There are several different methods for carrying bikes: mounting them on the front bumper of the tow vehicle, above the cab, above the bed of a truck, off the 5th wheel kingpin, above the propane tanks on a travel trailer, placing them inside the RV or off the rear of the RV. Great information Josh.. I have a tailgate pad, and I have buckle straps that go over the frame. I put a microfiber cloth between the frame and the strap to prevent damage to the bike. It shouldn’t affect the strength of those bars, but enough to add a small buffer. I’ll send you a pic.
Also, very surprised there aren’t more heavier duty racks for e-bikes yet.

I've seen the tailgate pads - but they've never been an option for me because even without towing a trailer we always seem to have gear in the bed of the truck! There are some decent looking eBike racks out there - however most of them are only for 2 bikes - I agree it'd be nice to see some 4 and 5+ ebike setups and how the market innovates around these newer types of bikes.

My wife and I have 2 ebikes and I wish there a way to mount those bike cradles on each side of the truck bed
