Gosh. Just amazingly beautiful. Don't know how I haven't seen your channel before but I subscribed. Love the illustry?? No idea how to spell that but it is very very nice. What do you think it smells like to you??
Love, love that yellow oncidium. As a child an aunt had one in a jackfruit tree growing in her yard. I guess birds must have put it there. It bring back great memories. I want to buy one Wade. , so please tell me if you have one for sale at the moment. Thanks.
all the oncidium flowers are beautiful. esp.your miltoniopsis var.brilliant(?) is brilliantly beautifully. wow. that is the most attractive colours I've ever seen. as well as tolumnias. thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your beautiful video Wade. You don't have to apologise all the time. You are just too nice. We understand that you have probably thousands of orchids of defferent species and genera, and we don't expect you to remember eveything :) Absolutely a wonderful collection you have there :)
I like your updates, you always have lots of beautiful blooms to show us. Can't wait for 2nd part. Love the c.catatanta sunset, i have a seedling of that and i can't wait to see its bloom.
I love mine - they truly are dancing ladies in the breeze as an example I uploaded a quick video of one of mine - and I never tire of waiting every year for them to bloom - I also have a beautiful smelling tree orchid too.
Hi Sir how were you able to recover it? I was given some cuttings from a friend who was moving. I placed them on some palms live in south Fla. Thanks so much!
Love your Oncidiums, a pleasure to watch, thank you. What a good collection you have. Are you living in the south ? Can they survive without a green house ?
Hi Wade. If wish I hade an Orchid like that, but in the same time, I don't. Because if, I probably should faint of happiness, an newer wake up again. Congratulations from Bo.
Thank you Wade I'm new to orchids and I found your videos very very helpful especially in identifying the different varieties. your close up of the leaves, spikes, and potting media info helps me a whole lot
I did a video of the greenhouse when I started my channel. I also did one of the control system which does a phenomenal job keeping the temperature comfortable for the orchids. Let me know if you can't find them.
I use MSU fertilizer for pure water. There is also a formulation for well water. Looking at all the environmental factors, although fertilizer does have value it is the least significant of all the components. The most neglected is air movement.
I use 3 parts medium bark, 1 part coarse perlite, and 1 part sphagnum moss that I cut into smaller pieces. Oncidiums like to be "evenly moist". Also remember that spending extra for good quality potting media (Orchiata bark and Besgro sphagnum moss) is worth it. Best of luck.
Hey, Wade, I was inspired by your video on oncidium and I went out and search for a nursery and purchased one. I just started to grow orchids due to an accident. Flowers brought me so much joy and peace. I don't need drugs or alcohol and with beautiful flamboyant flowers, I don't seem to have anything to pray about. What other big and flamboyant flowering orchids are there can you send me a video? Thx
Hi Renee! Welcome aboard!!! There are so many directions that you can go. It is limited only by the growing conditions that you can provide. Cattleyas are very showy. They require more light than the Oncidium alliance but have a great deal of beauty and variety. If you are interested, I sell plants and ship mail order at www.wadesorchids.com.
Hey Wade, I did a tour of your warehouse I love some of the giant flamboyant species. I would like to know if you have the giant dendrobium speciosum. You see Wade after my accident a Giant Schnauzer and my first orchid was a large cymbidium that bloomed from Nov to April. Those two kept me going and I became hooked..... "The Giant look" Can you do a video on Cymbidium and dendrobium speciosum. I would be soooo happy!!!! I also need to purchase these species
+Renee Miller a cymbidium video would be a good idea but people like to see them blooming so that means probably next year. I can't do one on Den. speciosum because I don't have one.
My oncidium might be opening its first ever blooms but I'm not able to see it right now. Even though the current flower spike is the first one, it is almost two feet tall and has about 20 buds. First comment.
I just divided one of my two plants of it. One was sold already. There was someone who I can't remember that said they wanted the other piece. I need to send a message to my people in my listing to give them a chance to claim it. If not, you are next. It is a division of the original plant. It's never been cloned.
Many of the Oncidium Alliance are fragrant. Onc. Heaven Scent and Oncda. Hula Halau are two of my favorites. Also, Phalaenopsis bellina and its hybrids are very nice. I have a Tuberalaceum kotoense that puts out very small flowers that are incredibly fragrant and long lasting (not an easy plant to grow though).
Can I purchase some of these orchids from Canada? There are virtually no orchid vendors in Toronto! Maybe I should keep a shopping list when I drop by the US next time!
Because of CITIES regulations, it costs me at least $100 in permits per order so I don't do any shipping outside of the United States. I consider this to be ridiculous as there is virtually no illegal collecting to amount to anything. If you get into the States I'll be happy to send you some plants.
A Krupka I think it’s about 15 years old. In South Florida they get to be massive because they can be kept outside all year. Compared to those mine is a baby!
How do you get this Oncidium Sphacelatum to thrive. I have a number of plants in pots growing on lava rock but have not grown now for over a year - not dying though. Don't know what to do. The ones on my trees are spiking fine without any help at all. Would love to help the potted Oncidium Spacelatum to do SOMETHING. Looks like late winter is the time I could expect something. Please help
Solveig Freeman I grow mine in fairly high light and since it’s growing in a coconut husk basket that has a lot of air exchange I water almost every day.
Coconut husk basket? I don't have that so I would love to have had your feedback on other potting medium. Not doing anything in a year is not great so I thought you are the man to contact with advise rather than what you grow your great looking plant in. Thanks anyway
I dream of having an orchid I can almost hide in - that 'start-up' orchid would take up half of my growing space!!! I will post tomorrow - you expressed an interest in my dendrobium cross : farmeri X griffithianum - well it's opened it's 1st spike. The only one I have of those shown is catatante but a very good spike. Love tolumnias - can't have enough of them!
Although fertilizer is beneficial to orchids, it cannot be a substitute for culture. The best way to get the most from your plants is to provide the correct light, good air movement and humidity, and correct watering. In short, there IS NO SECRET OR SHORTCUT!
very lovely onicidiums. mine flowered once, then refuses to bloom only keikies. at the moment I divided them, and try to rescue them. thank you for all the vids you shared.

Love your oncidium collections. I will look at your videos for some updates, I am glad I found your channel. Thanks.
Am just finding you now and glad I did. Thank you for your time.
Gosh. Just amazingly beautiful. Don't know how I haven't seen your channel before but I subscribed. Love the illustry?? No idea how to spell that but it is very very nice. What do you think it smells like to you??
Wade, you are definitely an amazing grower!!! Such beautiful plants and spikes
Love, love that yellow oncidium. As a child an aunt had one in a jackfruit tree growing in her yard. I guess birds must have put it there. It bring back great memories. I want to buy one Wade. , so please tell me if you have one for sale at the moment. Thanks.

Beautiful garden .. thanks for sharing

What a cool specimen! How old is it?
Beautiful oncidium and all the too, I like your green house and the plants are very healthy, god job and god bless you ,
I like your updates, you always have lots of beautiful blooms to show us. Can't wait for 2nd part. Love the c.catatanta sunset, i have a seedling of that and i can't wait to see its bloom.
8:08. HOLY WOW!!! Once I keep my new oncidiums alive for at least a year, I must acquire THAT one. Beautiful!
Omg, that is beautiful. I wish mine looked like that.
pro trick: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Solomon Elisha definitely, I have been using flixzone for since december myself :)
Love your Oncidiums, a pleasure to watch, thank you. What a good collection you have. Are you living in the south ? Can they survive without a green house ?
Amazing blooms.
You have beautiful orchids.
*Ooh! don't make me jealous ..i love oncidiums.good to see you have a lovely colourful collection.loved it*
Hi Wade. If wish I hade an Orchid like that, but in the same time, I don't. Because if, I probably should faint of happiness, an newer wake up again. Congratulations from Bo.
What is your favorite potting media for Oncidiums? Are clay pots good for these orchids? Thank you
HI wade, You have the best oncidium collections, some of your oncidium i never seen before only from you.
What is the one with the really cool leaves? Did he say cytosis?
This orchid memories me and my uncle, thank you great video!
Splendid! 🤗(素晴らしい!)From Japan
Thank you Wade I'm new to orchids and I found your videos very very helpful especially in identifying the different varieties. your close up of the leaves, spikes, and potting media info helps me a whole lot
Zoe Abraham I am very sorry but because of regulations it's almost impossible to ship to another country.
He's amazing this Wade.
What’s the best potting mix you use for Onciduim?
Hi Wade! I am so in love with your greenhouse! Could you do a video of your set up?
I did a video of the greenhouse when I started my channel. I also did one of the control system which does a phenomenal job keeping the temperature comfortable for the orchids. Let me know if you can't find them.
+Wade's Orchids I'll find them. Thank you! 😆
Hi....Beautiful!! What's the medium for those orchids? I know they can be attached to trees?
Minerva Rivera I use medium bark, coarse perlite, and sphagnum moss.
Hola , Feliz 2019 !!!! hermosas Orquídeas 👏👏👏👏🌟❤🌸🌎 saludos de Argentina .
Marta Teixeira thank you and same to you! (My Spanish is terrible!)
What's the name of the Wilsonara at 6:37? I can't hear it well (not a native English speaker). It's gorgeous!
The genus has gone through some name changes so officially it is now Oncostele Catatante.
On your older huge oncidiums do you still repot every couple of years and what kind of medium do you use? Great show
Retired Stitcher I have to repot at least every couple years because the mix breaks down due to keeping them moist.
Hello Sir Wade, what fertilizers you are using? Your blooms are crazy amazing please share to us as a orchids grower 🙏🙏🙏
I use MSU fertilizer for pure water. There is also a formulation for well water. Looking at all the environmental factors, although fertilizer does have value it is the least significant of all the components. The most neglected is air movement.
@@wadesorchids7219 Thank you for the reply🙏I will try it on to my orchids thank you Sir🙏
...WOOOOOOW!!!
SIR!
YOU ARE AN ORCHID MASTER...🤗
Your orchids are amazing!
How old (estimated) is yr plant?
wow the first specimen is beautiful
Super plants. Any tricks for getting the Catatante 'Pacific Sunburst' to flower. I have the same one. It's really big but refuses to flower.
+Gardening at Douentza I wish I could help you but I just treat it like my other Oncidium hybrids.
+Wade's Orchids Thanks for answering, Wade. It is as I suspected. I just have a bum one :D
Hi Wade. Could you give me a full name or that Miltoniopsis. In 8.20 on your video. I can't Quit understand what your saying.
Where is the greenhouse???
that oncidium is gorgeous! What kinda miniatures do you have?
Not very many at the moment.
A trichosalpinx chamaelepanthes? Epidendrum magnoliae?
Hi, what medium do you use for your beautiful oncidiums? I have one oncidium in bark chips. The roots are short :(
I use 3 parts medium bark, 1 part coarse perlite, and 1 part sphagnum moss that I cut into smaller pieces. Oncidiums like to be "evenly moist". Also remember that spending extra for good quality potting media (Orchiata bark and Besgro sphagnum moss) is worth it. Best of luck.
Wade's Orchids My oncidium thanks you!

Is that oncidium family on 12:05
What the name of it
Will you be selling divisions of Oncidium Illiustri variety Toms Leopard?
I just divided one of my two plants of it. One was sold already. There was someone who I can't remember that said they wanted the other piece. I need to send a message to my people in my listing to give them a chance to claim it. If not, you are next. It is a division of the original plant. It's never been cloned.
+Wade's Orchids awesome. i would love to have that one im my collection. i am also on facebook on orchiholics annonymous.
I want one like that. Wow it is a beauty
Are there some fragrant orchids that is relatively easy to care you would recommend getting?
Many of the Oncidium Alliance are fragrant. Onc. Heaven Scent and Oncda. Hula Halau are two of my favorites. Also, Phalaenopsis bellina and its hybrids are very nice. I have a Tuberalaceum kotoense that puts out very small flowers that are incredibly fragrant and long lasting (not an easy plant to grow though).

Wow! Sphacelatum is incredible!
awesome Wade love that Spacelatum !!!!!!
How old is that Orchid, Please?

Solveig Freeman just use a mix that is free draining and if it’s a large plant probably a clay pot. If it’s not blooming it needs more light.
What Beautiful specimens :)
you well done you have green fingers God grant you health !!!
Do you sell orchids? Where are you located?
I live in central Pennsylvania. I do sell plants at the greenhouse and by mail. Just search for Wade's Orchids and you should find my site.
