    Adele: How to Be Authentic
Adele might be the best singer alive. Her music is soulful and moving. What’s fascinating about her is that the “honesty” in her music extends to her interviews and offstage interactions. So in this video I want to explore what makes Adele come across as so genuine. We'll watch her interviews with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, James Corden on Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show, and Fredrik Skavlan on Skavlan. We'll also listen in on her song "Someone Like You" to watch how she delivers it with such pure emotion.
Learning where that feeling arises from will make it easier for you to spot fakers and it will make it possible for you to become more genuine yourself, which will make people you barely know trust you and want to get to know you better.
James Corden And Adele Singing Carpool Karaoke: www.youtube.co....
The three things that Adele does so well that will we cover are:
    1) Smiling Genuinely
    2) Being Honest And Congruent With Her Feelings
    3) Praising Others Openly And Freely

Being authentic takes a lot of work. You must watch videos and read books about how to be authentic. Observe authentic people and imitate their behavior. Practice being authentic into a mirror.

You should do a video about Tupac Shakur. He had insane charisma. And I like how he could be very kind, happy, peaceful but other times he could be very assertive, expressive even agressive. And its incredible that his strong spirit and presence persists even to these days. I think that is very unique.

Great video. I like how you focus more on how to become the thing you want to be and not how to fake it. I would love to see more counter-examples. When you talked about smiling and later about congruence I really wanted to see examples of obviously fake smiles and of bad congruence. I do realize though that can be lots of extra work. Anyhoo, looking forward to the next one!

+Charisma on Command i know you do a lot of videos using interviews to analyze charisma but would you ever consider doing a video on exploring body language and charisma on a singer's body language? like how some musicians just kill a great solo by just standing there like an amateur politician vs a experienced performer like adele or brendon urie, that can really just hype up the crowd with their body language?

This is totally one of the problems I have with my videos... I went to broadcasting school, so I get on camera and I go into news reporter mode. It's not that I'm trying to be anything that I'm not, I just kind of go into "on" mode and you get glimpses of how I really talk with friends here and there. I'd like to be 100% talking with friends on camera. I've actually just started noticing recently how incongruent I can be on camera. I'll say "I'm so excited" but it's practically monotone! Something to work on. Thank you so much!!!! Great video!

Authenticity of a person is what really matters in every kind of relationship whether it's your partner or a friend because you know that they wouldn't betray you no matter what happen. Genuine person will confront you with an honest mistake that you committed but fake people will talk nicely in front of you but will talk bad things behind your back.

Imo her form of charisma is one of the most powerful, as it is something that can be put on auto-pilot much more readily. It is simply the charisma of being yourself. Instead of piling on body language, philosophies, and vocabulary that works for others, we can instead chip away the marble that prevents us from being the charismatic people we all really are inside. Not to say that achieving this form of charisma is easy, it's probably the hardest to achieve, actually. But the most satisfying, I'm sure. Great video!

100% agree with this video, especially the part about the ego (which is really all this is saying, lose the ego fuel to be genuine and happy). I remember when I was in my teens, I had the biggest ego and it actually ended up making me very insecure because I honestly felt threatened by people who were better than me at any particular thing. After I had a moment of self humiliation I went on a track to lose that ego because I saw pretty plainly after that that it wasn't good for me. Life is a lot less stressful now, I can say that for sure

SO. MUCH. YES. I love Adele, and your descriptions of what make her so alluring and accessible are spot on. I MUST applaud you most of all, however, for using the words "Real" and Genuine" in the video but not once using "authentic" aside form the in the Video Title, which I presume is just good marketing for baiting clicks. I applaud applaud applaud. I am so sick of "authentic" as a buzzword. It's so over-used that it has become used in inappropriate ways. I think it's gotten to the point of the mere utterance of "authentic" being the most inauthentic adjective to use. So thank you. Meta-thank you. I love this channel.

She acts very human and relatable - you can see that in the Oscar speech. Most celebrities use that as a platform to preach on their political cause - climate change, milking cows, Trump, etc. Adele comes on and says "I'm a new mum and this is a great night out". Lol! It makes you laugh. She acts as the definition of down to earth.

Another incredibly authentic thing about Adele: she isn't crazily skinny, like some other music artists. She isn't fake in that way, which definitely makes her look more real.

Hey really enjoy these videos, not for just the entertainment but because they're really helpful. Please do Harvey Specter vs. Mike Ross. Both have incredible charisma and I really like the show and I would love to hear your breakdown!

    I have a suggestion that would be the most helpful to us extraordinary ordinary people you know, the people who aren’t professional actors who’ve memorized their lines and have perfected the art of appearing sincere or whatever it is that they’re acting at the time. Since your words of wisdom practicality are clearly helping so many people including yourself and your friends and family, it would be something even more extraordinary and insightful to see you take a friend or willing participants out with you who share similar insecurities about their own gestures and record you going out together and coaching them through these steps so that viewers can see;
    1. How they’re gestures or mannerisms speak to those around them, despite how uncomfortable it may feel so we can identify with it.
    2. After coaching them while we watch so we can understand more precisely what it is that putting others off, and how exactly to demonstrate the opposite advise, when this advise should be applied to get the most effective results and in order since this is equally crucial.
    3. And finally after you’ve given this advise, to allow the viewers to join you in watching your friends or willing brave participants demonstrate what you’ve showed them, allowing us to see what they do and if they can effectively accomplish what you’re advising, and for us to see HOW MUCH IT CHANGES THE WAY THEY APPEAR TO SEEM to other people.
Instead of watch clips of professional actors demonstrate “normalcy and authenticity” since its safe to say that actors practice for a very long time if not all the time that the rest of the world simply can’t do!!
By holding a giant mirror in front of people who may not even realize they’re doing the things that you’re recording may help even these people think “ Oh wow, I think I do those things in public, I can’t believe that I came off that way and even more surprising, how easy it seemed to apply the better gestures that evidently provide the better impression of myself”.
Then you’ll become a famous celebrity as will your friends and family members who will inevitably call you the real like Hitch of Charisma and you’ll go down in world history as one of the greatest, most influential people of ALL TIME!!
Well that part may be a bit dramatic, but it sure as hell will give you more credibility and more viewers! Which you must know would be pretty great right?? Now I know what you’re thinking.. “ Who is this woman and where has she been all my life??! “ Yep, I get that a lot. 😂 I’m kidding, I have a difficult time believing that I am the only person who has suggested this to you, but if I am, then I hope I’ve helped!!
Love your channel, and thank you so much for sharing your vulnerability with the world!! You rock!

    This was great.
"To move others you first have to move yourself"
I wrote a piece about learning a new language and how many people translate their language into their target language and the issues with that. The main idea of that piece was that if you want to learn a new language you first have to have something you want to say. When you want to say something important or get an idea across your brain activates in a way that helps you learn the language quickly and you sound more fluent. What you are talking about here feels similar to that idea and makes so much sense.
I am thinking now how much I stop myself from feeling my own feelings. I spend way too much time wondering if I am feeling the right things rather than just embracing my feelings. Also, why am I not just enjoying and being genuinely happy more. I put way too much stress on myself and edit my thoughts and feelings way too much. Being authentic shouldn't be hard work right?

Absolutely love the videos. Don't know if you'll pick this up but my favorite motivational speaker is a Gentleman by the name of Les Brown. I read one of his books when i was 17 and it changed my life. There's loads of videos on here of him. Would love to see your evaluation. Keep up the awesome work. Thanks.

Loving your videos, but I just have to correct one tiny thing: Skavlan is not singing in his native language. He sings in Swedish, but is Norwegian. Probably sounds exactly the same for none-natives but eyy, we're two different countries people haha. Though I am aware he actually says "it's a Norwegian one", but believe me, it's not

    Charisma breakdown suggestions:
Andy Samberg, who seems to be very well-liked among celebrities and is always charming on interviews.
    Terry Crews, everybody loves Terry!
Graham Norton, who is my favorite interviewer and always connects with people positively.
Tony Robbins, he transmits so much energy and positivity even when he's being rough or cursing at people!
Please, these would be awesome :)
