Thanks for the super tips. I always tend to kill my phals, overwatering. I find Oncidiums much easier. I have mine all in leca and semi hydroponics, and they are seem to to like it. Mine are fairly new plants so waiting patiently for them to spike. Its winter here in Europe so not the best time of year for blooms I would think.

Hi Danni, I got an oncidium orchid recently. First I had it potted in leca, and I noticed the leca beads started growing a fuzzy mold, so I switched it to moss, and I’m noticing the same. So I’m confused with what medium to repot it in. When I first received the plant I sprayed the plant and roots with peroxide. I’ve also been growing phals for years. Can you please help me out??
    Thanks,
    Mya

    Hi Danni
I am new to orchids and recently purchased onci jumpin jack 2 weeks ago and it's now in full bloom. I will follow your instructions on care etc but have a question on feeding. Do I add Epsom salt to food or a separate watering? I live in New Hampshire ...orchid is in east facing light.
Thank you for a great video

I am hooked on these orchids. Bought 3 at Trader Joe's yesterday ...$19.99 each could not resist. Only one orchid has a tag "Big Red" beautiful color & flowers. Also got the 20 20 20 Jack's fertilizer & Epsom salt. Infact they are sitting in baths right now. I am not sure how long to leave in water? Can you tell me so they don't overwater.
I will visit zygopetalum website and try to identify the 2 tag less orchids.
My sunroom is filled with streps, violets, & orchids. No room for me!
Appreciate your well instructed videos. Thank you

@@dannisorchidjourney hi, I grow my Oncidium inside. I'm in zone 9-10. I have one placed in the bathroom with grow lights. The leaves look healthy and then it turned yellow and it fell off. Now I have another one that's doing the same thing, It's frustrating watching it die 😕
