Thanks for the response. I am weary of screw in type anchors. Tried one once years ago but it pulled out of the soft sand on PINS. Usually use a 2x4 & cordage. Just takes extra time to dig them in. May give a set of these a try.

@@CoastalGX I’m the kind that will dig deep to get rid of those noises. I’ve got one on my back seat where it latches to the cab. I have to go in every couple months and put a few layers of tape over the latching hoop. No lubricant will keep it away unfortunately. Just two layers of electrical tape and it’s good for a few months.

Good tips. I coat all metal components with Surface Shield twice a year and sometimes even more often as I see a need. I tried my best to avoid the saltwater, but there’s bound to be some splashing up anyway.

this looks deceptively easy but its not, I go out here often and when the water is this high it creates sneaky potholes like quick sand you need a very reliable and capable vehicle to get through this with power. Not to mention recovery gear you get stuck here and your truck is toast! and you block the way out for others.

@@Adrian-jh5cr absolutely. The camera doesn't capture how the vehicle is leaning and sliding either. The debris is so sketchy.
