from Turkey ❤️
Didem
Ps: Pls, add a video for brides, as how to choice wedding dress according to body type ☺️
I'm flamboyant natural. Please talk more about this body type. I love your videos and these 2 last ones u talk just little about flamboyant natural. Could natural type fit me also? Love from Slovakia!
OMG i love ur channel 💓
I'm gonna need an overhaul this winter lol
your videos really are ART 👌❤
can i be a 5'3’' classic or does that alone makes me gamine ?
Dina Said as I understand it, height really isn't that important when determining your figure.
Dina Said still a classic, the height is only for reference, because saying tall, average or short is very subjective
HAIR STYLES/CUTS FOR BODY TYPES PLEASE
Im a theatrical romantic and that kind of sweater u showed at 6:30 are death to me i look so awfull in them.... you're so right
wow that's great! love x x x
You are amazing thank you so much
I'm a romantic with theatrical romantic body type. I'm overweight and I don't like fussy details and I prefer solid colours to patterns. I think I am in for a challenge developing my personal style and a decent wardrobe.
