- Hey everyone, sorry I've been away for so long - real life gets in the way, and GT7 hasn't really grabbed my attention lately. Hopefully this video brings you all up to speed on what I've been up to and what I have planned. As always, thanks for watching!
Congrats on being able to combine your passion with your career! You definitely deserve it with the great content you've provided us over the past few years.
I've got a question which might seem dumb about racing games and consoles versus PCs. I have a PS4 and Logitech G29 wheel setup (with an aluminum profile rig). I've had this setup for a couple years and have wanted to upgrade my pedals for quite some time. It seems like the best pedals you can get if sticking with a PS5 are from Fanatec. But even Fanatec's best pedals don't seem to compare to a lot of the pedals for PC (Heusinkveld, Asetek, Sim-Lab, etc.).
So my question is, when you play GT7, are you playing this on your PC using the Remote Console feature for PS5? Or do you have one set of pedals for playing GT7/PS5 and a better set for playing PC? Just curious what type of sim rig setup the best players on PS5 are using.
If you don't have time to answer this can you point me to a forum that would help? Thanks!
Cheers! I actually use a controller on PS5. I can't offer much advice on hardware for PlayStation, but I think Digit Gaming has covered some of the stuff he uses, so I'd look at some of his videos for an idea. Hope this helps!

We've raced each other a few times on GT7, and it was always a pleasure (even if you ended up lightyears ahead of me). I don't see myself playing Forza anytime soon (no Xbox, and PC is sluggish), but I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Also really cool to see what you've been doing for your dayjob! That is an amazing opportunity!
So happy for you doing what appears to be a very hard but rewarding job 🎉. GT7 and some of it's earlier renditions have given me times that have spanned the whole gamut of emotions. At the moment it is much more in my life than ever it has been and I am greatful to it. It is just a game though and if something needs dealing with it is put aside, life must always come first.

Love to hear that you got the opportunity of a life time. I enjoy you videos and learn as much as I can from your videos and I am a new player to motorsport, so soaking up all the info. Also, I, myself, just graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering was hoping for some insights on how you got that job opportunity as I myself am trying to get a job at any manufacturer. Lot's of players and youtubers suffered GT7 burn out, so understandable. 1.4's update made some nice changes if you've not touched it in a while. The best was the AFK glitch that got patched out mostly in 1.41, most people that caught on made good use of it and now longer need to grind repetitively for the legend car they wanted buy couldnt buy due to lack of play time.

Gt tuning calculator will help people wanting tuning, easy but the in game bop is a joke

I've noticed the server issues are related to PS4s and not PS5. if host is 4 more than likely problems
Harmonica how helpful was your gaming setups in preparing you for real work in racing vehicles?
It has helped my understanding of the changes our race engineers make, and I've offered some suggestions to fix issues based on what I've learned in sim. Pretty cool that some stuff carries over to a degree
