My favorite cam for any ls Texas speed stage 2 on a 112 makes the small motors feel bigger and the big motors feel like the torque is gonna snap something

With the 4l60e on a gbody do u need a different driveshaft or stock

The lifter noise is most likely from o-ring failure between the pick up tube and oil pump. Cheap fix, just gotta drop the oil pan.

I don’t never run into those kind of issues only issues I run into is mainly headers and drive shaft issues

The "P"........Pittsburg ca. Around these parts.......I gotta 4.8 with a 220/220_ .595/.595_112lsa cam and she pulls like a pissed 6.2 , revs out too 7.5k rpm all day long

The stock tune on the 4.8 is soooo sluggish a tune really wakes them up. With stock tune you can’t even burn on a corner
What transmission crossmember would you recommend doing a swap in 86 elco 5.3 4l60 and how much would a mail order tune be if you do those

I might need you to do my cutlass I’m not getting no power to my fuel pump wire and I have the original harness with aftermarket fuse box
I dont touch any cars that uses we worked harness to much of a head ache and to many guessing games I’m sure I can get it to working though

Start of buying putting a hot and a ground and see if the pump comes on if it doesn’t the wither a bad fuel pump or bad wiring I’d start there next would be the relay
Tried that way fuel pump comes on how you said to try it with hot and ground wire straight but I still don’t get no fuel pressure I think the engine is 2012 4th gen 5.3

Damn yo I just got a 86 El Camino everything original in it i had to do only a few things to it cause the alternator wasn’t powering it enough. I’m tryna do a engine swap but i just got in the game i’m tryna figure out what’s best to do to it. I wanted to make it a lowrider but then again I wanna swap out its original engine. If you see this and can give me any suggestions or advice please do yo! I just got into the game i’m 21 so go easy on me haha.
A clear vision is of utmost importance. What do you want your car to do? (Before you think about making it pretty.) A car on the road is worth 12 in the garage.
Do you want a great street cruiser with averaged performance? (Remember: this average is increased with more power = more money = more probability of breaking = more money = LESS MONEY. So, think before planning for 500 hp on a daily car.) It's a toy at that point.
A race car? (Drift, AUTOX, Rally, Drag, Circuit...idc;idk) It's an expensive toy there too, but you have to build the entire car around this idea. Rally would require an engine and powertrain setup that is short geared, and probably only topping out at 130mph. Drag racing would require a bias of shorter gearing to get going and then longer gears up top depending on how far your track spans. Drift, etc.
Or do you want a show car that you simply drive to the show, park and chill. Or try to get your car in magazines for it's flawless paint & body?
There are an endless number of factors that go into it, as everything is extremely meticulous, and long winded. It's tough to go through everything online, this is the short answer.
Follow an idea.
Maybe you should do a tour, and fix cars, while people provide the living arrangements.

New of course but it’s all on your budget

You can get a junkyard motor and make it better than new for pennies on the dollar.....pistons and bearings are cheap, the cam is what's gonna cost the most along with machine work if you need to bore it.....I've gotten lucky with the last 3 motors and gotten away with just a dingleball hone job.....

They come in silverado it’ll say 4.8/5.3 it’s 4.8-5.3 share the same block but the 4.8 has flat top pistons
