Great to see an orchid video with an Australian context. I found this very helpful as a novice grower. Thanks very much!
One of the best contents found on Oncidium, thanks for such a nice video!
Glad it was helpful! Clive knows a lot about orchids and has worked with them for most of his life.
This was an absolutely informative vid. All the pertinent information you’ve provided was helpful. Other vids I’ve watched didn’t go into vital details. Thank you sir!
Thanks for the comment, Clive is very knowledgeable and willing to share, appreciated, glad you enjoyed the video.
Très intéressant, les explications sont claires et précises. Vous avez de la facilité a transmettre votre savoir. Merci infiniment pour les informations. Le meilleur vidéo sur les oncidiums que j'ai visionné jusqu'à maintenant.

Beautiful pink flower😊
Thanks for that - The name is 'Ikes Yikes 'Lunatic Fringe' .......
Thank you for all this information! I love oncidiums. Do they need a cool period in order to spike? I have a brassia Rising Star that looks sooo healthy but has never spiked.
Thanks very much for your excellent video guides. Can you tell me where to find Osmocote 9-11-15 or 9-5-15 please.
I cannot find the Osmocote 9-11-15. Where can it be purchased. All slow release forms have higher nitrogen
What is the name of the pink speckled orchid at the end of the video? It’s absolutely gorgeous!❤
That one is an original hybrid by Clive Halls and there is only ONE of them. Its called Odontioda( Oncidium) Beenak Beauty.
Take a look at this video for a little more on this type of Orchids - WITH NAMES in the sub titles and the notes below the video.... SEE ruclips.net/video/VVNRZn1Of3A/видео.html
I’m from the US. Can you tell me what is in the eco oil and the eco fungicide? Thank you!
I do know it is based on plant oils, (100% if I recall correctly) however I do not know the actual plant oils used. I think some of these may be Australian Native Plants. It is effective and is widely used in Orchid Circles. Eco Oil MAY have a data sheet online......
johnny A I can’t seem to find anything comparable in US, except horticultural oil. I’ll keep looking.

Hello. I noticed some of the plants on the bench have moss visible. Is that just a top dressing? Thanks for very informative upload.! 🌱🙏💕✨
Hello Charla, if it is the pot I think you mean, that is sphagnum moss. You can also grow then in that as a medium and it is better if you are sending the plants by mail order. We have a seperate video coming on different growing mediums.....
johnny A wonderful.. cant wait! Subscribed
can backbulbs be grown again?
Sometimes Yes, as long as they have dormant eyes (usually the bulbs are a little green still beneath the skin) HOWEVER, it can take 4-5 years and no guarantees….
I left backbulbs sitting under the plant table to be thrown out, after 3 months with no water I noticed 2 new growths
Give the name of fertiliser sir
