Thanks Daniel :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. 🎄Some addtional info. If you sign up for the monthly coverage of AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ Theft and Loss it's not transferable to someone else if you for instance sell your iPhone during the coverage. If it's the 2 year plan it is transferable. Also if you end up selling your iPhone or giving it away you have the option of cashing out the remaining coverage of a 2 year plan on a prorated basis to recover some of the initial cost. Just bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max last week and I'm heading out for a walk to the Apple Store to add this coverage. :)

@@MagicMuff749 If it's the 2 year coverage then yes you're covered. If it's the monthly plan then it's not transferable and will expire at the end of the current monthly coverage. When does it say yours expires?
Wow that is surprising if you change your apple ID and you don't get the warranty, it should follow the device but maybe this is another example of Applenomic$
Apple care+ is not worth it right up until the point you wished you had it....I think its great and wouldn't buy a new apple product without it...however I think apple knows most of who purchases apple care+ are the ones who take pride in their devices so the chances of them breaking an item is lower than the ones without apple care .
Your logic seems a bit weird. The whole point of insurance is to reduce risk. If you are careful with your devices then it doesn't make sense to have insurance. That means if you care for your device then already have a reduced chance of breaking it. If I was an individual or parties, gets drunk, work in harsh environments like a construction yard, engage in active lifestyle with my phone then that would increase the chance of my device getting broken if I carry it with me. Then it makes sense to get insurance. It's the same concept like your health or car insurance. If you are a risky driver then your car insurance is more expensive.
@@davidhughes4489 Depending on your situation you might be overpaying for piece of mind. There are also more than one way to tackle a risk. For example if you prone to be careless and drop your phone a lot then a more shock absorbing case would be more cost effective than just Apple care: $200 vs $50. At the end you have to do what's best for you and makes you sleep better.
This is true, you have to make a Genius Bar appointment for Apple Care screening and if they deem you eligible, you can add monthly AppleCare past the 60 days.
6:07 This the trickiest coverage of the warranty. You can avail apple care plus in a span of 60 days after the date you purchased or activated your brand new iphone and that warranty has a 2 year coverage. So if you think about it, a normal phone user with a decent charge cycle habit has a very little chance(not impossible though) of them degrading their battery health down to 80% below specially the pro model Iphone with high capacity in span of 2 years.
I used to think Apple care + wasn’t really worth the money until one year I learnt a valuable lesson due to unseen circumstances my iPhone 11 at the time bricked it and I ended with a expansive paper weight. I rang up Apple support explaining what happened and they quoted over £500 which I refused. Anyway lesson learnt got a new iPhone and bought an Apple Card + outright I’m not taking a chance anymore. So yeah take out Apple care +.
Also broke my back screen the other day because my girlfriend stacked her perfume on a shelf that was only screwed in the drywall. It fell, and some glass perfumes hit the back of my phone and basically crushed it. Went to Apple paid $30 they didn’t ask no questions either. My screen in the front has a legit thousands of micros & a few deep scratches & was lowkey hoping they gave me a whole phone new phone.
Wanna laugh? I still have my iPhone 8 Plus in an Otterbox Defender case. Dropped it plenty of times over the years. The top of the line Otterbox is cheaper than any service. And it comes with a lifetime warranty. (I’m on my second free one) Second point. If you’re paying 24 payments for the “two year” warranty? The first year would’ve been free anyway.
