I'm here doing imaginary front boardslides in front of my computer, and it feels great the way Nev teaches them. Can't wait to try it on the hill this week!
Love these vids where you take others out. I can really put myself in their shoes and gain experience as if i was getting mentored by you. Keep these up!
Great vid... I am working on these as well and she is worried about slipping out.... that's what I think because it's hard to commit to the weight on front foot to get correct position when u don't have enough weight going down hill?
after watching couple of tuts videos, i built some confidence bring it to the box this season in NZ. It didnt start well though. I only got like 30' angle backside slide, and Coronet park seems to always be almost empty. However as i went to theRemarks, park has loads of riders and theres a few lads saw me and gave me tips on what I should fix to get to 90' angle slide. Thanks to them i managed to hit couple of good ones :D While its good to get yourself prep by watching tuts videos, its even better when someone is watching over you.
Never had the confidence to attempt a boardslide, but there have been so many good progression tips in this video, i'm ready to try and hit it next time i'm in park! THANK YOU!
Mannnn I wish I had you and your positive reinforcement as a teacher 😅 I've been half assed unintentionally doing front boards on a tube at my local mtn and I get so scared I'm gonna lose it and then somehow hold it (read: half assed) and come off wondering how I managed to not fall 😅 boardslides in general and street approach are my nemesis this season even though I know I can do it, your positive reinforcement style of coaching has me confident I can just send it and make it happen
One thing i never understood about new riders is that alot dont learn freeriding first learn side hits/jumps get the confidence n style then move to boxes cuz i see alot of noobs that barely know how to stand on the boards tryin rails n boxes 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♂️Its beyoooond me!🤣🤣
So i have some rails in my backyard made from metal and some made of pvc, and whenever i do a boardslide, my board somehow catches its edge on the feature, and i fall downhill. This usually isnt a problem when im doing a fakie out, but when i try to ride out normal, i always end up doing something wierd
i really love your tutorials a lot of help for me thanks for that. But i waswondering what is your boards flex rating 1 to 10 ? or what range it should be.
Been a huge fan of snowboard addiction videos for a long time now and I just have to admit.. Literally until today, I thought his name was Neil Blackwood hahahahaha
Is it just me or is a board slide significantly easier than a 50:50. In a board slide you have the whole board to stay on the rail with unlike the 50. That being said you don’t have to rotate to do a board slide.
Snowboard Addiction The girl in your video went straight to board slide which is what I did when I was learning as well. It’s really whatever makes you feel comfy but I know a lot of people who feel safer board sliding than trying to line up a 50 50. Great vids bro.
Southern Hemisphere still has snow on most mountains. Just did a day trip 2 days ago; although half of the runs were closed due to the lack of snow depth. Not sure about Canada though.
A one million dollar idea: an app with a drone that constantly watches your from above and that has all the the knowledge and voice that he has and that gives you advise while boarding :)
Sorry to hear about your wrist😢 i hope it heals up fast for you. practice at home take the steps to build up to it and im sure you will get it next time!
brah you gotta be more straight up with these people your training. straight up say" you gotta be in a full 90° angle them to be true front boards. those were not front boards. those were 30° 50 50s.
He's a snowboard instructor. This is how you instruct clients. Safety + Fun + Achievement = Stoke and return business. Bum your students and clients out about not being good enough, youn dont see them again and you've failed as an instructor. Our goal is to keep people on the snow. :)
As someone who works park crew, thank you for understanding and explaining that while you’re teaching, consider that it’s not your box! Let other ride it too lol. But I’d be pissed still if I rocked up to take that take off on saw the corners of the take off stomped in. Ik whis has optimal groomers but anywhere else
Nev is such a good teacher! Like everything he says is so knowledgeable and uplifting :)
Your content keeps getting better and better. Really digging it.

Dude, your videos are insanely educational! I'm wishing for 2 things right now:

- meeting/learning from guys like you, to learn
🤙🤞

Am I the only one that hears Neal Blackwood? At least that’s what it sounds like to an American. Love the content!
Great content and a really good video showing a trick that isn't too hard for average joe to learn. magic!
Yea my FB sux, think I gotta go back to basics and just get it down on a box before hitting rails, good tips though man!!
such a good coach

Nev will stickers be available for purchase? Or are they just goodies that come with a purchase on the website?
Thanks for the tips!!!

Great lesson, your videos really help me learn. More videos, less high fives...haha jk. High Five. Thanks for the great content.
Would be so sick to have a masterclass with Nev
She was at ur house the other day huh;) I see you Neil
he's such a nice guy
When was this filmed? There isn’t snow in late September 😂

Snowboard Addiction let me text Elon real quick
Is this whistler?
Nev teaching her to slide looked kinda cute. Usually Nev is pretty harsh with male riders.
nice video, enjoyed and learned something (even as an experienced snber)
👍
High five!! 😆
broke both wrists doing this trick xD
What's her name? Dommy? Tommy? Danny?
not even the parents know
I thought at the beginning that this anna gusser
haha. why do i see this now. i broke my wrist last thursday doing a fs bs
Sorry to hear about your wrist😢 i hope it heals up fast for you. practice at home take the steps to build up to it and im sure you will get it next time!
I’m afraid to fs boardslide on a rail and face plant and chip all my front teeth
Yoo
Hoi
Bro I’m confused!!! As a skater a frontside would have the front of your body facing the direction of your slide??? Besides that... Great work!!!
It's the same in skateboarding, you learned it wrong Caine
The hi 5s are awkward AF. Lol
kebim sam nah
Is front and back reversed in the UK?
I’ve been skateboarding since 96 and snowboarding since 97 but I’m pretty these are backside board slides
shoulda probably taught her 50's first
This is actually a backside boardslide, your going backwards on the rail.
brah you gotta be more straight up with these people your training. straight up say" you gotta be in a full 90° angle them to be true front boards. those were not front boards. those were 30° 50 50s.
You work the angle. This was her first time. You don't teach people that way, it's a progression. :)
@@cameronlukewilson281 I'm just being straight up bout it.
