I recently purchased three of these for myself and my two children. I've used a drone before but hadn't flown in at least ten years; my daughter and son have never flown drones. Both of my kids (early & mid-teens) were able to fly these immediately, without watching the training videos in the app, after I gave them about a one minute demonstration on the controls. Very pleased with the purchase.
thanks for your video i just bought a f11gim2 and it dosent have the handles and it has the c cable and dosent use wifi. I have yet to fly it out doors but will soon. cant believe peoples rude comments on here. keep up the good work it was very helpfull to me. flying drones in Wyoming!! I also fly rc planes have you ever got into those??
Hl, great videos, just a recommendation, there is a Restricted Air Space at South Padre Island close to east cut, where drones are not allowed, and fine goes from 30,000 dls. I'm taking classes to get my professional drone license and is very useful learning about all those FAA regulations
Can you add some information on the spots you can flight a drone around SPI , just order my swell pro for shark bait deployment!!! Don't want to break any laws!!! Any info will be appreciated.. Grate video!!! Keep it coming 👍🏽
Nice clear picture here. Should be a sweet addition to your channel. Thanks for sharing my friend. I have a Vivitar drone myself but I haven’t taken it out on my adventures in a while.
I just purchased one of these and have had it for about a week. I am new to drones, so I didn't want to spend "DJI Money" right off the bat. I live in la Republica de Panama, so the winds are a factor. I don't have confidence that a "mini" can hold its own here. This drone has done well so far. I have tested the GPS "Follow me", as well as the Waypoint feature. So far, so good. Solid entry-level drone at a competitive price. Thanks for your thoughts - GREAT VIDEO, AMIGO!
Robert that it is a nice toy I have one but I didn’t read all the instructions and I did crash 💥 it but like always I enjoy your videos thanks and god bless you and your beautiful family AJUA
I would think you should familiarize yourself with the particular drone you are going to review. This Ruko F11 Gim2 is a great little drone. I have both the F11 Pro and now the F11 Gim2 and both of them do a true "Follow Me" function. You just have to select the right button. It appears that you were still in the "Follow Image" setting instead of actually being in "Follow GPS" setting. I use this all the time to follow me when I"m driving my SXS. The Gim2 is so much more stable when using this feature.
I’ve been flying DJI drones for a few years now and their interface is intuitive. I wanted to test it out as honestly as possible straight out of the box. I noticed there were many other reviews already out and I wanted a different take. Thanks for watching and sharing 🎥
How difficult was it to get your license? What type of fees did you have pay(license time frame/renewal)? What personal information did you have to disclose? What study guides would you recommend, if any? I have a dji Mavic Zoom and love it. This drone seems to do pretty much everything mine does, without the heavy cost.. Great video, keep them coming!
So I tried studying on my own with little success. I paid $179 for an online course and it helped tremendously. I studied everyday for a week until I absorbed the material. It’s not incredibly hard, but it’s definitely not a joke lol. Try mzeroa.com. I used it to study and then they walk you through to test at a local test site. Then you pay any other FAA fee and get a little ID card you’ll never use but apparently need 😂
Thanks for the review. I use my DJI Mavic air II and man it really works well even with gusting winds. I do have viewer's asking what drone I use and what would I recommend, that say the DJI is a bit costly. Maybe I can do a review of one you used and maybe recommend it. Did you figure out the tracking.
I haven’t played with it since. I have a couple of Mavic pros and my favorite is an Air 2s that I use. The whole thing is the price for some people and this thing will do the basic job. I wouldn’t use it for pro jobs though.
@CoastalGX thanks for the fast reply! Great video btw. Ok, I just got back from the 1st test flight. Everything worked great. This thing is awesome. Apparently there are 2 different hand control models for the GIM 2. Now the only question is, is yours or mine the updated version
Do you recommend buying for a first time drone buyer I want to take it to June lake and mammoth next weekend . Film my sons and I fishing . Will this be good for that ?
@@robertvasquez2430 it will do the job. I recommend you get it with plenty of time so you can practice and become familiarized with it. A DJI entry level drone is also another viable option if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
its not dji but seems to be a decent drone for the price it lands really hard but im use to dji i may buy this to try it out if anything it would be a good play drone good video man
Hey bud, yes I agree with you regarding the zoom. It’s way too grainy IMO. Perhaps a dumb question for those who record often but I’m a bit confused regarding the sound. I see that your voice is being recorded as you fly, from your phone. Do you know if the drone has a mic? And if so how is it activated. I never hear any sound on mine, just a muted video. Sorry for my ignorance here but I’m not a tech guy. More of a wrench head 😎 And let’s say it doesn’t have a mic, how do you record the video from drone while voice on phone at the same time 🤔 Thanks!
This drone DOES have audio. You have to click the little "mic" icon on the app. However, it records audio from your phone (at the controller), NOT from the drone itself. There's no mic on the drone.
@@davecarsley8773 ah damm you had me excited for a second 😆 In retrospect I’m thinking why would I want a mic on a drone. Wouldn’t it just pick up the sound of the propellers!? But thanks for the tip! Gonna have to look into it, perhaps some narration while flying would be nice 😎
Hello Kevin, unfortunately drones aren’t permitted at PINS. Also, please read up on their changed photography and video requirements. They are absolutely ridiculous and the reason why I don’t visit anymore.
@@CoastalGX yes, it is totally ridiculous! What a better place to fly a drone than the beach especially if there’s not many people around! In my opinion, our government has gone way overboard when it comes to things like this. There are some real nut jobs running things, and “ not we the people.”
Sorry you wrecked it. That happens. Perhaps do a full physical inspection of the UAV to see if there’s any issues with the props and battery/connections. A steady red light indicates battery problems. Try a different battery or check for a disconnected battery connection perhaps. Good luck.
I have the Gannet pro plus and the camera sucks balls 😆 like vhs quality with the camera man shaking uncontrollable 🤣🤣🤣 But it is an awesome fishing drone
Needed much more time. But I will say something very honest. I didn’t have to break my brain in order to figure out any DJI product. I’ve been flying drones for over 4 years and they were much more intuitive.

I just got the F11 GIM2 from Amazon. The handle remote is bigger, doesnt have the fold out handles or the 2 antennas. Did I get ripped off?

Why would I pay over 400 dollars for the Roku f11s when it's an "exact" copy of sjrc f11s pro 4k for 200 dollars?

Can I fly my drone at North Padre Island? I have taken my test and have my drone certificate. I don’t know if it matters or not. Thanks for the video!

Can you add a bait drop system for fishing.
I didn’t see anything that would allow for that. Wish it did lol

can this lift up to 10 oz fishing bait?
I don’t think so. I probably wouldn’t try it only cause I don’t know if there’s a trigger to release a servo. But hey, anything is possible lol
What was wind speed that day
Only about 11, but it held its own at the altitude limit.
Uh, the tide is coming in and you need to get out of there.
When in doubt, read the instructions 😂

What’s the flight time for I charge battery
