Very sad that he quit acting.
Sad since it's because dummies couldn't discern between the actor and the character. Also he was young, so it may have affected him more than, the average adult (a fully mature adult, that is, not the idiots who would boo and throw things at Jack when he showed up to conventions and such). He might forgive the idiots in the masses who loved his acting (obviously including the idiots) and change his mind someday, not that we deserve it, but it would be a welcome comeback someday. It's not like he doesn't have other options, though. When he quit, he was about to go off to college at Oxford to study nuclear physics. So his brain is way out of most of our leagues, because you don't get much smarter than that.

A really talented actor. I can't imagine any other playing Joffrey's part.
According to Wikipedia, he took a hiatus but then worked in theatre and has been in a miniseries, Out of Her Mind (2020) and a thriller, In the Land of Saints and Sinners, which isn't out yet, along with something called Rebecca's Boyfriend in 2021.

The smile that slowly comes across your faces as you realize that Joffrey is dying. It's so priceless. I was home from college, and the only one in my family who hadn't seen season four yet. And when Joffrey died, I paused and screamed and ran around my uncles house with so much joy in my heart. One of the happiest moments I've EVER had watching TV..... I just wanted to last longer
Funny , I was sad. He was one of the greatest characters in the history of film
I'll never forget my mom (RIP💔) jumping up and down and dancing in a lil circle as Joffrey choked and sputtered 😂😅😳 She was so delighted, but as a community theater performer and stage producer, she absolutely praised Jack Gleeson's performance ✨️

The greatest wedding in GOT history! The Purple Wedding is the best! You had the exact same reaction that most of us had! I screamed and laughed as well. It just gets better from here. Enjoyed your perfect reaction to this! Lol

just a quick note: the cast said he is one of the nicest people on set. crazy fans constantly harassed him in public and even threatened him because of his character being played so well. I heard he stopped acting because of it.
I think he said that was only a rumor and never really happens...but people were being extra nice to him thinking it was😂
He made the right decision. If you look at these other actors that went on to do other roles it kind of ruins the show/movie. You only see them as their GoT character.
For example, Theon was in John Wick. All I saw was Theon, not a gangster.

If I saw someone threaten him in public I would kill them without hesitation. I would do anything to serve the King. Funny enough, I actually served hard time for stalking the Hound.

I find Oberyn especially good at getting under Cersei's skin about how Princess Marcella is safer in Dorne and addressing her as "former Queen Regnant." Everyone needs a reality check now and again...😄
Queen Regent (when she was (somewhat) in charge before Joffrey came of age). Queen Regnant would be a queen who rules in her own right, which Cersei has not been.

This scene was the first time they had so many of the cast together in one place, many hadn't met yet.
Jaimie can use that gold hand as a shield and punch instead acting like it doesn't even exist. Joffrey went out like a super star. Great actor! Loved hating him. Peter procured the poison, drunk delivered it in the necklace to Sansa, grandma Tyrell took the bead poison off and drugged the wine.
Joffrey's distasteful antics before he got poisoned makes his death so much sweeter😁

Their marriage wasn't consummated, and Margaery would be queen consort (wife of king), not a ruling queen anyway, so she won't become the ruler. Tommen is next in line to be king. But you have a lot right.

And so on... there is a bastard last name from each of the 7 kindoms.

@@fazediamond5671 No, the bastards of the westerlands from Casterly Rock and all of the Lannisters lordship area is "Hill". So he's technically Joffrey Hill. He was born in King's Landing but I still believe he would be a "Hill" because both parents are from the westerlands.

I think Jon's case is different. We know he was born in Dorne and therefore would have been Sand but did he tell Cat that he was born there? Probably not so that's why he's a snow.

Margery would never be the leader. What would happen is her child with Joffery would become the king (had they consumated and she became pregnant), but either Joffery would name a protector of the realm for the mean time, or probably the brother of Joffery would do it in the mean time.
I had such mixed reactions to the wedding. I think I celebrated Jeoffrey's demise for 0.3 seconds until I realized Cersei was going to pin it on Tyrion.
Tyrion should have left with Shae like she wanted.

They did not consummate the marriage, she is not queen
Rule doesn't pass to the spouse anyway, regardless of whether or not the marriage was consumated. She was the queen as soon as the wedding ceremony was completed (the bedding isn't part of any ceremony, it's just a tradition), now she's the former queen. Cersei is still the Queen mother and is now Queen Regent to Tommen because the rules of succession state that the titles are passed to the closest living male heir.
