It was great to see Raya still able to have a laugh and even make a joke about her luggage. She has a great character.
Haha a bit harsh. She was obviously was upset by it and did well getting through it. There was probably more at play too. Like she said about not having an address, she could find it hard not having a place to call home. I have never even heard about her parents home either. Or just the fact the people lied about her luggage getting on the plane.

I lived in a Swedish, German, Italian and Portuguese community during the fall of the Berlin Wall. I was about ten years old and I remember having to stay inside and not being able to go to school because my grandfather had fought in WWII. Most of the children in my community had grandparents who had served during that war as well. I just remember being told to speak good thoughts because the Wall had divided families. My Grandfather never had to speak of the war until that day when Marine officers came to our door.
Guys you have to visit Plovdiv its an amazing town in Bulgaria I'm from there, you should totally check it out!

I can totally relate! When I was travelling to Colombia my bag got lost between Sydney and LA. I was staying in Colombia for four months and I didn't get my bag back for a whole month!

Make sure to pack some warm sweaters and a warm jacket, too! Summer's slowly coming to an end here in germany so the evenings/nights can get quite chilly^^

Because Raya is born in Bulgaria, so she's Bulgarian citizen.
I dont think she has US citizenship. I always see her traveling on her Bulgarian passport. :)
I'm the same, lived in America for years now, still never bothered getting citizenship, I travel on my Irish passport because there's just no need really

I was raised in Berlin for the first 5 years of my life (born in 1985) but don't remember the situation of separation (but my mother does, she lived here for 33 years). I wished I could have met you guys - you definitely spent the time in Berlin very nicely! Lots of love to you
i had the worst travelling experience ever with airberlin recently.
on the way to berlin my bags went missing for four days, and i couldn't get in contact with anyone to find out what was going on. they literally have no customer service whatsoever. we racked up an 100 euro bill on the hotel phone trying to call them non stop for two hours. i pushed it to the very last day i could but then i had to go and buy everything in my suitcase again because i was starting uni and i had nothing with me, and then it came the day after :-)))))
and then on my way back to melbourne from berlin they wouldn't let me get on my flight because they said i wasn't in their system.. we called emirates and they spoke to the lady at airberlin and said "she should be on your system, i can see her here. let her on the flight. i can reissue the ticket and you can print it out and she can get on" and the airberlin lady literally snatched the phone off us and said "no I'm not helping you, I'm busy" and walked off.
so we we missed our flight and was stranded for 10 hours at the airport and had to pay for a new flight :-))))))) so i feel raya's pain.

I lost my bag for a few days once in Tanzania!! Yeah, I can definitely relate. I ended up having to sleep on a cement the floor with nothing but a sweater as a mattress/pillow/blanket. It was also a storage room, so their where little beans sticking into me as I slept. To say the least, it wasn't fun. I hope you get your bag back Raya!!

I was going Singapore had to stop off at Indonesia and feel asleep at the airport waiting to go on my plane to Singapore and my bag got nicked with my holiday money in it so I feel your pain hope you get your things back
I was newly 17 when the Berlin wall came down. My dad worked for a federal agency and was so happy to see this event. When the Soviet Union collapsed a couple years later, he couldn't believe that had happened in his lifetime.

I was also 6 when they tore down the wall. I remember hearing about it but I don't like remember where I was or any specific stuff.
