Ah! Great question!! So the rods themselves are an exact match to the diagrams. However, I’ve found in some kits the measurement numbers are not. So I’ve always chosen to confirm with a ruler or tape measure the exact distance. Oh, and to add to this, even as an instructional video, I don’t want to go on blind faith that their diagram is 100% correct, for reasons I mentioned, so that I can show that we’ve got the exact number before moving to the next step.
