    This bike has the WP XACT front forks, not the XPLOR. It’s the air fork.

    Thanks for the video! There is a new EFI map update available from KTM the dealer can install (map number ends in 104) and perhaps it will fix the mid range stutter on you test bike (I've got about 14 hours on my '23 300XC and have not experienced any mid range stutter issue). These bikes come with a Dunlop AT81 rear tire and the MX33 front tire. Keep us updated on the mid range stutter issue.

      I agree with you. I have a 2023 Husky TX300 with 20 hours on it and i have not experienced any midrange sputter or anything else. At least on my bike the mapping is perfect and the bike has no hesitation in any gear at any speed when hit the throttle. This is my two stroke dream bike i used to think about and would want out of a production motorcycle. Ive been riding dirt bikes since 1969 on a Honda Trail 50. Thanks for the Video😊

    KTM has been the only one saving the 2 stroke. If you listen to how much things they do at the pro racing level they are insane, theirs a reason they're ready to race

    I can’t say why bikes may be blowing up but I can say that warming up the engine completely before you ride is critical in preventing cold seizures.

    KTM has dominated GNCC, Hard Enduro, Dakar, and just about every form of off road racing for a couple almost 20 years now.
    They're leading the way in 2-stroke Fuel Injection technology.
    They are far from perfect, but kudos to KTM for their technological advances

    • @RacerRed

    This bike is a GNCC type race bike. Not a hard enduro or rock climber. The XC-W is for that... I have 8 hours on mine racing hare scrambles that are similar to GNCC and it is the best bike I've ever had. I'm coming from a 2019 350 XC-F

    • @RacerRed
      @RacerRed  Год назад +1

      It’s definitely an XC (cross-country) model. The issue in mid range and how it runs in general are across all models, though. The piston on this model has been reported to have exploded into pieces many times already. Not good for XC racing which is a lot of what I do.

  • @franklaw996

    Front tire isn’t an AT81. The reason KTM became more successful is two fold:
    1) as you say they have gained a lot of brand recognition in SX/MC through their success beginning in 2012 with Decoster and Dungey
    2) equally if not more importantly though is that unlike the Japanese (except Yamaha using an old design with new stickers), KTM still not only offers a wide range of 2 strokes but is continuously developing them. Most riders prefer 2 strokes because they are more fun to ride and are cheaper to maintain and for the average hobby rider its about fun!

I love the bike, best ever from KTM. EDIT: I went back in your vid and noticed you did have it in the green map. (Did you test the green map?) Can't wait to see when they have cooked up for the new W.

    • @RacerRed

      While aware of the two maps, i was not aware of which map I was using during this video though I’d assume it wouldn’t default to a map that retards the timing of spark. It’s still an issue if that’s the case. A bike should not default to a rain/B/white mode.
