The title is accurate, I watched this video and now I have a full time job and first serious girlfriend. Thank you
Made my live🤣
😂😂😂😂
lol good one 👍🏼
Women and employers alike love a man who can butter their biscuits!
@@mondoshredder5783 Was it your injuries? I just finished watching The Crash Reel (great documentary on Keven Pearce and a testament to helmets.) and when he got out of the hospital after 3 months of fighting for his life and rehab his GF left him. Not sure why but Im assuming it's because he wanted to get back on the stick and land that god forsaken double cork. Glad to see he's come to terms with his life and that fact that he will never be able to compete again. Still sad though. =/
Why do I torture myself watching this after my snowboard trip?
Michael Mannino never stop preparing for the next trip.
looool
lol
ikr, miss it like crazy
I did the same, read your comment and laughed! Just got back last night.
Yup, changed my life. In hospital bed with broken neck
wait really
xD
PMSL 😂
gl bro haha
HahahhahHh 😂😂😂🤣
I caught a toe edge just watching this video...
#riderocker
LeCharles07 rocker is for noobs
Lol caught a toe edge on my rocker doing spins last week. Doesn't matter what board, gotta pull the downhill edge up hard
M. H. You clearly know nothing about boarding.
Same my back hurts now
I remember when I first started trying spins... I still remember the sound of my helmet hitting the ground after catching an edge lol
Sounds like I'm gonna need a helmet. XD
@@princetemujjin its definitely a good idea! especially if your local hill is icy :( i got a lot of headaches learning to snowboard at my treacherous ski hill lol
Maybe you need rocker istead of camber? It is much more easier to do sipns on ground
@@snek_4745 im sure that would help, but its more in the technique as you can do spins on either kind of board
Definitely get a helmet. Listen to Tony Hawk talk in any interview and you can hear what years of hitting your head does to you
4:09 i can do this just not on purpose
Nate 88 same
Lmaaooo this made my day cause its so recognizing to me
Spinjitsu snow style
Watching this after getting a new snowboard in the middle of winter is too much hype for me
same!
why am I watching this in the middle of summer?
because snowboard is life
why do we have the same name
Jonesing? Not a bad thing, just keep your eyes on Winter.
Thanks Duncan. I'm 54 and going Boarding with my daughter for the first time. I last boarded over 20 yrs ago. I'm so excited. #slowly #gently #keepitsimple
So tell us, how'd it go after 20 years of not boarding?
holy shit I need to wait half of a year to have snow
🤦♀️🙄
or move to the far south
😭😭😭
Yo me too, but let's be optimistic. We've already waited half a year! Let's get it!
2 months and the glaciers will open here in austria :D
This is my go-to video at the beginning of every season: it's always good to restart from basics, since I don't have the chance to train snowboard during the rest of the year!
I don’t watch snowboarding, I don’t snowboard, I’ve never touched a snowboard... yet here I am.
the boybrutus just try it, trust me you won’t regret it
get involved
I hope you’ve started boarding now
trust us, or has anyone in the internet ever been proofed wrong?!
I've been snowboarding for over ten years and am just now like, "maybe youtube could teach em to ride better."
I'm so glad I skated for 10 years before starting to snowboard. I picked most of this up naturally without even having to think about it.
same
Yup
Me too lol
Ollies and 180s yes. But riding and butters and riding switch is still new. I don't think skating helped me a lot
i can snowboard but wondering if that will make skateboarding easier as i want to get into it
Caught an edge and face planted from watching this video.
Jappan Behl if you’re not falling over you’re not pushing yourself if you’re not pushing yourself you’re not trying hard enough
Lol. Are you really blaming your faulty foot placement on a well informed, helpful video? Wow 😂😂
@@Zohan369 when did he do that
@@Zohan369 Yep, flashbacks... virtual face-plant.
I thought I was losing control when I was really pulling off shifties all this time - thanks SA!!!
Discovered spinning last week on my own and had so much fun! Thanks for a lot more new idears to use and have fun!
This is great advice. I’ve been boarding for years, but I think I might still go back and practice these basics to clean up my style.
the way that Blake can make the camera so smooth and ride effortlessly while Duncan stunts is beautiful. That is a next level cameraman. Duncan is steezy AF and delivers the info. Good style. thanks for the value guys! This video has helped a bunch of my family and little kids learn tricks. super job on this. Thanks!
Got to agree, one of the best videos and exactly what I was looking for! More like this please!
This is one of the best tutorials EVER!! Thank you. I can't wait to get out and try these. It's opened up my world...again😁
I don’t even snowboard, I ski, but I appreciate this video so much. Very, very professionally and ergonomically edited/written. All around excellent production, friends. Happy 2021
So this randomly popped up on my feed. I dont ride often anymore but i watched your 3 and 5 tutorials 13 years ago. Glad to see this channel is still helping others improve.
Feeling hyped. Took a couple of days off work in two weeks and rented a big ass house next to a resort with a couple of bros. Definitely gonna try this out on the easier slopes. Can't wait.
Pansar Pelle gp
Ur a legend! This is exactly what a snowboarder needs to be able to be an amazing snowboarder 🏂 Thx for the Teaching :)
You are a natural when it comes to teaching. Professional and thorough. Great content
4:12 damn his ping must be high
spinning aim bot
You guys always killing it with such a solid advice and tricks!!! Thanks for the vids.!
I LOVE spinning down the mountain. So much fun and great practice for control. Love
The ABSOLUTE FIRST thing you need to learn in progression is riding switch with carves in BOTH directions. Then move on to these.
Agreed. Much easier if you move your bindings into the middle of the board (I have a burton process flying V, so the EST/infinite channel bindings make it easy to move the bindings forward so they are absolutely centered on my board)... also adjust the angles so your bindings are completely symmetrical. That way you can ride half the day switch and half regular so your muscles get a break on each side, usually I ride all day and get 35K vertical or so.
any tips on riding switch ? can pretty much do whatever riding normal but switch sketches me out. i ride 15, 10
@I hate everyone thanks for the advice, hit mt snow vt yesterday and rode a couple trails switch. got some solid 180s down working on the flat 270s
Why’s that?
I respectfully disagree. There is no reason why you can't learn these basics before learning to carve switch (learning switch, however, is key to upping your game). These four basic moves will really get your balance cranked up. Like the coach says ... start off on less slope with less speed. And make sure you have situational awareness (be aware of the space and those around you) turned up as you always should.
I've tried this, it works! today many people told me my riding is improving. Thanks SA
I feel complete now. Not sure how I made this far in life without this. Thank you
This is great.. So many ideas. Thank you!
Snowboarding next week I can’t wait to try these new moves
Thank you very much!
For so long positioning before doing tricks was so hard. I'll practice that as warming every time!
Great simple progression and spot on demos. Kudos!
Hell ya! Thx for the inspiration! Cant wait to put this into use. Presented very well! Ty!
I ride bmx for a long time now and been boarding for a few..
Last winter season ( in Germany) I got in practicing basic skills based on your videos
I found out that besides getting better in boarding, I really gained more overall balance when riding bmx
Its crazy how much balance you get when practicing basic snowboard skills like buttering and doing flat spins and jumps ( combined too)
Keeep it up, nice videos!
Very clear, explained in a simple way, and useful! Thank you!
0:19 Nose and Tail Presses
1:20 Ollies and Nollies
3:04 Spinning
4:35 Shifties
Snowboarding this Sunday is gonna be great, god I can't wait.
Seriously gonna try out spinning for the first time and definitely hit the jumps a few more times. Time to take risks and have a blast doing it :)
Love your videos SnowboardAddiction.
Watching this right now while getting up the slope in Changbaishan. Now I'm turning like a circle. Riding since 20 years but never did some tricks, now I thought it's time 😁 and it's fun even I fall several times
Thank you for your help, I understood every bit of it and I can’t wait to try everything on the slopes
Nose/Tail presses are probably the most underrated snowboard move. Even I learned 180's and 360's before presses but I think getting presses down is really important for jumping because landing on the nose or tail is even easier when you know presses. Its all a comfort thing lol.
Havent even watched the video and my life is changed. Now im off to change the world. Cheers!
Just got myself a nice new jib board so can't wait to take some of these pointers with me on to the mountain!
A really nice, non judgemental, step by step guide on things that will actually make things more fun. Cheers
Great and inspiring stuff. Haven't been boarding for 4 years, next week going to the mountains. Going to practice these to get back in shape.
So stoked for the post-covid season, last one I practiced carving after not having been on a board for 10 years and even learned how to fully ride/carve switch! This season I want to pick up the speed, get really good at carving, and master everything shown in this video.
Never thought about doing nose/tail presses or ollie/nollies while sideslipping, great tip!
Great skills Duncan, you make everything look so easy.
I’m so addicted to snowboard this was just a nice injection to the snow vein, thanks!!!
Wow, this is a side of snowboarding I just never got to learn. I’ll definitely be trying my hand with these, this is how I will elevate my fun to a new level
Cant wait to try some new tricks on the slopes! Thanks for this 😄✌
One of my favorite vids you've put out. Thanks!
Great vid! 🤘🏼
Gutted I didn’t think to search this before going away! Have to wait till next January now.
Aaah yeah... Whistler. Had a great time there this year, longing to get back to shred and the Splitz 🍔
Great vid 👍
Wow this is incredibly helpful. Snow boarding for me has been a solo learning experience so thanks.
I got a concussion snowboarding last weekend and now I am in the hospital, that day was completely erased from my memory. It’s a shame that I don’t even remember whether I learned how to do all the ollies and nollies properly. I will have to learn to do them again
4:10 - malfunction......malfunction.....can't......stop.....spinning.....
I was pretty radical for many years. I'm 44 now, have a neck injury, so basically I just go down the hill nowadays, and I think I love riding even more.
This video is packed! Gives me a lot of inspiration to practice :)
Can’t wait to apply this to my 2nd season coming up. Tucson Arizona! My buddy and I have to drive 4 hours to get some snow ❄️ don’t stop us
Wow, your really good teacher! Def gonna give these a try in the same sequence...nice.
I learned myself spins few years ago, never seen anybody doing that. I was so proud
Worth the effort man, thanks!!
I can’t wait this will be my first full season
Such a great video, easily explained and demonstrated...thanks mate!
Need to work on all of these. Great video.
Simple and much more than useful! Thank you guys, the video is amazing. Now I have a plan for a season :D
Def some good advice , that shifty front board tho 🔥
Your explanations are as clear and precise as your skill is awesome ! Thanks for this video 😊
Can't wait to go back to the slopes to try these moves!
Thanks for the tips
You make it look so easy
great vid just what i needed i have a lot of tricks but need to improve butters and i think this is the best vid for it !
This video was so awesome, exactly what I need right now. Some new easy trick ideas I can build up upon. Thank you so much!! :)
This was a perfect tutorial Helped unhook my rotations thank you!
Thank you. I was wondering why my spinning was so inconsistent. I'll keep my head up from now on!
This is just the type of video I like to see!
Ty! This winter I should try it!
I started buttering because I started riding with people that were new to snowboarding; it gave me something to do on cat tracks and easy runs before they had the confidence to go do difficult stuff. After that, I fell in love and bought a Capita Horrorscope and am perfectly content to stay on cat tracks now.
Absolutely great video man, thaks a lot!!
Will defo try these, thanks!
These tricks are great!thank you ,i ll start practice just like that
Great vid! Thanks for the upload!
Awesome vid. 2 Weeks till first time on snow in 6 years. Done like a weeks snowboarding tops, but I'll be doing all of these by day two. Or be a broken man!
Insane dude! U leveled me up!
Excellent video! My kids and I will definitely make use of these moves. Cheers!
This is great! Thank you for this!
Soooo good, especially the last trick and all the combos. Wish this had come out a few weeks ago BEFORE I was in Whistler :P
thankyou for your time
Really good tutorial and also entertaining, keep rolling
Yo. Life changing indeed! Love it
i wish i had such controll under my board as u....amazinggg
Just got back from shredding fresh pow and working on these things ❄️😀
Duncan is a great coach, did a week at pro ride Whistler in 2010, fun!
This is the most useful video I watched, thank you!
Star work, fella! 💪🏻 👍🏻
Awesome video and amazing quality! Really nice explanations. Subbed!
