I just find this so satisfying... hearing Nev break down EXACTLY what makes people fail on backside 180s. From my own experience I think it's ABSOLUTELY a confidence problem related to the blind landing (which is frightening at first), and a resultant hesitation that leads to shying away from the speed and pop that ultimately make the trick easier to "float" nicely. And the form shown at 2:47 is beautiful. Every part of the trick from approach to take off... just perfectly demonstrated. I love to study and perfect technique. :)
Snowboard addiction team, thanks for all these tutorials! I was snowboarding today and I was able to land a few frontside and backside 180s off of a small jump. I have been working on the 180 butter tricks a lot, but I am now getting enough courage to try it out on the jumps.
I can't believe this channel is not more popular than other snowboard channels, those videos are worth paying for ! The detailed breakdown of every movement is amazing ! It feels like a real coaching session.
Love a slow backside 1 but grab Indy . Pop high Lock grab at 90% turn your head and spot your Landing . Stomp and absorb… don’t even look down until your past 90%
I really struggle with thi trick and I've been boarding for decades. I'm guessing Confidence is the key...being more comfortable with travelling 'backwards' blindly...which is terrifying. I suppose I need to spend more time jumping and landing on the piste and staying backwards for a few seconds longer.
@@supersaiyajin1599 That's what I did for about one week during my first season. Today, I ride regular and goofy with equal frequency and can't even tell which stance is stronger for me.

I can do fs 180s from toe edge, like on toe edge side hits. I think bs 180s from the heel are way harder tho.
Those would be considered hardway spins. Like a front 180 off toes is a hardway front 180
Can't even ride switch, this will have to wait for me :D
try riding switch only for the hole day . you get better very fast
