JackAttack his melee is for the disrespect. It feels way worse to see this huge guy with a massive gauntlet kill you with his normal fist
Tom Marshall true but it would be more logical for him to punch with the gauntlet. If you could punch with your regular hand or Doomfist's gauntlet what would you punch with?
JackAttack real boxers use both hands on fighting. it just so happens that his right hand is bound to alt fire and his left hand is bound to meelee.
JackAttack ok so you would rather he melee with his doomfist only doing whatever the base melee damage is? That would be way more underwhelming
notice how he has to charge his gauntlet to punch? because it's heavy and not easy to just swing around like a glove. so he has to use his other hand
In full honesty, I can easily tell you, Blizzard, that this is the character I've been looking forward to. Amazing job with his character design, voice acting, and move set. Keep being awesome, Overwatch team!
I'm glad that they didn't submit to peer pressure and let Terry Crews voice Doomfist.

You can make/join a custom game to do this anytime you want as well.
I'd rather have No Limit in Arcade Mode rather than as a Custom Server which no one goes into, it may get some attention when a new hero gets a release but after that, no one joins in.
Total Mayhem isn't even fun to play to begin with since you pretty much know how it goes in every single match. Both teams have Winston, Sombra, Zarya and Mercy hanging behind to stall the match for like 30 minutes or more, 500% servers are more fun that this garbage.

A hook is way more OP than a punch. U can dodge a punch, but u cant dodge roadhog.

Dylan Blom doomfist has a 1 shot ability, a one shot combo, and a one shot ult where he can't be countered during the ult. Seems fair.

No, because the gameplay isn't canon. You'd be escorting an empty payload at Numbani if Doomfist was already confined. Blizzard has stated this before.

The main reason I think they didn't put Terry Crews for DoomFist (besides that he doesn't have an African accent) is probably cause he would have overshadowed the character himself. As cool as it would be to have an even bigger cybernetic Terry Crews crushing Mei's skull into a wall like in the video, people would probably imagine him as Terry Crews. It would be a bit hard to separate the VA from the character.
Still I'd want a skin that looks like Terry Crews and has alternate voice lines by him. Don't think they'd do that, but that would be really neat. Kind of like how Hanzo and the Halloween skins have alternate voice lines for different skins.
I'd treat the Doomfist the same as I treat McCree if it was Terry Crews. Just act like I'm playing a really badass version of the VA.
Just check the brasilian voicing of Mortal Kombat X. Thats a good reason not to throw a dude, as cool as he is, to this job. In the aforementioned case they took a brasilian singer to voice Cassie Cage, and it was weird to say the least. Aim at quality always, thats what blizzard always shows us.
Last I checked, Torbjorn's voice actor doesn't have a Swedish accent. In fact, it's obviously fake and exaggerated. It's called acting for a reason.
What is an African accent? Last time I checked, Africa was a continent with 54 countries in it, each with their own accent.

Yeah, wasn't she a treat. Wonder why they didn't let her speak about the game? Sure it's not because she was a paid actor that hasn't touched the game. I'm positive.
I am just IN LOVE with the amount of passion put behind this game and the details that go into not only the game play, but the lore as well. Every time just a tidbit of lore comes out I get so excited because we're only getting a sneak peak to what the rest of the story is going to unravel to. I have never felt so invested in a story line like this, especially for a video game! Coming from a person who loves character development and character concepts with all that jazz this is just spectacular work and I can't wait to see what else unravels about talon, about the heros, about the crisis, EVERYTHING!! You guys really made Doomfist better than I imagined him to be. In all honesty he seemed like a regular hero at first, but the more that came out the more his full image came to be and it was exciting to see him come to life here.

From the first cinematic I remember watching to now, actually having Doomfist be an actual character in the game is amazing. Overwatch team did a really great job with him, fits right in.

I have to praise Blizzard for the reference sheets they give. Not only are they very detailed and informative, but doing fanart that uses them as bases, it goes to show just how much care and attention they put into the design. You see every joint, every wire, bolt, rivet, every badge and bit of embellishment, and more .
They probably had a number of other concept arts, they just won't show them. Doom first probably had a number of different looks. The same goes for his abilities, design is about simplicity so you can expect this character have a dozen other forms in the heads of the developers.

+reborn only a fraction, I can tell you the way they present it makes it seem a lot more awesome than it might be. A lot more designs had to be ditched in order for this one to be realized. You know developers have different opinions among themselves, sadly no one gets to see the actual discussion around this character, it's not all nice and dandy when developing.

Doomfist is probably one of the most unique and done well characters in all of Overwatch, and will always be among one of my favourite heroes in Overwatch

I have an idea for a Talon Support character, I don't have any drawings but I have story for his lore and his abilities.
Name: Celio Bianchi
Story: He's 27 years old. He was born into a poor family in Italy that never thought much of him or believed that he could accomplish his dreams. Celio was bullied by his mom and kids from school back in Italy and this abuse resulted in a ruptured nose. This deformity led to more insults and abuse thrown his way but Celio ignored this and focused on school so that he could become a doctor and pay for a nose replacement and also seeking to help other people in need. Years later he graduated and was deeply moved by Doomfist's goal of making the world stronger through conflict and this resonated with Celio when he thought back to his childhood and how he did become a stronger person from his abuse and accomplished his goal. He started working with Talon as a healer and learned from the lead doctor in the Talon organization. Although the leaders of Talon have a different view on conflict making the world stronger, Celio believes that his toxins would be able to alter human minds and physiology to make everyone stronger. But no one took him seriously at Talon Headquarters and think of him as a nuisance and make him abide by their standards since they don't want drugs to be their influence. However, Celio still works with Talon because he believes in their view to make the world stronger while perfecting his toxins and practicing them on anyone who gets in his teams way.
Primary Weapon: Pistol (like Mercy, Dva out of mech, and McCree)
Abilities:
Healing Fume: (This ability is similar to Mercy's healing beam but you have to be within a few feet of a teammate like Lucio). Celio sprays a yellow cloud of gas that wraps around a single teammate and heals them while hindering the damage they take by 25% (this could be changed in case it's too op but basically he heals them while also helping the team take less damage than they should)
Noxious Turret: (like Symmetra's turret but only 1 can be placed) A small triangular device is built and can be placed in rooms or on objectives and when triggered by an enemy a stream of purple gas covers the floor and deals damage to enemies, causing them to evacuate, also provides aoe heal to allies who enter the area but not as fast as his single target heal. (Healing Fume)
Ultimate: Cloud 9
Voiceline: Hold your breath
Celio tosses a tiny spore of gas that releases and gives all teammates damage resistance while damaging enemies within the vicinity. This ultimate works sort of like a grander version of the Noxious Turret but can cover an entire point and could be used to get enemies off of the objective.
Appearance: A skinny man of average height with shoulder length messy brown hair. His most unique feature is that he has a robotic nose (kind of like a metallic star plastered in the middle of his face) it helps him smell and makes him immune to his toxins because he can filter out the poisons. He wears a tidy lab coat that's fitted to his body with boots.
I know this was really long to read, but if you've made it this far thank you for reading and I hope this was good or ok.

Nuyi Saolvie good idea, but how does he defend himself when flankers like genji or tracer attack him? I mean Lucio can escape by wall-ride/boop, symmetra can unleash barrier and charge shot, zenyatta can use his alternate fire, mercy can escape to nearby teammte, and ana can sleep-dart or heal herself with biotic grenade.
Nuyi Saolvie that's REALLY good. But he could use a passive that would make him more mobile like that other guy said.

Only thing that would improve the character itself ingame was a closer and more similar face structure to that of the trailer. He looks more intimidating there in my opinion, and a bit older, but still a fun character overall.

Doomfist does feel powerfull. He's got mobility to enter or escape the fray, he's got good defense for enough kills or time to escape, he can kill offense, defense, and healers with 1 punch along with the wall, he's got good combos, and his weakness is his speed if you don't have the abilities to escape. He's kinda like a Reaper mixed with Genji. Tanks are his weakness to since he can't take them down easily with 1 punch. I'm excited to play him in comp.

I will love to see an animated short: DoomFist vs Orisa. I know Orisa was created to defeat DoomFist, but that will be very cool. You guys sad that OverWatch heroes might be preparied, but they are cuz they have Orisa :))

in terms of the meta, Orisa isn't very strong. I enjoy playing her and find her a fun and cool hero to play. She's not very powerful though.

Terry Crews would not fit the role as Doomfist in my opinion. Also, since Doomfist has been in development since the release of that animated short, I am pretty sure they already had a VA before the "Terry Crews for Doomfist" meme existed.
