Yooo i was watchin this vid all serious n i see homeboy groin like his soul left his body🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
*Groaning
I HOWLED at 5:40 😭😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 how y’all kept it together and continued the shot deserves an Oscar or something
Always gotta be proffesional!
I'm dying at 5:40 shot! Just the fact that the camera guy panned and they turned to look at fall then went back seemlessly into talking was priceless. Also watch closely, he gets back up and tries to wave like he's OK but then almost falls again
Yeah... and the guy was like "ahhhh!"
Same
ʜᴏᴡ ᴅɪᴅ ɪᴛ ғᴇᴇʟ?
" ᴏᴏᴏʜ ʏᴇᴀᴀʜ !!"
hahahaha same I'm dead
didnt even ask if he all good, rough as hahaha
I immediately paused at 5:42 and went to the comment section and you guys really didn't disappoint. Great stuff RUclips commentators haha. Also thanks for the great content and tips on your channel Snowboard Addiction
same lmfaaooo
That guy at 5:40 is the PERFECT example on how to do it!!! haha
I don’t even think his board touch the snow, it was straight to the cheeks.
15-20ft eh? Guy at 5:40 is out here trying to prove Nev wrong lol
:)
That guy said nah let’s push it to 35-40
5:42
We’ve all had that moment
😂😂😂😂
5:40 dude I'm actually tearing up
+1 you can actually hear their voices crack up a touch after it happens. incredible.
+1 the guitar rings out at near-perfect time as he launches
+1 cameraman for naturally panning over for a better shot/great entertainment despite it being completely off-topic
+1 great tutorial video and can't wait to try this on my front 3s next month!
so i know this is years later... but literally the same thing happened to me last time i hit a jump! and it hurts like hell. lol i got a lot of air but my whole body just sort of tilted and i landed like on my back! plz tell me what can i do to AVOID this happening again hahahaha
@@stevegalea518 don't land on your back
"How did it feel?" "OoAoU" hahahahaha
Nev and this kid * 👀
ɪ ғᴇʟᴛ ʜɪs ᴘᴀɪɴ
this literally happened to me the last time i tried to hit a jump!! my whole body just sort of tilted almost and i landed like on my back almost! ive never felt comfortable hitting a jump since then, is there ANY way i can avoid doing that again hahaha
@@stevegalea518 You went off lip on edge, instead of 'stacked' over your board and flat based. Start on smaller, starter jumps to get the feeling. Look up Nev's tutorials on learning jumps...they'll do a better job than I can explain here. Don't give up, man.
Who knew this would be the funniest video on RUclips.
Wow, this is one of the best little snowboarding instruction videos. Great job, Nev and Chris!
That dude broke his tailbone 😂😂😂😂
Wooow, that was a very good lesson!!!!
I make the same mistake, and you found and fix it:)
Snowboard addiction is the BEST!!
Still sucks the student didn't connect the dots in the video. Breaking old habits is hard though.
Great video, Nev, I would love to see more like this! And in case it helps anyone, I practiced the blind landing with backside 180's first and it helped a ton. Can even practice them without a jump.
Such a smooth, calm tutorial. Very nice work, I would love to see more like this.
Nev gives some very great advice here. The curving carve line up to the lip and the blind landing were just the right tips. Snowboarding could use more experienced freestyle riders sharing their trick technique wisdom.
I will especially advocate the idea of mastering the 360 spinning motion while unstrapped, just jumping off feet (8:19). When I was first learning 3s (frontside AND backside), I would practice them unstrapped first and it was incredibly helpful for preparing my body for the motion off a jump.
5:40 Omg hilarious :D made my day :D
I love when they were jumping and spinning and thank you! I definitely was doing some of these mistakes
Really like this format - really useful to see mistakes of real people, and how breakdown the solutions.
Right off the bat the first video with actual helpful information
Thank you so much! That is exactly how i do my 360s... always stalled and sometimes overrotating at the bottom because i do not look uphill while landing. Did not really knew what i did wrong till i saw this video! Thumbs up!
5:41 is the perfect frame of what not to do in the air.
The dude at 5:40 did the 1 dislike cus he caught on camera :(
5:43 the sound of getting your cheeks busted!!!
Try 5:42
his cheeks got clapped
Nice video! He gets it when trying without board but then the habit strikes back on the big jump. With such strong habit he should first practice it on flatground and very small jumps where it's easier to realize what's going on. But he already gets a nice style of riding and good pop, so with more methodical approach he can become a very good freestyle rider.
Thank you for breaking this down so much, super helpful!
I love his instruction techniques, iv learnt so much on this Video. Thanks a lot!
That's such a great vid when u have some who is working on it and show them.. it helps to see the things not to and to do better than some who is great at it and try's to do it wrong... awesome vid!!!!! I'm working on these myself:-)))
Super helpful! Stomp the blind landing. So subtle yet so important! Nice.
DAMN 5:41 was pain 😖
Nice vid tho- that guy should be your next lesson lol
These videos are so good!!!! Cheers team.
Super cool guys, we love and follow your lessons, and tips and tutorials.
Awesome. Simple but accurate observation of the student. Efficient problem solving. Pro.
Very good explanation, thank you for sharing this points!
such a great teacher !
5:42 The best moment ever! The cameraman knew it!
Thank you very much 4 that tips, very helpful!
Great knowledge and instruction. Well done
This guy must be the best Snowboard Teacher on the universe
Agreed, the tips were spot on.
Thanks for this!! I film a lot of snowboarding but want to get better at riding!!
Another great video!
Great & easy to follow tips. Cheers
Great work with blind landing thk 💪💪
8:30 yesssiiiir Im bouta be practicing tf outta that
such a good teacher !!
This helps me so much! Thank you!
Really enjoyed that
awesome video! very helpful
well we know who doesn't watch snowboard addiction 5:40
did it feel smooth in the air?
This is very helpful thanks
still no blind landing at last, but doing it over and over again will get him the confidence. progression was made. blind landing the f3 is so nice. learning switch bs1 can help to improve .
5:40 is the BEST part of this clip~!~ LAUGH my brain out~!~ LOL Best ammusement captured EVER~
2:07 "so your entry path was very much straight in"
2:10 shows perfect toe to heel carving entry path
yeah nah
issue was actually fully prerotated shoulders before even leaving the snow.
under rated comment. nothing about the shoulder rotation in here
@@Chris-mx4jb other problem is trying to get the board to full 360 too early then having to force the shoulders around to catch up to it
A great way to practise blind landings is bs 180s across the fall line first, then down the fall line, and eventually taking it to the park. Feeling secure and safe in the air whilst looking backwards is so important.
Great video thanks!
So helpful. Cheers!
Very useful. Waiting for a season..
Great video :)
Man youre a cool guy Neill
05:42 I feel u son lool
omfg 7:13 Idk if he got it, but THANK YOU FOR THE VID finally figured out wtf im doing wrong (hopefully...I need a new season of GOT cuz Winter aint comin fast enuf..)

If I ever get to US I'll be looking out for you Nev, would love to get some time under your wing. Loving all your vids
We are based up in Whistler - We are hosting Whistler Ride Week in March 2024 could be the oppertunity you are looking for! Details are on the ADDICTION+ Tab of our website :)
Would love to but little beyond my budget. Off to French Alps over New Year so relying on your video instruction for making advances.
This was a good tutorial.
What jacket are you wearing? I really like the colour
this is realy nice guys
That blind landing, personally, worked great in the park but not so great landing in pow or choppy snow on side hits. I had to learn to spot them
Thanks
Wait so I though you had to do like a 180, end up looking behind and then do the last 180 with your lower body but its the other way around?
5:41 I'm a horrible person. I laughed too hard.
I come back every few months just for this 5:40
@David B
Yo bro... I’m right there with you... I literally cry every time I watch that video😂😂😂...
They have mountains in australia?
5:40 best part of the video
5:42 Is Oscar nominee !
I need nev to follow me around all year.
True
could you elaborate on why doing a blind landing is better? In my head I feel like looking ahead would make it easier to land...
Useful tips, thanks. However... Do you really teach snowboarding without helmet required for trainees? And jumping?
Nev' Did it feel Smooth in the air?
Enter stage left Mr. 5.40
Came to the comment section for all the 5:40 burns 😂
Dude! That a hard fall haha
5:40
I rate the dude learnings sallopettes, anyone got a brand?
I went to Mt Hood snowboard camp 2000 dude is legit
Idk how anybody kept their composure at 5:40 i would have died from laughter. Ripperoni to that guys tailbone tho.
I'd say add a little bit of bending knees play. One slight flat ollie gesture on the kicker and one smooth knees to chest on the zero-gravity moment to let that parabola happen
And wear a helmet !
im dieing i literally went straight to the comments and everyone was talking about 5:40 lmaoooo
5:40 that guy need more help!
Right
he need some milk!
@@18JMCPRODUCTIONS18 i just drank a chocolate milk
Lmfao he could use the coaching more 😂
@10:10 he's still stalling the upper body; you have to let the upper body lead the rotation and rotate enough to spot the landing. It's obvious there's a lot of unlearning to do. New does a great job at explaining it tho'. I found that learning fs 360s worked better riding switch as the coil up felt easier.
An easy way to get the blind landing on a front 3 is to look down at the tail of your board until you have ridden away clean. I find it easier to spot my tail and stay focused on that than looking back up the jump.
That can work. Also can depend on the size of jump and this would probably not work quite as well on bigger jumps.
5:41 knda made me go huh? but good advise thank u
5:40
No really it’s still funny this time too!
dude you know me :DDD
Props to old mate 5:40 out there gettin stoked
Brand of your Jacket?
Yeah man .
I mean the obvious problem for the stall out was that he is straight in the Air after the first 180 he needs to pull his knees up a little and it would be smooth the whole spot the landing thing is definitely the weirdest thing I've ever seen he stalled out even more on the last 360 lol he was like confused in the air.
Bruuuuh that guy ate it hard
When you watch this video without looking at comments that shit at 5:40 hilarious
Man my goodness @ 5:42 he let out that devil may cry grunt ⚰️⚰️⚰️
First thing i notice is him not looking away, his 3's are jerky because he stares at his landing until the last second
The bail XD
It's really difficult to rid such a mistake immediately though it's possible
