This is KNOWLEDGE bro! Spotting the landing under your arm instead of over the shoulder was the biggest 🔑 for me. Back 3s always felt super sketchy before that but now I can throw it (almost) anywhere
man Taevis is crushing it with these breakdowns. what a talented boarder and instructor. i can 360 pretty easily but i HAVE to try this. i've always had a tough time spotting the landing, now i'm going to try to look under my arm. 2:55 on really helped. I've seen this in Taevis' other breakdowns as well. can't wait to take it to the slope. bringing everything back to the basics really helps. nev taught me years ago from the 5:00 mark on with the older videos on 360s, 540s, 720s, which i've been using pretty heavily. i'm nearing 40 years old and learning everyday. thanks addiction!
@@1Flyingfist I feel like it some days haha. been boarding for 25 years now on and off. keeping that passion alive is very difficult, especially after large injuries. 2 years ago was the first time I got back on the board after 8 years. it was like I could do all the higher end tricks but forgot the basics. just showing my appreciation here
Sad to see the series end but my goodness was this 10/10 quality! Hope you do another soon, Taevis! Tell the big boss you need a raise or a promotion after this. Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for the support!!!❤️ The series ends on 1080s so there is many more to come! The 360s are just the last ones we will be posting to RUclips this winter. But rest of them are coming! And you can find them first on ADDICTION+
Super important trick to master! In fact, at the time this video was released, we were working on BS 360s in the Live Sessions on Addiction+ (I'm in the upper left corner at 13:39). The tips from 6:17 onward are where I am at in dialing this trick. I've been mostly focusing on finding ridges of snow, but I think doing the trick on a downhill run will help with my setup carve, wind-up, and snap. Definitely need to try this for next season. Great video, Taevis! I'm having a blast learning from Snowboard Addiction! :)
Another great video. This series has helped me with my riding so much. Was able to spot my weaknesses (breaking at the waist and not staying stacked) and correct them. Thank you guys Addiction + is so helpful!
Thank you so much for taking this great content on RUclips, I wish you the best success, you deserve it, I'm looking forward for some new tutorials on 7 spins
Wow Taevis broke down this trick to level where I understand it fully now. The stacked position tips were key. I have back 3s pretty dialed but never felt comfortable enough to increase the rotation for 5s or 7s. Looking at my clips my form is def off. Thank you! Excited to get these better
I’d say backside 360s are way harder to get proper then a front 3, since the take-off is so much more challenging. But when it comes to what okie you should learn first, everyone has a preference. Back 3s just take more time to master so I wanted to do this video first:)
Thank you for great videos with excellent explanations. Despite your recommendations I still feel that bending at the waist is the most common problem I have. Is there any more specific recommendations to combat this issue? I also hope you do a frontside 360 video as a follow up to the backside 180. Our crap western NY winter made practicing very difficult this year and I feel you are laying a good foudation for next winter. I have a tramp and your tramp board and will continue practice along with Vew-DO and my stand up desk balance board. I'd love to see a series by you on trampoline tutorials. Thanks again.
Tramp series can be done! Figuring out what your doing wrong via comments isn’t really possible, what is why we made ADDICTION+ a online coaching g program we’re you can get feedback from taevis and Nev. Check it out here: www.addictionplus.tv We will cover everything we can, but the videos can’t be too long so aadiction+ is we’re we can go deeper into every topic:)
Do you recommend learning front or back 3s first? It feels more natural to spin front side but also seems tougher to jump off the heels and land blind.
I know it’s all personal preference, but what’s your advice about stance width and angles? What are your stance and angles and how did you get there ? Did you always know or did it take a lot of trial and error ?
It took a bit to figure out, but I ride reference stance with -9 +12 When I’m doubt reference it out! The biggest thing I learned is stances aren’t actually a big deal, there is too wide and too narrow of course, but if you are trying to be a well rounded snowboarder everyone’s stance is within 2 inches, so my recommendation is don’t go too far outside of reference!
Not tosh but I find the backside 3 mentally harder than a fs 3. FS 3 you can kinda get away with always seeing the landing the entire time without much effort.
Your ads in the middle of the screen really detract, if you announce em at the end, I wanna say people will, but I know I pay more attention and associate them more with the video. Like if in the future I wanna order something I’ll go back to those videos so they get the kickback or whatever benefit. Just a thought, not fully trying to hate. I really do enjoy your videos, they’re really well and entirely translated from the movement to explanation.

Right on!!! It’s wild how much it helps!

Back 3s are the trick that gave me the control I have today, so don’t neglect them!!!

Another great breakdown of Taevis. Your videos and information are so in depth, like no others before. You crushing it bro 👊 Greetz from Germany 🤙

This is the best BS 360 breakdown and tutorial ever! It's clear concise and doesn't drag on too long.

Taevis is awesome. Keep up the great content
Been looking forward to this one!
What a solid well produced and complete tutorial 🔥

Great Video Much appreciated
Another amazing breakdown Taevis! So do you think the backside 360 is easier than a frontside 360 and this is the first 360 we should be attempting?

Great question!
Thank you so much for this topic! Complete explanation about bs 360
Glad you liked it

The tip of tightening your glutes is cool, do you hold that from the run in till landing? Any tips to keep the arms level to the snow when spinning?
It’s just when you do your wind-up! And I need more details for that, ask us in ADDICTION+!
What type of board is it? Great video
Nitro Team Pro!
What would u say are the best bind angles for frestyle(big jumps)/allmountain
9 - 12 for sure. It’s what most people use and for good reason:)
Do you recommend learning front or back 3s first? It feels more natural to spin front side but also seems tougher to jump off the heels and land blind.
Front 3s let you cheat a lot more, but have a few hard principles to learn, both are good options just make sure to take the proper steps!
I know it’s all personal preference, but what’s your advice about stance width and angles? What are your stance and angles and how did you get there ? Did you always know or did it take a lot of trial and error ?

I want that jacket and pants.. what brand/model are those? Digging the look

Big man tosh. Which is harder? Frontside 360 or backside. And is that the reason you started with backside. Or just a great starting trick
Not tosh but I find the backside 3 mentally harder than a fs 3. FS 3 you can kinda get away with always seeing the landing the entire time without much effort.
Tosh does not read these comments, but it’s all about preference.
You should work on both tho! The basics are good for snowboarding in general
Any idea what gear Taevis is wearing?
Tolasmik from snowears.com
@@SnowboardAddiction sweet, cheers.
I was told you would want to land on heel edge to stop spin. Should I land flat based instead?
Yep, heel edge landings are aways a mistake. They increase the impact of the landing.
@@SnowboardAddiction thank you for getting back to me. So over rotating is not a concern for back 3?
It is, but heel edge landings are like putting a bandaid on cancer, your not fixing the problem haha
To cork do you just throw downwards?
Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out our Joe to backside cork video
@@SnowboardAddiction that’s why I land on my face. Thanks I’ll check it out
Is this filmed in April?
Nope! A month ago or so
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
