Snagged a supposed nonfunctional matty on eBay a bit ago. Found out it was a loose wire. I mayyy have backed the two in the box too. If you do pick up the matty by the cable it can kind of hold the weight, but it can fall off the cable. For a standing still picture, ok. Anything jerking it around is what will cause it to disconnect. May have taken it to a convention or two.
Matty trap is awesome! Do you know the Easter Eggs? 1. Some sounds are on a 1 in 150 activations rotation, way rarer than the Hasbro 2. If you switch it off when you see a white spark it goes nuts 3. Hold the pedal down when switching it on (I forgot in which of the 2 modes), youll hear the activation sound twice. This is the debug mode that isn't documented 4. You don't need to use the included cable. A standard female to female audio cable will do
I have the Matty trap unfortunately I wasn’t able to back the Two in a Box, can’t wait to see you compare them

I recently picked up a Matty trap from ebay as well. Though I have never gotten it to shake the way yours did.
What RC car was the base for your RTV trap?
The one in the video was a traxxas stampede 2WD. I also have a 4x4 stampede for my next build.
@@scoleri_bros Is that what they used on screen (if it's known, or wasn't a custom scratch build), or just a "close enough" copy?

That’s awesome, didn’t know some of those.
This is a grail of mine.
Man the FE proton packs look pretty awful. The Afterlife mods were great.
The FE packs look badass.
To each his own.
