Josh, you can just store the Nerd armor in your vehicle so you can bulk read magazines while raiding POIs and equip a combat oriented armor at the same time.

Kinda sucks that Jen is in the burnt biome, feels like she should either be in the Forest where everything is good, or in the Wasteland as a reward for making it that far (and because you're REALLY going to need her medical supplies in that place)
True, put rekt in the burnt forest for he is a burned out son of a cucumber.
The desert biome has aloe for her medical supplies. That's where I would set up shop to make a medical outpost.
It's typical unfun pimp thinking. There should be a settings toggle for random traders. Dumb that there isn't.
In the RWG world I'm playing, she's riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight at the far end of a massive city in the Wasteland, so definitely worth it haha. 6km line of sight from our forest base, but there's a mountain between us so its a hell of a journey

Honestly, I'm more excited to see Josh make a Mountain Base more than anything else right now, just knowing he's probably gonna make a tower with a 360 Balcony for the views.
Josh, the cabin you found is Professor Knowby's cabin from The Evil Dead 1 and 2 movies lol.
Just a heads up about running, if you hold "shift key" you will run until you let go of shift, if you tap the "shift key" it will toggle running on as by the icon next to the stamina bar, you will need to tap "shift key" again or stop moving to turn running off.
This also applies to vehicles.
The jump between t5 armor and t6 is huge. T5 Nerd Outfit gives 25% chance to skill up double, T6 has 50%. T5 Ranger hat gives a 10% trade bonus, T6 gives a 20% trade bonus. Getting the books to make T6 armor takes a long time, but its so worth it.
Enforcer googles and ranger gloves gives an insane bartering bonus, although is kind of late game unless you minmaxed armors and you were lucky with armor pieces and legendary parts
@@elduquecaradura1468 Keep an eye out for the Super Savage Country. T3 mission. Its got so many clothing loot bags. I came out of there with 22 armor and 2 legendary parts. Once you find it check the nearest Trader for T3/T4 quests.
Tertiary is the correct term! Also there is mods to unbind traders to their assigned biomes like it was before 1.0
@@moldetaco2281 Unfortunately based on interviews with TFP, they do not listen to their community in the slightest. Their mentality is that they're making the game they want to make and screw what the players want.
@@TheSilentScreamX This is probably one of the most cynical takes about TFP and 7DTD that's I've ever read. There are plenty of examples of changes that they have made based on player input. However, I don't expect ANY dev team to explicitly make changes based on player input. It would bad business practice because not every player wants the same thing. In the case of 7DTD, the game is highly moddable which enables them to make a base game that they feel is a great balance for the majority of players but allows customization for when a certain set of players want to play differently. There's nothing wrong with that.
TL;DR: stop bitching and mod the game the way you want to play.
I am telling you Jawoodle....TFP should have you on the payroll. You get so many people excited to play this game, including me.

trader lines cutting off has happened to me too but only for rekt really so i think i got the winning end of the stick
Weird how packmule feels like a worthwhile investment now. Also 100% agree that the traders are locked into biomes is not a great thing.
@@jimdob6528 that’s what mods are for. I don’t mind the locked biomes as there is no favorite trader for women. I run both a bigger backpack and stacking mod to make life less annoying.
The Knowbly cabin poi looks like a reference to Evil Dead. Iirc, it was owned by professor Knowby.

T6 armor gives a full double the bonus from the T5 versions, well worth the grind for the pieces you like.

The nerdy armor chest is very overpowered due to the way the game does progression. As a balance, they should move it's buff to the set bonus, so you can't craft one piece and read all the books. Quality 6 is a 50% chance for an extra point...
That view 😮. The fact that it now has mountain paths and it didn't before. They did an amazing job. I can't wait to find this in my game.
For some reason all the traders are mixed up on our server, though progression is still the same. We have Hugh, Jen and Rob in the pine biome. Rekt is down in the desert, but we have go to him to get the special opening route, then to Jen for the next opening route.

Imagine building not just a base, but a horde night base on that mountain top, that uses zombie dropper defenses to drop them several blocks over the cliff edge, to fall and slide to the bottom of the mountain...
Always check every business mail box, they are almost guaranteed to have at Least a feat book. Going into the inner city areas in each town can find you great sources of these, use them to mass farm books (additionally remember you can always read duplicate books for xp if full on junk
Tier 6 Nerd Outfit gives 50% chance for an extra point, I made one immediately when I could and wear it whenever I read any books.
Tier 6 armors generally do double the effect that the tier 5 did, unless its a direct line upgrade like fall reduction (i WISH that was the exponential), or the flat bonus (like the assassin silence), and the set bonus is based on your lowest tier

I agree, legendary items should definitely have tier specific effects. I also think that as you get higher in crafting every tier should grow its stats, making it so that each item has its own use and balance instead of early stuff just being junk. Perhaps the wooden bow scales off STR as well, while the compound maybe gets int? Or something else like that. And for the legendary effects, either they can do a single signature effect per tier, OR, perhaps each one can use a specific mod to be crafted with to give it a related effect, with each item taking that a different way (wooden + flaming ignites all arrows, compound + flaming makes fire arrows splash, compound crossbow + knockdown pins enemies to a block…)

If you are really in need of money early on and got a wrench, all the parts you get from wrenching lootable cars are quite good. Brass Radiator, Mechanical parts, Engine, Electrical parts, Pipes, Springs and polymer. i managed to buy a crucible at day 11 and grinded all of day 10 to afford it.

Josh is very close to chem station 45/50 and he will need also 4 or 5 acid (dont remeber). Im wonder what he'll do😏
The Judy Witch poi has a lot of chem piles. Also the mortician's house has a few green barrels to wrench if you have the wasteland treasures acid book.

Now that I am swanning around in my tier 6 armor, I can tell you the percentage on my tier 6 nerdy is a whopping 50% to get the extra points. Since I’m a dirty cheater and play with a bigger backpack, I just wear my assassin gear and swap out the chest when I want to read something.
Assassin gear is great for stealth, which is my play style. If you wake up a sleeper, they immediately lose track of you if you’re out of line of sight.
You know you can use the pipe pistol For discounts.

'Craft From Containers' + 'QuickStack' almost replaces Jen for things that fill my heart with joy. ...almost.
Tertiary is 3 yes- but its kind of come to mean 3 plus- the 3rd and any beyond 3rd are all thought of as tertiary - and there is no terms beyond 3.
Actually, there are terms beyond "Tertiary". It's all based on the base prefixes and such. "Quaternary" is fourth, "Quinary" I believe is fifth, sixth is "Senary", then seventh is "Septenary", eighth is "Octonary", ninth is "Nonary", and tenth is "Denary". These are pulled from both Greek and Latin, which is why they are confusing.
Treble = 3. Tertiary = 3rd. Darts is a good example here. "Your tertiary dart hit treble 20 to complete the 180, nice!"

First addon someone should make is untying traders from biomes
Nothing beats getting that first minibike. Its like omg fast traveling and enjoyment. Then you get a motorcycle and life becomes great
Started playing "update" 1.0 and I personally feel they've cracked it. Lot of the stuff I disliked is gone or simplified and lot of refinement.
Still areas like, "what repairs this", "Do I need Workstation to make this" are missing, but on the whole am loving it.
Looking forward to whatever Fun Pimps come up with next!
Advance warning Josh, Tier 3 infestation maybe surprise you on how crazy how many feral or even Rad zombies in that POI, please be aware and take necessary cautious for it.
Tier 6 doubles the bonus of the tier 5 armor. So the nerd outfit gives +50% chance to get an extra crafting point when reading a magazine.
You can get alot of legendary Parts from Savage Country, today in desert, about 80 in Loot stage I left with 9 Legenday parts and 19 Armor parts.
Trader Jen should totally be located on city areas since that's where all the medical supplies and stores are.
Like, where the hell is she getting med kits and antibiotics in a burned out forest?
Also, having the trader with the most medical supplies in the area with the most densely packed zombies just makes sense from a gameplay and story standpoint.

Yeah, i hate that they made the previously equivalent bows and crossbows uneven (they should be equal but different) i also hate that, unlike all other types of things where the iron tier takes just ingot tier materials, bows require parts.
Maybe in a future series You could take ALL the nice things from elsewhere on the map to “terraform “ The Burnt Biome for Jen so She doesn’t have to live such a bleak existence ❤️🩹 Come on Josh! You could totally be Her Hero 🦸🏻♂️

btw, they seem to have broken the awesome sauce, currently sugar butts and awesome sauce give the same barter bonus, while the sugar butts last twice as long and cost 1/5th the price.

I feel like TFP should intentionally plan the seeds that correspond to the version ( "1.0") and add in easter eggs since there's a higher chance people will be using that one.
it might be a video recording software cutting out the sound of the video game based issue. other idea is to check is to check the sound level quality in both game and the recording software area if its too low with movement with load of assets combined, might cause it so, i think it game it cause hick ups in game the lag cause sound cut is possible. try reducing demand of one setting say stubs or lower see distance as ways in game try if the issue goes away.
I edited my map so that there 1 of Bob, Hugh and Joel and the rest of the traders are Jen. There's a Jen in each biome and I like to think she's got a nurse joy/identical sisters thing going on.
The trader lines cutting off happens to me as well.
Also5if you scrap stuff with your inventory full your guy won actually scrap the items so you can probably scrounge up 3-4 extra slots. Just remember to stop scrapping everything before you empty your inventory
what? I took the same building at the beginning as my Base :D I just placed differently my stuff and it was bad, but it stay as it is :) I like your tips by the way. I'll build your Stairway to Heaven Horde Base soon ;)
how do you empty the forge so you can take it? I smelted iron and clay but I cannot empty it.
When you say that it is nice to have the largest town in the wasteland because that is where the Nukes would hit, I disagree, nukes would normally hit where military strategic places are ex: military production centers or bases. Not every large towns would be hit
I don't particularly appreciate having large towns only in the wasteland biome. If I want to make my home base at the top of a large tower I need to make it in the most depressing biome.

i would love to see traders get a schedule. so at night they would go to bed and stare at the ceiling which you could watch if you had god mode on. it jumps to 50% the doubling chance at T6.

Woodle, just in case this helps, when you cleared out your 7 Days install, did you also empty the files that are in your AppData folder? Just be sure not to delete the saves and world gen files that are stored there. I have no idea if it might help, but it's an idea to try, at least.

You can wrench street lights for steel. I think the level 6 Nerd Armor jumps to 50%. Can't you highlight a crafting item and it will show them if you come near them or is that only for quest items?

I think it would be better if the only traders that were locked are the ones that special jobs send you to. Otherwise the rest of the traders in the biome would be random.
