I think they said it reminded them of a Strokes style song and they wanted to cover it. Definitely getting Strokes vibes from it.

It sounds quite a lot like a Albert Hammond Jr. type of song as well...Which often sounds a lot like The Strokes. ; D

This was cool. Really liked what they did with the strings near the end of the second verse. Loved seeing all the different instruments coming together. The bells, the xylophone! Very talented.

They won a Grammy for Album of the year with The Suburbs, Brit Awards foreign album of the year, got tons of nominations worldwide, their debut album Funeral is considered one of the best of the 2000s... No music noob here except you maybe not knowing about this band 😝 but it's never too late.

Having Arcade Fire cover your song is an honour but at the same time you need to be ok with the fact that it's their song now.

The original is great, but this one is incredible. I love how Arcade Fire they made it sound.

The drummer does a fantastic job on that track. Pretty good cover altogether.
Jeremy Gara is one of the most underrated drummers around. the power and precision he has is very special.
I’m floored by this. Been an arcade fire fan since like 2003. And I really do love Harry styles whole vibe a lot. So this is hitting a spot I didn’t know even existed

I'm a guy who grew up listening to metal, over the years I opened up to other styles, I learned to value and love pop. Having said that, I must say that this cover has an impressive quality, it is harmonious, delicate, but powerful, it respects the essence of the original version, but gives it its own stamp. masterly. Congratulations friends of Arcade Fire.

Being under 25 and hearing this reminds me of the feeling of joy you see your parents experiencing in concert photos, like an unknown nostalgia of hearing something after you've grown older & had a family and then going to a reunion concert with your kids, enjoying and reliving those moments 💕✨
When I heard this song for the firt time, I felt something familiar with the Arcade Fire's music - especially by the Suburbs album and "Ready to Start" chords.
Watch this cover just made 100% sense to me and fits perfectly to the band as an old sweater.

band,You'll r so talanted with your instruments n your beats r so accurate. I like the way the song was sung "As it was" by the artist his voice was awsome.

Whoda thunk, shortly before Arcade Fire won Album of the Year at the 2011 Grammy's for The Suburbs, a young Harry Styles was audiioning for Series 7 of X Factor in the UK. 12 years later and here's Arcade Fire covering Harry's song not long before he then took home the Grammy for Album of the Year himself for this very album.
