In the Final Mix cutscene in 2, Xigbar reveals he recruited Marluxia. Him implanting Traitors to make the first Organization fail, (because he knows Lauriam and what he wanted).
I do believe he wanted the org to fail, but I think his actions onscreen don’t support him wanting to betray xemnas. I watched the cutscene do you know the dialogue used he definitely doesn’t say traitor. Marluxia was in both orgs and that didn’t seem to bother him
@@ImR1der Xigbar role is Traitor.. All the Xehanorts are his scapegoat. And Xigbar's constantly hints Nobodies have Heart despite what Xemnas said. So, Xigbar is constantly planting Seeds. It explained in Marluxia/Lauriam's character file that They never trusted Xemnas from the beginning. He wonders if someone with a greater plan send him to Castle Oblivion. He then speculates" if someone could predict the future, this might be the World they would have predicted." but He (Lauriam) wouldn't abide that future, and that might be why he became a Nobody. And It is implied Xigbar made him into a Nobody.
Got it, I thought you were trying to say he said the word traitor in that cutscene. Luxu is definitely trying to make his version of events play out, and I think your connection is spot on.
Something that was said at the end of the video caught my attention. Does that mean that all the nobodies from distant times went back to quadratum? Because lexaeus and zexion aka ienzo and aeleus are in modern times helping sora
That moment when you realize that when Xigbar was "dying" in KH3 he left his arrowguns behind. Symbolizing that from here on out he is Xigbar/Braig no more. Since the next time we see him, he reveals his true identity.
@@jacobweatherford4696 no he isn't, obito was brought back to life and then somewhat tricked into servering the villian of naruto, braig was possossed and then luxu was following more of the plan.
@@10tailedbijuu in a way he is as they both act for some bigger authority (Mom/Madara), and they both are the funny guys hiding behind a fake name inside of an edgy organization, both waiting for what will come after it.
Actually, Xigbar freaks out during Sora "My friends..." in Dream Drop because he just realized that Sora and Riku are the Child of Destiny. He is afraid because he realized the Master of Masters was right. All Luxu's "betrayals" were scripted by the Master from the get go, and he got played. This is why , despite not have that Book now, in KH3, he know exactly what Sora and Riku are going to do. He has accepted Destiny.
I didn’t think about it from this angle, and I like it. Although how would Xigbar know who the child of destiny is. It makes sense for Luxu to know. In my opinion I’d still call this a luxu exposing himself
Luxu isn't supposed to know about the Child of Destiny, because The Master of Master intentionally didn't give him a Book of Prophecies. But it is implied by Data Xehanort in the Re Mind battle that Xehanort at least read part of the Book. Data Master Xehanort : "This isn't what was written". The reason Luxu knows is because Luxu is playing the Role of Traitor, and therefore, probably looked in Brain's Book. So it doesn't make sense for Luxu to know, unless he cheated.
That’s a fair guess, it makes sense he was curious. I guess we will have to wait and see if this is how Nomura plays it off. Thanks for the perspective.
@@ImR1der "may your heart be your guiding Key". The phrase itself is a manipulation, because.... the Master of Master's can read Hearts. He can "Look inside" as he instructs Xehanort to do. And therefore, The Master can read Luxu's want to betray, and assigned him the Sigils of Rebellion (X). If I know your Soul's Desires before even you do, I can manipulate you even if I am not physically there the whole time.
Luxu is almost like the Revolver Ocelot of Kingdom Hearts: -Both use guns as their main weapon -Both are always close to the main antagonist -Both have secret agendas -and they play both sides to achieve their own goal
What's really insane about Luxu is that he's spent an untold number of years perfecting his craft. To the point, that when he does break character, it's a shock for anyone keen enough to see. It's almost like he's pulling off a gruff Master of Masters skit - especially with all the exaggerated movements he employs.
I still think the reason "My friends are my power" scared Luxu so much was because its a way of thinking that is completely opposite both what he and the MoM does. They manipulate everyone around them for their goals, while Sora acts as an anchor that unites people for a common goal. A goal that he likely doesn't want to see happen
I always thought he was so triggered by that like because he realized the actual Child of Destiny was Sora and not Xehanort, which means the MoM had already planned his betrayals and screwed him over too.
As an adult now, some of xigbars words hit way harder. Hercules told Xigbar that he was able to save megs life by being ready to give up his own. And Xigbar reminded him that the only reason it worked out was because he's the child of a God and for regular people that wouldn't have ever worked out because they don't have those ties. And then after being defeated in kh3 he says "if i had a keyblade it would be different" which reminds me of being a person in power/having personal ties to the winning team and that most people in the world don't have that. Most people in this world won't be a Sora or his friends, they will most likely be a nobody.
It make sense to me as Luxu might be the foreteller who feels the less "special" to me, he didn't had a key blade of his own, no book of prophecies and his role might be resumed as "watching without intervening", and he didn't even had a design of his own as he just looks like the Master of Masters. But in the bigger picture every foreteller just seems like a tool devoid of free will or even choice, it just look like the others will be remembered as the Union leaders. Of course I might be totally wrong and Luxu was meaning stuff like "I can take all the risk I want while fullfiling my role, because in the end the Master will probably reapper and I already know my role has been succeeded as the Book already exist". You never know with Nomura
Luxu is by far one of my favorite characters in the KH series. I know he is thousands of years old with the many bodies he lived in, time does change us. It makes me feel bad for him of laying in the shadows to fulfilling his role given to him by MOM, eveb during Dream Drop Distance when Sora said my friends are my power, he got shocked and scared, it reminded him of who he once was that he misses so much: his Foreteller friends.
I could be wrong but I think Luxu knows everybody except Demyx and Luxord, but there's theories based on the fact that Demyx's reports says he was hanging with the "old guy". Xigbar is not young, so it may be him that demyx was talking about. Maybe Luxu was trying to figure demyx out in order to narrow things down a bit
@@ImR1der my theory: Demyx IS the MoM. They have simular mannerisms, we don't know much about either, and Demyx was connected to the Keyblade war, as were Marluxia and Larxene. This would explain why Demyx doesn't fight much, he's an observer to his plan.
What's interesting to think about is that Luxu was there to watch Ventus when he was a Union Leader, even paying particular attention to Ven because he wasn't meant to be a Union Leader. While it's no mutual, he knows Ven very well, better than Ven knows himself. So that could be why he singled out Ven, Xion, and Sora with the "angry look" comment and subtle hints about prior Keyblade Wielders. He could be prodding their Memories and Hearts for some kind of reaction related to Ven's time as a Union Leader. It's also probably why he sees Ven when he looked at Xion. Xion was at the point where her appearance reflected the part of Sora's heart that resonated most with them, and considering Luxu has known Ventus for centuries, it makes sense that Ven was who he saw. Speaking of Memories, I wonder if Namine will ever restore or reawaken Ven's lost memories. If not Namine, then maybe his Chirithy.
I like the quote in game that he says when you defeat him in kh2. In game, when the action stops, the level up message pops up, but before the cuts scene. He says: I LOST?! ME?!
"Luxord, if you will, takes one to no one." Two out of place agents with their own missions both in the Organization. It really shouldn't be surprising that it was Lux who caught Lu first.
While it's safe to say none of these were planned (except obviously the one in KH3 and *maybe* the one in Dream Drop), it is interesting to see that Luxu does fit in as part of Xigbar's quirks.
Nomura obviously doesn’t have it all planned out decades in advance, although he did say he had idea for Xigbar back in kh2. He just didn’t get a chance to flesh it out. I think these little references were his way of hoping it would happen
It WAS planned since kh1... Ansem report 12 is referencing strange heart from braig that do not transform into a heartless... Kh3d then gave us the scene when xehanort tries to transform braig... And we know that luxu has a heart strong enough to possess other body like xehanort.
Luxu/Xigbar are so convoluted and diabolical, it hurts! But what I love so much about them is he makes it look like he's having so much fun. Not particularly the journey he takes, but the act of manipulating others. He has a gift for it. He's like the anime character that knows everything that will happen, right, so he just does whatever he wants, because he knows what to say and what to do to get it. Well...except in Sora's case. I guess he underestimates him or something? Still not too sure. But all in all, great stuff!
I wonder if Luxu also recognized Ventus as one of the plays Ava made to throw MoM’s ploy, not just during his time during BBS. So he prob remembered him since all the way back in KHUX.
100 years? The age at which Ephemer died is considered an advanced age, plus the age of the player from missing link to DR and plus the age at which Xehanort died. Luxu has been hiding its age for more than 300 years.
I believe that Zexion also had his suspicions about Xigbar considering that one scene in KH2FM with the organization’s past. Zexion’s a sharp one, so I believe he also suspected something was off with Xigbar at the time.
Zexion definitely knew more than he showed, especially considering Axel had him killed in Chain of Memories because he had realised his plan to make Saïx climb the ranks to become Xemnas' right-hand-man (and also because he was VI in the Organisation and Saïx was VII). I always viewed that scene as Xigbar/Luxu making sure Zexion didn't know "too" much of his true plan and of Xemnas being secretly looking for Ventus (and him having part of Terra's memories).
6:40 I believe that Luxu wasn't expecting Sora's words get to him because it leads the whole "Why am I doing this for" kind of thoughts. But I got to admit that part where Xemnas looking a little smug after that speech, I just love it. If anything, Xemnas might not have trust Xigbar all that much. In fact, I believe the MoM chose Xehanort to start his path. Maybe Xehanort/Xemnas, Sora, and Luxord are the only people that Luxu can't predict. This leads to my thoughts on Xemnas gathering those 4 Organization members. When Xigbar and Luxord were talking about the box, Xigibar figured out Luxord went to Xemnas first before confronting him. I don't think he anticipated someone seeing through his BS. That leads to Xemnas getting Marluxia, Larxene, Demyx and Luxord to unlock their memories. He doesn't know about the ancient Keyblade War from Xigbar, at least not all of it. No, the info he got it by his Master, the info when Young Xehanort went to the future but it was etched into his heart and the MoM. Luxu played a part to watch Xehanort and his Keyblade, nothing more. Like Master Xehanort said "Destiny is never left to chance." In that vain, Xemnas didn't want Xigbar's plans mess with his resolve as well as Sora's. In other words, Luxu doesn't want Sora back but Master Xehanort does. He trust himself more than Xigbar.
@@ImR1der luxu didn't believe sora is the chosen one to be star of destiny but in The end he realize he was Wrong not only Those who have bloodline can become keyblade if normal have strong heart like sora Mickey Roxas and xion can have one He give good advice to sora that sacrifice it's Not worthit is only make you pay for your actions and suffering and pain and there are limits of heart when they connected some of Those Hearts end up Breaking sora need to use new power and accept it
@@ImR1derIf he thinks they have to reach one certain point, then sure he might just give him a nudge towards it. Faster the end comes, the faster he gets out of the chains himself. Game if poker and he just knows the cards and the play, but also knows that he can't dunk on them through this deck... so better just ease out the game so that next deck comes.
I always find it funny everyone from Sora's party think Xigbar is unworthy of the keyblade while Xehanort is busy using MoM's keyblade that was handed down to Luxu.
A cool idea I have for a fight against Luxu in future KH games; since Axel, after getting a keyblade, can use both his chakrams and his keyblade... why can't Luxu do the same? Imagine that, holding a keyblade over his should in one hand and one of his guns in the other, combining deadly close-ranged attacks and tricky attacks from afar to catch you off guard... I'm also willing to bet that the Master's keyblade is capable of something that only Luxu and the Master himself knows about that he would probably use in the fight too.
Given that this is Luxu we're talking about here, one of the chosen apprentices of the Master of Masters, and someone with significant skills with the Keyblade, they'd probably give him capabilities similar to those of the Lingering Will, and make it so he could change his Keyblade into his iconic blasters.....among other weapons.
I also love that when he talk about soemone without naming him, what he say can talk about 2 different person and make sense both way. The last one for example: "the old coot promised to bequeath me his". This line make sens if he talk about the "Braig / Xehanort" relationship, with the deal between them beiing the keyblade. But also relate to Luxu/MoM deal about the black box.
That squint at 5:27 is definitely in retaliation to calling the keyblade the most ancient of them all. Now knowing what we do now, seeing as Xehanorts Keyblade is actually luxu's that high school was most likely him saying "are you calling me old?"
"this man revealed himself" re kh2 scene - bologna. he was obviously taunting Sora by referencing Roxas, like every other org member had. I don't believe for a moment that Luxu, the Foretellers, or the Master of Master were even a twinkle in Nomura's eye when that scene was written.
I love going back to theories about Luxu. I always told people before KH3 came out that Xigbar knew too much, and he has to have a bigger motive within the game. One thing I think is a possibility, Luxord's trump card he gave to Sora has to do with Luxu or the box. We still don't even know if Luxu simply transfers his soul to a new body, like he did with Brain, or if Xigbar is just an older version of Brain.
One of the kh reports infers Luxu gave brain the keyblade as that was his role, and then went keybladeless into the sunset observing. New video today talking about this. We also know that luxu gets a vessel named Bragi in dark road
Late but Xigbar is not Brain's body. Brain's body was tossed aside and reformed. Luxu made a deal with Brain to carry his hat into the future as the medium with which Brain can reform, after becoming just a heart and traveling through time. It's heavily implied Brain then creates a bloodline that leads to Eraquis. By that point Luxu had transitioned to taking over Bragi, who despite a similar name, looks nothing like Braig.
He was always a personal favorite adversary in the games for me, so now knowing his role makes me wonder, how much has he been holding back in all of his fights. I hope if we confront him again, he still have a similar fighting style, but more extreme. He was always fun no matter which you fight.
I remember my fights with "Unknown" (Young Xehanort) in _Birth By Sleep._ I get the nasty feeling that now that Luxu has dropped the mantle of Braig/Xigbar, revealed himself to be who he really is and has taken up the Master of Masters' Keyblade as his own, he's going to make people wish they could fight "Unknown (Young Xehanort) instead!
... nomura revelead in a interview that xigbar being luxus was a after thought, so no ... the scenes from him before don't show anything, cause nomura himself had thought anything yet.
It’s not very big for sure, Nomura mentioned years back before we had this many mobile games it was something like 100 years, 180-200 is more fitting than the 100. We’re definitely not talking about thousands
This theory relies a lot on luxu always being braig from the first time we met him however there is no evidence of such. The only change we see in briag was in bbs when his eyes went from brown to yellow. Most players assumed he was norted but that could also be where luxu actually became involved. Remember as of now we have no def timeline on when luxu became braig or if we ever had a braig to begin with.
This is not a theory this is how it went down. Xigbar in KH3 says "Figures It would have been different if I had a keyblade", then continues to say "The old man promised to pass his down to me, why else would I go along with his nonsense", and finally "Oh Im worthy to wield one", he teleports and pretends to kill fall to his death. He went along with Xehanort from the beginning to get his key blade back, as well as to finish his role of getting xehanort where he needs to be in order to lose and get No Name back in his hands. Then he can bring the master of masters back so he can meet sora in quadratum. The Luxu reports also give us the info we need, to know this is true.
I am sorry i didn't realize you are on the writing team to make the claim it definitely is so. The luxu reports do not give def timelines on when he took over braig/xigbar. Additionally kh3 is the first definitive signs of xigbar acting strange. His other behaviors would be in line with braig being just braig as he would make reference to bbs stuff which he was involved in. The only odd behavior other than kh3 would be after he was turned into xigbar as braig would know about terranort which also would mean luxu was not braig during bbs as he would also know about terranort. So luxu could have even taken over xigbar and not braig for all we know. So these are all theories until more story comes out.
Nomura does this stuff all the time he leaves vague pieces of info that on the surface man nothing, until plot is later revealed. After kh3 came out he had a quote talking about how he wanted to flesh the Org members out, but he didn’t have time. Most of them have been fleshed out. Luxord is also extremely odd. Nomura mentioned he wanted to do this with Braig since the development of kh2, whitch is why he has so many odd moments. Why would braig help Xehanort, why would he play dumb about keyblade wielders in bbs and kh2, again in this video he admits he has his own plans in coded. In kh3 he lies about orders to try and get the box. One of his Luxu reveals is from a guy literally named Bragi bro. No offense, but I think you are in the minority here thinking that this all means nothing.
Not saying it means nothing i am saying its too early to make definitive statements. Nomura has also spent a large chunk of the series filling plot holes as a a result of retroactively flushing out characters. Not to mention the whole union x storyline is still playing out with dark road now finished and missing link still to come out. I know going back after the reveal can make is seem like it was always there but lore timelines aside these games were written and released without clear story lines for future games in place. I have done multiple playthroughs of the series since 3 with the exception of MoM which i did look into the story elements. Just saying until nomura has directly stated something as fact or it is revealed in a game or associated media then better to not take things as definitive evidence for now.
When Luxu talked to Ventus and said he wasn't a true keyblade master but he does have the look down I think he was referring back to the Keyblade War Ventus as he probably had more skill then current Ventus.
I like the part where He says "Gee...I just don't know...." with an exaggerated pose. I think that one should've been included in the list. the way he says it and his sarcastic pose heavily implies his knowledge on everything going on as if he's trying to get Sora to put 2 and 2 together.
So, I actually don't think Braig was Luxu'd when he first encountered Terra. I think it happens sometime when he's in recovery after taking the dark fire to the face. Why? Because when Aqua questions who is is when he shows up in the Keyblade GY, he smirks and the camera zooms to focus on his good eye. Also in dream drop, when Sora has his little talk with Xigbar, he claims that "[He's] already half Xehanort." Meaning that he's half something else. Someone else's heart is there and it's certainly not Braig's. There's probably more, but those are the two big ones that come to mind.
The furthest back we have as confirmation is in kh3 report 5 and 6 where we find out that subject X was taken by a man with an eye patch. It at the very least implies your correct. Personally I think he was Luxu before as well. We don’t have confirmation on that yet!
Braig is Luxu from the first time Terra meets him . The Eye zoom is to show "Braig" has taken on a piece of Xehanort"s Dark Heart and he contains more Darkness. In the Secret Report, Luxu mention that to get involved with Xehanort he must pretend "to be a fool desirous of the Keyblade." This deal happens before Terra even meets "Braig" and that is the ruse he uses for justification about why he "captured" Master Xehanort. Also, certain quotes before and after the Terra fight like " For a Keyblade Master, you're not-what is the word- good" or "What's a scratch on my face, all things considered".
Dark Road essentially confirms Braig has ALWAYS been Luxu. Because the personality Braig has even in his first appearance in BBS is the personality Luxu had as Bragi in Dark Road.
That’s fair, we can date luxu 100% to the events of everything past bbs. Body language says a lot about a person. The reason I pointed out a lot of it, is because of he reacts to important plot points. Even tho we don’t know when he became Luxu based off the dialogue when defeated in kh3, I personally believe braig has been luxu at least to the beginning of bbs
6:30 I think this scene speaks more than just that Xigbar/Luxu is afraid of what he's hearing. According to him, Sora shouldn't be as powerful as he is because the Keyblade didn't choose him, he was just the Keyblade's backup plan when Riku was tainted by darkness. But the connections that Sora has made make him stronger than Xibar/Luxu could imagine. Xigbar/Luxu is a man who has lived for well over a century, and was the apprentice of the guy who literally wrote the book on hearts, keyblades, and the worlds themselves. To Xigbar/Luxu, Sora is a complete anomaly, someone who just should not exist. And it speaks volumes to Sora's pure nature that his very existence is able to throw him through a loop like that.
I'm more curious about Luxord and Demyx though. In KH3 it was mentioned they were chosen to be brought back to the new Organisation due to their involvement in the Union X storyline. We know who Marluxia and Larxene truly are from Union X but we saw no Luxord and Demyx. Also curious as to what happened to Brain and Skuld.
I genuinely still hope they make the memes canon. Demyx as the master of masters would be pretty amazing and well, yeah "Luxord wasn't in COM because he would be too op", of course, this potential connection is not infact irrelevant. The power of cards originally came from KH-chi.
@@lpfan4491 The entire Castle Oblivion operation was a trap by Saïx to screw over the potential traitors and remove those whose positions were an obstacle to him (because he was planning to climb the ranx to get close to Xemnas) and have Axel kill them because he was there too. Zexion and Lexaeus were most likely there to look for the Chamber of Awakening because Terra's memories inside Xemnas wanted to find Ventus. I don't think Luxord would've been of any help in the castle, since he was lower in the hierarchy than Saïx and wasn't a traitor.
@@dinorex3464 Except they were running stuff in the Castle even before that and Saix had no reason to specifically set up a no power-zone to make people play cards.
What I just realized that he's the master of Xehanort and Eraquis, which means he was able to reincarnate somehow, and Xehanort tried the same by taking over Terras body. So does this mean he took over other people's bodies, too?
@@ImR1der I loved it. It brought things to light I hadn’t realized. I’ll be right here supporting a fellow warrior of light. 🙂 keep up the amazing work.
There is a scene where Xigbar is talking to Zexion in KH2 (which took place before to KH1's events) re-watching it after both KH3 AND Dark Road has made it see it in a totally new perspective. Looking back at it now, Xigbar was most likely lurking Zexion into a trap, trying to find out if he or any other member could be 2nd "Baldr", observing Xehanort's nobody as he acts while looking for any darkness being that might interfere in the most critical situation, one that allows Xigbar/Luxu to finish his role and get back the "No-Name" keyblade sooner than ever. He already experienced stuff, in "Union x" - "Missing-Link" - "Dark Road", he's not gonna sit back this time until he makes sure everything is going according to plan. I also can't get over the fact that it was HIM to brought Marluxia into the organization, makes me wonder what he planned by that move.
Xigbar is my favorite Org member wven beating Xemnas who has the best bossfight in KH history in my opinion. The reveal of him being luxu made him even more exciting to me wvwn though it can be seen as a after thought and wasnt even planned from the beginning. But it made in a retrospective view the scene in BBS kinda funny as Xehanort holds the Keyblade to his neck that technically is Xigbar/Luxu keyblade.
Throughout KH II and Dream Drop, Xigbar always gave me a weird feeling. Like he knew way more than he was letting on. And I don’t mean just about the big bad’s plans. He always felt… out of place in a way. Like he knew something nobody else did. Now we know what that was.
it's just crazy that at the time of all these scenes nobody thought anything of it until we got Luxu plot drop then everyone was like hold up did these mean something actually?
With how many weird scenes Xigbar had I am suprised no one thought he was acting strange until it was revealed he was Luxu. Especially in KH3 when he said he is worthy of a keyblade and in the other games when he talks about how Ventus and Sora respectively already have the look of keyblade wielders. Pretty strange things to say when he apparently doesn't have a keyblade
Even before he fights terra, he points out that he has a keyblade. He had already met the one who would reenact the war. Kh3 reports allows us to know he needed to stay with Xehanort to get no name back.
I bet everytime Luxu just looked at Xehanort who possessed Terra, he was just thinking, "Man, if i had my keyblade, I'd be beating the hell out of him for taking my eye."
You definitely missed his biggest tell to the audience, the utterance of "May your heart be your guiding key." Aqua notes in 0.2 that the phrase is ancient and has long fallen out of use, and Mickey tells her that he heard it from Yen Sid, who we have no feasible fix on the age of, but if he knows it, and repeats it often, then it had to have still been in favor as late as Scala ad Caelum's height. Xigbar's use of the phrase is a dead giveaway that his knowledge of the Age of Fairytales goes beyond just knowing about the Keyblade War.
I have a question about Luxu. Several question actually, but that can be summarized into that one: How does his reincarnation thing work? I recall Union X ending says Brain was his first reincarnation, but Brain was his own person before that, right? Is it the case for each of his reincarnations, and each time he empersonates them? When, how and why does he choose his next vessel? What becomes of the vessel once Luxu takes them, do they still exist, are they fused with Luxu, or do they just die? What does it imply for Luxu's character and evolution? Will it have consequences in a future plot twist? Will we see Luxu have to get a new vessel later in the story? I just went from confusion to hype in my curiosity... So, do someone want or can answer or discuss these questions?
A lot of this we don’t know. At the end of union X it appears brain is the next vessel, the secret reports don’t seem to agree with that tho, only that he passed down no name and gave him the box. That’s why he doesn’t know where it is in kh3. We probably won’t see another vessel (not to say it’s impossible) , the reports seem to confirm he has a last one and that Xigbar is that vessel more than likely. The rest of that we don’t know for sure
@@ImR1der Brain was his next vessel. The reports in KH3 were intentionally vague to avoid spoiling the end of UX which wasn't done yet. Luxu took Brain's body and allowed Brain to travel as a heart to the future, where he'd get his body back using his hat as a medium (Luxu did the nice thing and kept it safe for him). By that point Luxu has gone on to new bodies, ending up in Bragi's.
3:55 I do have a theory on why Xigbar spesifically sees Ventus from all people: Ventus was the one who "physically" killed Strelitzia, regardless if he was posessed or not, later in the game we see her talking with Lauriam in a white coat, next scene is a Chirithy saying that he saw 2 coated guys (black and white) passing together, lastly Luxu puts someone with a white cover or coat in a pod, combining all that together it must have been Strelitzia. He acted to save the "True Dandilan", the same dandilan who most likely was replaced by "Ventus" thanks to darkness's interfering. I also have another theory that might be connected. In KH3 we learn that all of Demyx, Luxord, Marluxia, and Larxene are all connected to what is called "the Ancient Keyblade Legacy", THAT is part of the reason why Xehanort brought them back to the organization. But wait, who was gonna fill the seat of the 13th member at the end DDD originally? It was "Sora", a.k.a. "Roxas's somebody", who at the same time has Ventus's heart within him. Don't forget that Riku was the initial candidate to be the 13th member as back then no one knew where Ventus's heart is, but THE moment Roxas was born, Xemnas took no time into locate and recruit Roxas to become the 13th member, a nobody who has the physical body of Ventus, a nobody that can be used to allow Xion to absorb any memory related to Ventus she could find had she got enough time. Now where all this fall? What if the actual number of those connected to the "Ancient Keyblade Legacy" was actually the whole time 5 and not 4? That makes it "Demyx - Luxord - Marluxia - Larxene - Roxas/Ventus". That can explain why Sora was chosen to be a Xehanort vessel (which I wish it happened). Those 5 characters, what could have connect them to that legacy? A legacy that might have been "Forgotten"? In a forgotten era? Could "Missing-Link" has something to do with the 5? As Luxu was clearly in that era as we saw in the trailers, so if my theory is correct that means that Luxu have met or saw Ventus at some point in Missing-link due to time travel (Brain DOES exist in that era so he already have the 'memories' of his friends). Luxu/Xigbar got to observe Ventus and his actions in "Union x" and "Missing-Link", giving that he was the physical body that killed Strelitzia who could be the true dandilion, with the fact that a true darkness has resided inside Ventus, AND Roxas's existence in the organization has triggered the memories, no wonder Xigbar Xion as Ventus, and his words "from all the faces", that could mean that he knows a lot about Ventus, more than anyone else.
Honestly how much strange was for xigbar to being on the same organization with vanitas? And it even make sense why they two never interacted he probably still have some bias with these Darkness after the events of union x
Kingdom Hearts has a surprising amount of storytelling techniques commonly used in mature (actual mature, not modern definition) fiction…especially considering the surface theme is kids vs adults
You forgot one When you defeat xigbar in kh2 and the slow motion affects the screen before the cinematic enters, xigbar says: I LOST?! ME?! That was back in 2006, and made me think xigbar was bigger than he looks like.
Bragi happened. As Bragi, Luxu had to learn to be aloof to fit in with the childish, eccentric keyblade wielders of Scala ad Caelum. Stuck with him, perhaps Bragi was the longest he spent in one form before Braig.
Kingdom Hearts is gonna be Naruto at this point MoM = Tobi/Obito, he's gonna be a controversial character that divides the fanbase trying to unravel his identity and his real identity is gonna end up being someone wild as hell like Demyx Luxu = Black Zetsu, has his own intentions that are (probably) bigger than the MoM, but for now just an observer. (unrelated) Xehanort = Pain/Nagato, he's the way he is because of trauma in his younger life also there's several versions of him acting as a unit
Warning: long text analysis I am assuming a "generation" is 25 years on average, but it could vary by a like 5 or 10 years. Nomura has *only* said that Missing Link is roughly "four generations" past Ephemer's time, which is about 100 years. Now, there is an undisclosed amount of time past that point and to Dark Road, a year later and then like 74 years (this number is from Remind) pass that until KH3. The robed figure is [assumed] to be the player in Missing Link, who is teenager/young adult. Then it seems decades pass until they're close to the end of their life span until Xehanort is born at Scala. Xehanort is born, and then moved to Destiny Islands. Note, it is unknown how much time passed since Xehanort left Scala and returned. This is because the architecture of Scala had been "gothic" for like a century, and in Dark Road it's entirely different (white). A lot of time has passed since Destiny Islands has a faster time scale than Scala. Eraqus's grandfather is theorised to be Brain, who appears in Missing Link, so that puts it 2 generations past Missing Link (approx 50 years). Since Xehanort grew up to be a teen within this time, that means Destiny Islands is slower than Scala by like 3 times. So at least 150 years between the Keyblade War and DR. Important Note: in the first version of Dark Road, it's said that Ephemer is Xehanort's "great-great grandfather", however an update *removed* this line so thus it is no longer canon. This would imply that DR is four generations (100 years) past KHUX, which is definitely wrong and thus removed for good reason. It now just says "you share a blood-line with a renowned keyblade wielder". Now, after Xehanort meets with the MoM 1 year after DR, confirmed to literally be 74 years before KH3, that means a rough estimate between the KHUX Keyblade War and the time of KH3 is approximately *225* years, almost 9 generations (do note that the exact number of a "generation" is not standardised). This is still shorter than I expected, so it's less akin to ancient history and more like classical history.
Wait a second i just realize. Luxu always sees the same face when he looks at Sora and his counterparts. What face does he see ? "Who" always looked at him like that when angry ? Who is relevant enough for Luxu that said face is that relevant and memorable for him ? What if Sora really is the reincarnation of the Master of Masters ? Luxu is the only one who knows his face after all. And everything Luxu did leads back to Sora. The whole "face thing" seems like foreshadowing. Sora must be someone Luxu knows very well.
Replaying KH3 on Steam, I never had the Remind DLC on Xbox so I don't know if that's part of the DLC or always been there but Luxu says after you Mount Olympus, he says, "Let your heart be your guiding key"
And without being caught by anyone that person had known at the time cause surely someone would notice a change in personality but if not he must watch that person a lot to learn about them before taking over who knows
Because lexaeus and zexion aka ienzo and aeleus are in modern times helping sora
wonder if he did the same with Larxene too
"Like you're worthy to wield one."
"Oh, I am worthy."
That exchange had me confused a little in 3.
Yeah like ok he promised you could have one so what!!
He was hinting that he can actually wield one
And when he said "the old Coot promised me his" he was likely referring to MoM giving him the No Name Keyblade
Because he gave his keyblade away, to Brain
That moment when you realize that when Xigbar was "dying" in KH3 he left his arrowguns behind. Symbolizing that from here on out he is Xigbar/Braig no more. Since the next time we see him, he reveals his true identity.
And has a keyblade
Xigbar is the obito of kingdom hearts.
I’m a massive fan of the MOM’s ability to gaslight
There was the line where he flat out told Sora and Riku he IS worthy of a keyblade. No idle boast there.
I love that line
You forgot the iconic “I’m already half xehanort”
that’s….nuts…
Luxu really did inherit MoM's troll spirit
He really did. I can’t wait to see more
Luxu is almost like the Revolver Ocelot of Kingdom Hearts:
-Both use guns as their main weapon
-Both are always close to the main antagonist
-Both have secret agendas
-and they play both sides to achieve their own goal
I can’t wait to see this alpha male in kh4
"You're pretty good."
I was just thinking the same thing!
Let's not forget the pointing with both index fingers. "You're pretty good".
And he played them like a damn fiddle
What's really insane about Luxu is that he's spent an untold number of years perfecting his craft. To the point, that when he does break character, it's a shock for anyone keen enough to see. It's almost like he's pulling off a gruff Master of Masters skit - especially with all the exaggerated movements he employs.
For real! I’m here for it
I still think the reason "My friends are my power" scared Luxu so much was because its a way of thinking that is completely opposite both what he and the MoM does.
This is my new favorite detail in DDD, thanks.
4:43 to 4:47 😭
As an adult now, some of xigbars words hit way harder.
Let's remember that Luxu's role was to "Watch" but dang, he sure is interfering here. No wonder he's the Traitor.
Good point, who’s “plans” is he actively pursuing the masters or his own
What if that’s what the master wants. Considering he knew that the other fortellers roles would lead them to fighting.
Man was so shocked when those words came out
I would say it reminds him more of the fact that he has stopped believing in what it truly represents, beyond being a source of power.
I love that based on behaviors. Ventus is just as much of a ghost to Luxu as Luxu is to everyone else. This next arch is going to be wild.
Ventus stays relevant
Tbf we don’t know if ventus knows of luxu
I could be wrong but I think Luxu knows everybody except Demyx and Luxord, but there's theories based on the fact that Demyx's reports says he was hanging with the "old guy". Xigbar is not young, so it may be him that demyx was talking about. Maybe Luxu was trying to figure demyx out in order to narrow things down a bit
Demyx has an incredible secret, I can’t sit to hear more about it. I’d love to see them go head to head in the future
@@ImR1der for sure. I can't wait to see more about him and Luxu, and also Luxord
Somewhere in this statement there is a video idea 💡
@@ImR1der my theory: Demyx IS the MoM. They have simular mannerisms, we don't know much about either, and Demyx was connected to the Keyblade war, as were Marluxia and Larxene. This would explain why Demyx doesn't fight much, he's an observer to his plan.
Man I hope he isn’t the master of masters, BUT if he is. I will think it’s the funniest thing ever
I agree I think this is 100% what he intended to do with his remarks
Luxu is so cool, why he gotta do that with the eye brows
He got that stanky eye
I like the quote in game that he says when you defeat him in kh2. In game, when the action stops, the level up message pops up, but before the cuts scene.
He says: I LOST?! ME?!
Right! Man was just as surprised as anyone that they lost
In Birth by Sleep he also has two alternate quotes: "No way...I could lose" and "I'm not supposed to lose!"

“Close to 100 years”
Hasn’t it been, like, way longer than that? That’s what it seems like to me.
Unfortunately that’s correct.
Thats called good retconning
A simple idea+simple retcons
It WAS planned since kh1... Ansem report 12 is referencing strange heart from braig that do not transform into a heartless... Kh3d then gave us the scene when xehanort tries to transform braig...
And we know that luxu has a heart strong enough to possess other body like xehanort.
@@Rikumustang You can interpret it as such retroactively, but I have high doubts Luxu as a character was at all planned until they were making KHX.

Nomura seems to be bigger braining plot this time around, so I’m sure he just got good at hiding
Ventus was chosen by Darkness, not Ava.
Luxu definitely has seen Ventus, but not on personal level. He just saw Ventus as another kid that joined the Dandelions.
100 years? The age at which Ephemer died is considered an advanced age, plus the age of the player from missing link to DR and plus the age at which Xehanort died. Luxu has been hiding its age for more than 300 years.
good video. can’t wait to see what nomura has in store for kh4 and luxu and the MoM
Dude I am so freaking excited! My channel is a KH4 hype channel at this point
I mean there is the part where you hear him say “May your heart be your guiding key.”
@@dinorex3464 ultimately, even Xiggy couldn’t crack Zexion in that scene. However much Zexion did know, he didn’t show it off.

6:45 Rare footage of Xigbar shrinking and turning into a corncob.
I actually really like that idea. Very cool
The last one for example:
"the old coot promised to bequeath me his".
More correctly that keyblade was of the MOM but than the MOM passed his keyblade to luxu so you can say it was a insult to both him and his master
By that point Luxu had transitioned to taking over Bragi, who despite a similar name, looks nothing like Braig.
i like how "xigbar" throws himself off the cliffside to make it seem like hes all finished with so nobody knows whats really up
He was always a personal favorite adversary in the games for me, so now knowing his role makes me wonder, how much has he been holding back in all of his fights.
I hope if we confront him again, he still have a similar fighting style, but more extreme. He was always fun no matter which you fight.
“Figures it would be different if I had a keyblade” I can’t wait to see what he’s like
I remember my fights with "Unknown" (Young Xehanort) in _Birth By Sleep._ I get the nasty feeling that now that Luxu has dropped the mantle of Braig/Xigbar, revealed himself to be who he really is and has taken up the Master of Masters' Keyblade as his own, he's going to make people wish they could fight "Unknown (Young Xehanort) instead!

We’re looking at around a 100 year gap between union X and dark road, and then 80 or so years until kh3’s end. 180-200 years
@ImR1der only a 100-year gap seems too small for what was implied... especially with missing link being thrown into the mix before Xehanort was born.

Luxu has clearly been in braig since the time of bbs.
Even without this the scene make sense howewer because ventus was a "fake" master not chosen by a foreteller
Some of these are pretty clear, but like half of them feel like reaches.

I think this scene speaks more than just that Xigbar/Luxu is afraid of what he's hearing.
Luxu or Xigbar acts like a True Sith Lord.
I'm a simple man I see another kh creator that's actually fire I subscribe
I appreciate your support! More fire on the way
I'm more curious about Luxord and Demyx though.
Aaaaaaand that’s how you secure a new sub. Good job my man. Keep it up.
Thanks for the sun bro I appreciate it! Hope you enjoyed the video!
@@ImR1der I loved it. It brought things to light I hadn’t realized. I’ll be right here supporting a fellow warrior of light. 🙂 keep up the amazing work.
@@4Star18 Lets gooooo! I appreciate bro
I also can't get over the fact that it was HIM to brought Marluxia into the organization, makes me wonder what he planned by that move.
i saw Xigbar, i clicked, i discover a kh channel, i subscribe, i am now happy
Wow thank you saix from the kingdom hearts series
@@ImR1der now make more videos about me 🔫
I love it when my favorite RUclipsr uploads!!!
I love it when my favorite streamer streams 🥵
Make sure to pet the cats when your inside my house. There friendly 😂
I was waiting for someone to make this video. Thank you! I always found Luxu sus throughout the entire franchise.
Sounds like you were onto him when no one else was
it's just crazy that at the time of all these scenes nobody thought anything of it until we got Luxu plot drop then everyone was like hold up did these mean something actually?
With how many weird scenes Xigbar had I am suprised no one thought he was acting strange until it was revealed he was Luxu. Especially in KH3 when he said he is worthy of a keyblade and in the other games when he talks about how Ventus and Sora respectively already have the look of keyblade wielders. Pretty strange things to say when he apparently doesn't have a keyblade
Your first point, is given context since he fought Terra...in birth by sleep...
Even before he fights terra, he points out that he has a keyblade. He had already met the one who would reenact the war. Kh3 reports allows us to know he needed to stay with Xehanort to get no name back.
I also remember that in 358/2 Days he called Roxas 'tiger'. I wonder if it was because Roxas somehow reminded him of Gula (who wears leopard mask)?
I bet everytime Luxu just looked at Xehanort who possessed Terra, he was just thinking, "Man, if i had my keyblade, I'd be beating the hell out of him for taking my eye."
You definitely missed his biggest tell to the audience, the utterance of "May your heart be your guiding key."
Aqua notes in 0.2 that the phrase is ancient and has long fallen out of use, and Mickey tells her that he heard it from Yen Sid, who we have no feasible fix on the age of, but if he knows it, and repeats it often, then it had to have still been in favor as late as Scala ad Caelum's height.
3:55 I do have a theory on why Xigbar spesifically sees Ventus from all people:
Ventus was the one who "physically" killed Strelitzia, regardless if he was posessed or not, later in the game we see her talking with Lauriam in a white coat, next scene is a Chirithy saying that he saw 2 coated guys (black and white) passing together, lastly Luxu puts someone with a white cover or coat in a pod, combining all that together it must have been Strelitzia.

You forgot one
When you defeat xigbar in kh2 and the slow motion affects the screen before the cinematic enters, xigbar says: I LOST?! ME?! That was back in 2006, and made me think xigbar was bigger than he looks like.
"Me!? I'm already half Xehanort 😂
😮
In the words of Luxu himself: That clever little sneak!
I have the sneaky suspicion that luxu is in just the nobody of a master of masters
I can handle them retconning Ansem's name in KH2, but this crosses the line.
I wonder what happened to Luxu between KH chi back cover and KH3. His personality is completely different between the two.
His lived multiple lives, but good poibt
Bragi happened. As Bragi, Luxu had to learn to be aloof to fit in with the childish, eccentric keyblade wielders of Scala ad Caelum. Stuck with him, perhaps Bragi was the longest he spent in one form before Braig.
Jujutsu Kaisen spoilers
You know, when you really think about it, Luxu was the og Kenjaku
lol everyone has been saying something similar. Someone said sasuke
Kingdom Hearts is gonna be Naruto at this point
MoM = Tobi/Obito, he's gonna be a controversial character that divides the fanbase trying to unravel his identity and his real identity is gonna end up being someone wild as hell like Demyx
Luxu = Black Zetsu, has his own intentions that are (probably) bigger than the MoM, but for now just an observer.
(unrelated)
Xehanort = Pain/Nagato, he's the way he is because of trauma in his younger life also there's several versions of him acting as a unit
fair lol
The subscribe button shone with multiple colors the moment you mentioned it in the video...interesting
now imagine MOM and xigbar having a conversation with their attitude and comedy compared to Version 1 luxu
i sense comedy gold in action
100 years? There has to have been more time between the KHUX Keyblade War and Sora's adventures. Do we have a confirmed timespan that I missed?
ill have to look it up, but yeah unfortunately its something like that.
More like 1,000 years have passed between UX days to Sora's journeys.
Unfortunately Nomura interviews have confirmed it’s closer to 100 years
Warning: long text analysis
I am assuming a "generation" is 25 years on average, but it could vary by a like 5 or 10 years.
That’s a fair assessment
When "Xigbar" was talking about "the old coot", he wasn't referring to Xehanort. He was referring to the Master of Masters.
The fact that he set ienzo up to die breaks my heart.
Me: I give on up kingdom hearts
Xigbar walking pass by me
xigbar demands you watch him
Wait a second i just realize.
Just imagine if Xigbar/Luxu did have a Keyblade when fighting Sora and Riku in KH3, would have been an interesting fight.
Man Nomura is lucky to have a fanbase this delusional hahahaha
This is a cool video and shows how closely you pay attention to Luxu. Keep it up 👍🏻
NOMURA’s wild ride continues
You can tell when Luxu is Xigbar by the eye color, so the very first clip you showed with Braig..is actually Braig.
4:29 This is the first I’m learning that KH2 was the original game.
The original time we saw Xigbar was my thought process
I just wanna know how he fuses himself to people I can’t wait to learn about that
And without being caught by anyone that person had known at the time cause surely someone would notice a change in personality but if not he must watch that person a lot to learn about them before taking over who knows
