Wow. Thank you for your videos. I just got a 4runner a year ago but I have yet to take her out to the end of the beach because I've never driven in conditions like this and don't know what to expect. These videos are helpful since I can see the positive days and the not so positive days!
Well said, brother! Thanks for the video. It sure makes a difference. Be careful out there, bro! We both know it can be 10 times worse! Love you, bro! Take care of you!
@@CoastalGX I’m the kind that will dig deep to get rid of those noises. I’ve got one on my back seat where it latches to the cab. I have to go in every couple months and put a few layers of tape over the latching hoop. No lubricant will keep it away unfortunately. Just two layers of electrical tape and it’s good for a few months.
this looks deceptively easy but its not, I go out here often and when the water is this high it creates sneaky potholes like quick sand you need a very reliable and capable vehicle to get through this with power. Not to mention recovery gear you get stuck here and your truck is toast! and you block the way out for others.
Hey Robert, I seen the pinche Taco trucks and said they are already driving all the way to the east cut. Well at least you pre washed the underneath with rain water.
@@CoastalGX oops. Just noticed yu were on south. We werr on pins. Was nasty. Then went to magnolia n wss too windy to setup n stayed in port lavaca at la quinta (i recommend). Then down to matagorda beach(chocolate milk).
Cool video, Seeing people driving in the salt water make me cringe every time ! Even do i use an undercoat protection i try to avoid salt water, also i want to give you a tip take the door trim off from the inside along whit the floor trim( just the bottom piece ) and spray the undercoat there too, after removing the floor trim you will found a couple of holes that give you access to the rockers, i use a long hose to spray the under coat and go to town on them this will potentially save you $$$ because there is really no good way to access this area from underneath the truck, also check your under coating sometimes if you go thru to much water it may need a quick touch up , in some of my trucks i do a retouch every 6 months i have found areas that where complete clean off the under coat due to the ac water condensation constantly dripping in the same area.
Good tips. I coat all metal components with Surface Shield twice a year and sometimes even more often as I see a need. I tried my best to avoid the saltwater, but there’s bound to be some splashing up anyway.
A rough day at the beach still beats a good day at work stay safe brother
Amen, Nick! The temps were really cool.

Thanks, brother!! Yes, we’ve seen it way worse lol.
Looks like a walk in the park for sandy 👍 that was an adventure buddy
The Blue Lines 5.0 mobile did great too!! lol
Oh man! What a trip. On another note, if I had that squeaking going on in my truck, I think I would have gotten out and walked 😂
Lmao. I was wondering who was going to bring that up. I can drive for hours with it and it actually chills me out 😂

@@txfieros I think it’s my drawers lol. I will zone out with the noise anyway. Deep in my thoughts or play music 😂
That’s crazy how it’s a big difference from one week ago it was nice and it was low tide
That’s what inspired me to do the video also. It was so nice and the water clear last week. Then, bam! lol
Waw Mr. Robert that was something else 😮
Hello Juan, yes, it was an amazing interesting adventure. Saludos!!

@@Adrian-jh5cr absolutely. The camera doesn't capture how the vehicle is leaning and sliding either. The debris is so sketchy.
@@CoastalGX Agreed i went out a couple weeks ago and there was a lot of washed up wood and junk, I have 8 ply tires on my Tundra so it helps
32:36 The snack van never takes a day off 😂
He chose the wettest line 😂

Rey and I were thinking that the helotero truck driver was probably not the owner 😂
We camp3d 6 miles down thursday night. Nice sleepin, but couldnt get to fish cause of ditch and debris. Glad we left when we did.
We camped at mile marker 9. Glad we bailed before the tide reached the top. Thanks for watching.

@@fishinncookinnsuch I plan to do a 5 day trip at PINS in October. Heading to the end (60 miles).
@@CoastalGX cool. Me n charlotte thinkin the same. Always wanted to go to the channel. Hope the beach cleans up some.
How funny the snack van out there!
Bro!!! Yes, we thought the same thing. I did a double take and was surprised to see him happily driving in saltwater 😂😂😂
What do you use to protect your vehicle from salt water?
Good question. I use Surface Shield. Any lanolin based petroleum oil.
Cant say i've ever seen the surf come up so high on PINS.
I’ve seen it much worse at SPI. Some people have been land locked for a day! Scary.
Was on Whitecap this past weekend and tide was higher than I had ever seen it. Im assuming the huge storm in the Gulf was causing the surge?
Yes and the strong winds for sure. I hate that weather at SPI.

I’ve never seen the beach so covered in debris… wow.
Those storm surges was it up and then it gets covered up by sand eventually 😊
I had a friend that went down the beach in conditions like that and ended up with two flat tires with tide up to dunes. Its not worth it.
I fell to peer pressure from my buddy lol. Yes, not good at all! 🫣
